In the chaos of battle Treize managed to defend Rerena and Arden bodily, the loyalists fending off the rebels-- this time, but what had meant to be a calm gathering had erupoted into a battle...

One a long time coming. Seeing others leave with Mah'Rie'Meiah made him tense-- but the pride had other fears...

They had to bury their dead, for one. For another, they then had to turn and find the missing. G had bewn ill at ease, and J and S were both furious about the war. And the matter of H and O.

They needed priests but the only ways were to find blood family of them, or...

He grimaced, the thought of bringing a cub into the role distasteful but neciusary. For now, they had to bury their dead.

The count of those who died for him in hisd mind rose by two as he moved amongst the pride-- colonists, Sanc, and Aristocratic alike.

They couldn't afford further division for now.

The next event is coming in the Metaplot! For more info on the pride condition, click here: :B on the Derp.

Rebels should battle loyalists as often as possible and cubnappings to either sides arte common save one metaplotted couple whom will be important-- The Lovers. We are also seeking a Priest H and O-- if interested PM Nova your SoA options. They should be feline-- Hyenas are feared!

Until the next portion, folks!

She took a step back away from him, her beryl colored eyes wide and fearful, "WHAT HOME!, she screamed at him, her voice filled with hysterics. 'Your's? Mine? They are in ruins, lost in this madness. Madness you should have told me about,,,,".

The gentle lioness took a step to far back away from him into the last of the frenzy of the fight and was attacked, the lion pinning her with his weight, claws ripping into her as she screamed and screamed and screamed....

His ears pinned back as she screamed at him, and truthfully he couldn't blame her for her reaction. he had tred to explain... but she had gazed at him with those innocent eyes and that warm smile, and he hadn't the heart to force her to accept, to understand... now he understood just how dangerous it was to keep such information from her... to let her go on in the little bubble-world she had lived in.. but how had he known this would happen?

Suddenly he realised she was moving, backing away from him.. towards the last fighters. "Maidin!" Panic filled his voice as he lurched forwards, desperate to stop her, to keep her safe, but he wasn't fast enough, had let her get too far from his side. Her scream of pain ripped through him, shattered his control and tore away his conscious self. A blood curdling roar filled the air as he launched himself at her attacker, powerful body sailing clean over her to rash into the other lion, claws wide, ripping through flesh and fur, teeth bared as they sank into soft skin, his roar spilling out around the mass in his jaws.

Bracing his body he ripped the other lion away from his beloved and tossed the stranger away with a powerful wrench of his whole upper body. His pink gaze was aflame, darkened with the undiluted rage that filled him, rage for the pain his beloved Maidin was in. Another dangerous, feral snarl left him as he stepped back, his large body straddling the pale, slender form of his mate, legs stiff and fur bristling along his spine, head lowered and gleaming fangs bared behind lifted lips.

He stayed there, standing guard over her, his deep furious rumbling roar barely faltering. No one was going to get past him and hurt her so long as he still breathed.

"Maidin tried to breath around the pain that seemed to settled some where near her chest, across her ribs. Shallow breaths worked better, but not by much. Something wet and sticky was running down her front legs, but they didn't hurt, not her legs..no it was the back of her neck, like she'd been shaken by her ruff by her brothers when they played, only much harder...

Then there was the growl, deep and angry sounding, murderous. It must have been the lion who hit her, he was waiting to finish his his kill. One beryl eye opened, the one not matted with blood, she would meet him bravely, like one of her House should. She may not be a fighter, she may not be much of anything, but she had pure blood in her veins, and she would not soil it by begging.

That eye met his solidly, noting who he was, and in a voice, far clearer then she thought she could have ever mustered she spoke " At least I shall die by a paw I know" and fainted dead away.

For a long time he stood over her, watching everyone around them. The lion who had attacked her had managed to pink himself up and limped away, having lost heart for th fight with a clearly defensive mate, apparently he was fine fighting a weaker female, but not a battle-hardened warrior.

