Christof wove a hand, brows rising and furrowing as he tried to swallow and swallow again until teh pain faded, but the cold seemed to radiate to his old knife-wound in his skull. Seeing her startled expression, he quickly tried to straighten up- as much as he could- to assure her he was fine and it was nothing and see he was enjoying it too just like her everything was fine! To illustrate this, he took another sip.
And almost hid his wince. He smiled anyway.

The two must've looked like a couple of idiots flailing and stammering about like they were set to implode. Pepin completely disregarded this while she rushed around looking for something that wouldn't be found to calm the ache. Though when Christof tried to assure her otherwise, she clasped her cup with both hands and gulped it down as if it were comforting to her. "I'm sorry... uh.. boil.. I would've thought you liked them." she apologized.
It hadn't occurred to her until now that she hadn't collected the boil's name. "But this is definitely a yummy drink, thank you for buying it...? Gosh, how am I supposed to know your name?" >:

Cheaks full of the cold liquid and eyes watering, the hunchback flinched in realization- introductions! Always polite, oh Hell's Bells- right, right, no notebook... He shifted his Styrofoam cup in his hands until he was able to scratch his name into the soft material simply enough: Christof. He was going to need to find a notebook at least. Holding the cup out for her to read, he gave a polite bow. He wasn't sure if she had stated her name before or not, she had said a lot of things, and a lot of parts of things sort of mixed up in a confusing jumble... just to be sure, he gingerly gestured to her.

Pepin watched as Christof meticulously etched his name into the smoothie cup and when it was handed over she leaned close to read it.
"Chris...t...of..." she muttered as the cup was turned. "Christof! Well thank you so much Christof, even with the brain freezes this was delicious!"
A moment passed until she realized she also needed to relay her name. "Oh and I'm Pepin. Pepin Molyneau~" she replied, giving him a pat on the side of his arm. "I'll probably get to attend some classes with you sometime, that'll be just spectacular."
As fast paced as she was, the ghoul kept in mind the boil's name and face as not to forget it later on. "And I'll also remember not to force you to drink cold smoothies again.. ^^;"

He smiled as though trying to force a laugh at the joke, but ultimately patted the drink before patting his stomach with an equally forced but attemptively honest, "Mmmmm!" He had never had a smoothie before, anyway. It was good to try new things. The rush of sugar to hit his system and he was left wobbling from foot to foot, at a complete loss as to what one did next once they had a ghoul in their clutches. Classes, classes, right! Er... walking, he supposed? Towards the door. Or... no, small talk. Small talk was next. Swallowing, he glanced around before snagging a pen from the cashier when their head was turned, scribbling out onto a napkin:
New Student, then?
Classes vary. Some difficult.
Did not like posture lessons
in etiquette class.
The last bit was an attempt at his own joke, corners of his mouth twitching up hopefully as he held the napkin out to her.

Pepin watched Christof etching something down on a napkin and curiously hovered around to see what he was writing. When he handed it over she quickly scanned it then pouted.
"Ew, etiquette class? Why in Halloween would anyone make an etiquette class? Isn't that just.. froo frooy or something?" Boggled as she was, the glitch ghost saw etiquette as an almost unnatural thing for creatures of Halloween to do outside the realm of demons.
"But yes I'm new its my first few weeks really. I'm trying to take every single class that fits in my schedule. Maybe you can give me some pointers sometime on who NOT to take?"

Christof gave a small thoughtful grunt in his throat as he considered how much spae he had to write on. Finally, he settled for scribbling:
Most classes hold some
sort of hazard. You get used to it.

Pepin was certainly eager to take a class that involved anything dangerous though she'd be hesitant to an awkward-by-her-standards teacher if they were in charge. "Jack bless you Christof, for trying to write out anything on this-" The ghost tore a corner of the napkin as if she were going to write something on it but instead let it flutter down to the ground.
Eventually she finished her smoothie loudly sucking at the tiny amount at the bottom and throwing the Styrofoam away.
"I'd hate to keep you here long I imagine you have important things to do at school and stuff right?"

He flushed, nodding as he took another (more tentative) sip of his drink before rustling in his pocket. Ah! One of the bottle-cap pins Calder had made for him! Thank goodness for the Kelpie... he offered it out to hand her, patting his chest proudly. Vote 4 Christof, was painted carefully on the make-shift pin.

"What's this?" Pepin asked and reached out for the pin as it was released. "Vote 4 Christof?"
Suddenly it hit. The student elections! There were booths at Florestival and the campaigns were JUST beginning! What a delight. "Alrighty-o!" Pepin saluted her patchwork friend. "It was really nice to meet you Christof, you're a pretty sweet boil. I really appreciated that~"
Just before she was ready to part ways the ghoul floated close and pecked Christof on the head then distorted her way back through the maul.
