Arden shook his head, "No, it's okay. It's just...someone else I know doesn't trust me right now. She...I had best intentions for her, and still what I did is unforgiveable." He sighed, looking back over to her. "Any minute, no longer than five minutes at most."

She frowned. "I'm sorry to hear... I guess some times even if we have good intentions some times.. we're wrong?" Shaking her head lightly, she offered him a small smile. "Thanks... for helping me you you know.."

She chuckled and nodded. "Yes.. quite amazing.. just like sometimes the biggest, strongest, stallions can be the biggest babies when they're ill." She snickered slightly reflecting on the last time her mate had become sick.. he'd been just about helpless. But then, she figured she might have been the same way had she been as ill as he.

Chuckling she nodded. "Ah yes.. I think it goes that way for all of us in general really.. some times we just don't want those around us to know when we're hurting." She nodded matter of factually with a small smile.

She frowned some. "I'm afraid I don't know what you speak of.. I've never truly been alone.. I've always had family I could turn to." Her vision followed his for a moment. "Have you lost some one?" She'd seen what the pining of some one could do to another through one of her herd mates who was currently pining over a friend of hers that was avoiding him due to a personal reason.. Sh wasn't about to stick her nose into that mess but she did feel for him and anyone else in his situation.

Arden sighed deeply, "I did. I lost someone through my own foolishness. I drove her away, she won't speak to me or visit. And now there's not anyone left to care for me."

Briallan's face softened. "I'm sorry to hear.. Perhaps.. she just needs some space? Some time to sort out her own feelings and such.. Some mares will seek distance to allow them to think and sort it all out before coming to a conclusion. Even if it takes months, years.. what matters is that she's taking the time to weight it all out so as not to make a snap decision that she might well regret the rest of her life. Does that make any sense? I'm just saying not to loose all hope just yet.."

She blinked some. That was a bit strange.. some one he'd raised as his own.. he'd found himself romantically troubled over. it was unorthodox in her mind... Shaking her mind back to the conversation at hand, she chastised herself for a close minded moment and smiled. "I'm sure in time. She might come around to forgive you. And if not.. then you just need to accept her decision and move on. I know it's not the softest thing to say but the truth some times hurts. Just... hope for the best but prepare for the worst is all I can say."

"I can't move on!" He nearly shouted it, "I'm sorry. She's like my own child. I don't want her to hate me forever. I gave her the wrong advice twice. She forgave me the first time, but now she---I may have messed up the love of her life by telling her the wrong thing. I only wanted her to be sure she loved him before she settled down. That's what every parent wants right?" He looked her in the eye.