Trathnóna snorted, lips finally covering his fangs as he straightened up, rolling his muscular shoulders in an effort to smooth the fur along his back that was still sticking up like quills, possessive, protective and pissed.

Only when the area had cleared out, leaving only the dead, dying and wounded behind, did he finally relax enough to step over Maidin and lower his muzzle to her. Carefully, gently, he sniffed her all over, licked at her cheek and puffed a soft, worried breath against her fur. When she didn't respond he folded his forelegs and sank down next to her, carefully licking the wounds along her flank and the side of her head. Worried now as much as he had bean earlier, though for a different reason, he waited till one of the healers got close enough then called them over, begging and pleading them to look at her and make her well again.

Not once did he move from her side, only shifting round where the healer grumbled about him being in the way. He stuck close, guarding her and watching the other lion with a near obsessive stare, too worried for her to move away and not at all trusting of the others still in the area.

The healers muttered about males being nus and better standing to the side while letting others work, but apparently all of their hints went unnoticed or ignored, so they gave up and just worked around the large lion, trying to piece the fragile lioness back together.

When done, they approached him, faces grim. what they had to say was not comforting. " She has lost much blood, he nearly ripped her neck out. Take her somewhere safe to rest, she may not wake for many days,"

He gave him a packet of herbs, and a salve. Salve for the wounds, herbs to drink. Good luck with it." She is one of you now, and we will see her no more."

With that the loyalist healers left their once princess in his paws.

With the battle over, Yofiel goes over to her new mate and grooms his fur lovingly. He might be a priest here, but he was HER male. She did not care that it was not official yet. So she was not even officially of the pride yet, she did not care. Etihad was hers and woe be to those that protested them being so openly close.

The only thing the battle had really done for Yofiel was convince her that she could not possibly leave Etihad no matter what. She was not letting him slip away and end up killed because of her being too proud to stay with him! She finishes grooming his face and nuzzles him lovingly. "Are you hurt, Etihad?" She would not be able to forgive herself if he was.

Her green eyes watched as the rebels left, her fur tainted with blood, and her white mane hanging over an eye. The Adolescent's tail flicked back and forth as she watched the retreat, seeming almost in place with the dead around her paws. After all, Mazai'mirties Makkusuweru was a daughter of Death herself. She was proud, and strong, growing up to be.....very calculating, tactical, military minded. Turning on her paws, bright green eyes glanced about for any familiar face, wanting to ensure the saftey of the few who could say the female gave two shits about them.

"I'm fine." Etihad smiled, grooming Yofiel with an air of sadness. The loss of his friends weighed on his mind, visibly.

Shinsei practically traipsed about, glad to be unhurt before looking to the Makkeseweru girl, almost prancing over.

"You OK?" She grinned.

Yofiel nuzzled Etihad and gave him an extra lick on the nose. "A pride at war is not a good thing to leave you in undefended." She purred at the male and looked around again. "I will definitely have to stay and make sure nobody harms my fluffy priest." She nosed his mane and then stood to pad around the mess for now. She needed to make sure that nobody messed with Etihad.

She did a full round of the gathering and the wounded, before going back to Etihad's side. It was quite interesting so far, and there were plenty of wounded around. She was sure that with the pride split, she was going to have a hard time raising cubs. She was going to do her damnedest with Etihad anyway.

Trathnóna stayed put, staying close to his beloved Maidin as the healers worked on her. Once they left, he kept the bag of herbs closed tight in his mouth, purple eyes fixed on her. What would they do now? She hated him, yet he could not forsake her... he had to get her away from here, get her somewhere safe to heal... but where would safety be found? His mind flashed back to that night, so long ago now, when he and Maidin had seen something that should not have seen, the night he confessed to her, helplessly, uselessly.. had failed to get her to understand and had feared doing so... But that night they had seen them... maybe now, with no other place to go, they would help him..

Worried he very gently eased her unconscious body onto his back and, with limping stride, carried her away from the battle field, away form the blood that stained everything around them. He would protect her.. he would save her.. and maybe, one day, she would forgive him..
