Keeping his hands in his pockets, he shrugged and followed the Baku around. Since she didn't need a whole lot, he just sort of tailed her while she grabbed ingredients, helping her find a few of the things as well.
"Mac blamed Mitsu. I blamed Mac," he said plainly. That was.... the jist of it after all, even if it didn't go into specifics.
"As for Mitsu... she's doing a little better I guess. She's still worried about Ziggy," he said with a hint of frustration in his voice. Shun just thought back to how he originally found the girl and that image still pissed him off.

Xiu didn't say anything for a while. She simply frowned, looking deep in thought as she took everything in. Mac...he wouldn't really hurt Ziggy, would he? Especially after Shun had talked to him? "Did you get Mac to apologize?" Because if he didn't, Xiu would have to make a mental note to get on the hat-wearing reaper's case. And well, if that didn't work, the one person who she knew would be able to get through to Mac would be Lizzy.
She sighed heavily as she dumped a few more objects into her basket. Just one or two more to find, and they could get to a cashier. "Poor Mitsu," She murmured, looking a little upset herself. However, she quickly put on a more determined expression. Well, that's why she was here and buying all this stuff. She would just have to make the best mooncakes Mitsu had ever had and hopefully that would cheer her up a bit.
Of course, it would be best if all of the lycan's friends pitched in to help. It was also a way to show that they cared, right? "Aniki, why don't you think of doing something to make Mitsu happy too? I mean, you're definitely welcome to come and help make the mooncakes with me!" The second part was added on quickly, as she didn't want him to get the wrong idea, "But if there's anything you can do in particular..."
...Hmmm.
"You play the guitar, right?" She recalled him glancing at it earlier.

"He said he'd do it on his own time, whether or not he will is another question," Shun shrugged. It wasn't really a subject he wanted to linger on for much longer, hence his fairly short answers for everything.
Helping out a little with the gathering still, he paused for the moment as she suggested that he do something too. Once more, Lizzy's little plan came to mind, but that idea just kind of annoyed him in a sense more than anything else. Perhaps it was because the Spider Demon practically just dumped the idea onto him.
"If you need the help, I'll see what i can do but I don't think there'd be much for me to do," he said before nodding, "And yes.. I play."

Xiu certainly hoped that Mac ended up apologizing, but she supposed that that was all that could be done on this matter. Sighing again, she shook her head before stepping up the cashier with a basket full of ingredients. As she handed over some silver seeds, the Baku turned her attention back to Shun.
"I was just thinking...how comfortable are you playing in front of people?" She recalled what had happened in music club with Shun being pressured to audition. Since this was just a suggestion, she wasn't trying to force him into anything, but..."I mean...maybe you could play something for Mitsu?"
It seemed like a suitable gift to her, at least. She wasn't sure if the reaper would agree with her opinion, but it was ultimately up to him anyways. Bobbing her head at the cashier in thanks, she turned to look at Shun with a small smile. "Ready to go back? Thank you for coming out with me." If he actually agreed to the music thing, she would probably ask him to deliver the mooncakes for her.

"Hardly," Shun murmured in response before going on to the next question, "I've... played for her once but that was a different situation."
Grimacing a bit, he watched as she gathered the bags and let out a sigh.
"I can't just do it by request. I don't really know what I'll end up playing. It kinda depends on my mood at the time so I could end up doing something dark and angry which probably won't help her out all that much," He frowned, "This is why I don't play for others. It reveals too much."
With a sort of huff, he nodded as she asked if he was ready to head on back.

"Hmm, well...depending on your mood? How do you feel when you see Mitsu sad, though? Don't you just want to help her be happy again?" She wasn't at all surprised that Shun was worried about revealing too much. Xiu knew quite a bit about the reaper now, but it wasn't as if he had wanted to share such information in the first place. He was definitely someone who was more private than open.
Swinging her grocery bags lightly as they headed back, the Baku peered up at Shun thoughtfully. "I have to ask though...is it bad to reveal a little bit of your feelings sometimes? Especially in front of Mitsu?" She always did think that they were fairly close. "I know that you had...reasons for keeping your feelings to yourself, but..."
The thought of his first nightmare made her shiver. What his father did was inexcusable, but there was no one here in Amityville that would treat him like that. She supposed that it was hard to break an old habit, though. Sighing, she smiled and shook her head quickly. "Nevermind, you don't have to play for her if you don't want to. I'm sure she would even appreciate just your company alone." Sometimes it didn't have to take a gift to make someone feel better.

".. I feel a lot of things. Little bit of frustration and anger.. and a desire to make things better.. and a few other things I'm not really sure about," he said with a frown. Lizzy did say for him to try and figure things out before meeting with Mitsu, which should help out with that, but he still wasn't so certain. Shun felt like he hardly knew himself anymore when it came to the emotions.
"Outside of the music, I don't really know how I can reveal them," he sighed, "I don't know what I feel half the time in the first place."
Shaking his head, he stared at the school in the distance, just quietly walking along for a few paces.
"I... just need to think a lot... about everything..." he mumbled.

Poor Shun. He really did seem like he had a lot on his mind right now. Frowning with concern, Xiu shifted one of her bags to her other hand, so that one of her hands could be free to pat Shun on the arm. "Well there's...there's no rush, right? Take your time sorting out what you have to." She paused, considering the fact that he probably would refuse the idea, but...might as well pitch it out there anyways. "And you don't have to, but remember that we're always here to listen if you want to talk, or even just rant. Me, Lizzy, Mitsu..."
Of course, she had no idea that Mitsu played a prominent part in the thoughts that Shun was struggling to mull over.
"Besides, there's no reason to force yourself to analyze your feelings. Just...feel." She was starting to sound like a therapist again. Shaking her head, Xiu immediately smiled again, trying to lighten up the atmosphere. "Do you like mooncakes, aniki? And what kind?" Looked like Mitsu wasn't the only friend who was troubled right now.

Glancing to his side, Shun didn't really think that talking it over would help all that much. He had already spoken to Lizzy and that just opened a ton of new strange doors for himself. Right now he was kind of talking to Xiu and.. he didn't really make any progress. Speaking to Mitsu would not be ideal for this sort of thing either seeing how a lot of his conflicts were surrounding her one way or another.
This was something he'd have to sort out on his own.
Nothing really new there really. The Reaper was used to tackling his problems by himself. It was probably better if things remained that way as well. There was no need to burden others with these sorts of things.
"I don't mind them," He said while looking to her, "I guess... lotus seed? You don't have to make any for me though."

"I want to!" Xiu answered automatically, furrowing her brows as she peered into her grocery bags. Hmmm, lotus seeds...yup! She had bought plenty of those--enough to make some mooncakes for both Mitsu and Shun. Satisfied, she lowered her bags again and grinned up at the reaper. "It's not often that I learn what you like. I owe you for accompanying me out on such short notice as well."
That, and he really did seem to be struggling over...something. While she wasn't sure if it was possible to "cheer up" Shun, she wanted to at least make an effort to present him with something nice. That, and she really did owe him for keeping her company on this shopping trip.
"If music helps you reveal some of your emotions, maybe it would be good if you played a little when we get back. Alone, I mean," She suggested, looking thoughtful, "Would be a good way to clear your mind and relax, I think. Or maybe it'll help you get out those thoughts that are bothering you." Knowing Shun though, the Baku was certain that he would be able to overcome whatever was bothering him. He was her (randomly adopted) big brother, after all.

"I guess.." Shun said while glancing to Xiu again. He soon turned his attention back to the path though. Perhaps a bit of meditating could help him out too, potentially at least, "We'll have to see if it helps at all."
Frowning, he just took in a breath and paused as they reached the school gates once more.
"Do you still need help making them?" he asked the Baku, not really caring if she did or not.

Did she? "Can I trust you not to burn my kitchen down?" Xiu laughed--though she knew Shun would be as poker-faced as ever at her teasing--and then shook her head. "You look like you have a lot on your mind." She wasn't sure if it was better for Shun to mull over things alone, or for them to chat some more. She didn't think that she would be particular helpful, but...maybe, just maybe, he could get an idea for something?
"If you're up for helping though, that...would be nice. I've never tried this recipe before." Having a second opinion would definitely be helpful, and after they were done with the mooncakes, well...perhaps she could ask Shun to deliver them to Mitsu for her, if he was up for it. With two sets of hands, they would probably be able to get through the mooncakes for Mitsu rather quickly.
...She would work on the mooncakes that would go to Shun herself, though. No reason he should have to make his own gift.

The Reaper just sort of stared at the Baku as she teased him. Then, dismissing that, he just thought over if he really wanted to help or not. He did have a lot going on through his head. At the same time, a little distraction could make for a nice relief right now.
"I guess I could come along," he said quietly.
Yes, it should help take his mind off of his issues for a short time. Having it pounding away at him constantly was getting wearisome and all.

Hopefully the task of making mooncakes would help him take his mind off of troubles for a bit. Xiu's tail give a little wave as she looked up at Shun, and she nodded cheerfully. "Thank you, aniki. I promise that this shouldn't take too long!" Since that was decided, she nodding her head in the direction of the demon dorms before leading the way.
Once they arrived at her room, she unlocked the door and immediately heaved the two grocery bags onto her kitchen counters. Arashi, who had be dozing up until then, perked up at the noise and came to investigate. The moment he saw Shun, the feline immediately padded up to the reaper, rubbing his head against the boil's legs in an affectionate gesture.
...While leaving plenty of white hairs on Shun's black pants. Xiu didn't seem to notice.
"Okay, so...I bought enough ingredients for four types of fillings," Xiu's voice filtered in from the kitchen area, "What do you say that we make four mooncakes for Mitsu, then?" By this point, the Baku felt that she knew him well enough to guess that his answer would be something like "doesn't matter" or "whatever is fine", but she figured she would ask anyways.

Once they arrived to Xiu's room, Shun paused and looked on around, having never been in here before. It seemed to be a pretty nice place over all, though his attention soon shifted to the cat that had run over to greet him. Crouching down for a little while, he gave Arashi a little scratch behind the ears before straightening up once more so he could walk on into the kitchen.
"Sure, whatever," he nodded while looking at the bags of stuff she had brought in.
"What were the other fillings?" he asked. Might as well know what he'd be working with here and all.
