Okay, to straighten a few things out (don't wanna seem cocky xd )

1. Sephiroth's attack is not called "Sin Harvest". Though a lot of websites call it that, Lance Bass is actually saying "Decend, Heartless Angel." If you listen carefully enough, you can hear that's what he's saying. Also the attack is an ANGEL, not Sin Harvest razz

2. To obtain the Ultima Keyblade, you need to unlock the Moogle Synthesis shop in Traverse Town, which is located above the shop that Cid runs. You need the Green Trinity to unlock this, which is obtained in Agrabah. After you Synthesize all of the items there is to get (it takes a long time to get all of the ingredients), the last item will be the Ultima Keyblade.

With that out of the way...

I've beaten Sephiroth literally dozens of times. I've used many different accounts (beaten the game 6 different times), beaten him on both Normal and Expert settings, and as low as level 49.

Honestly, there is no huge secret to being able to defeat him. He doesn't have any kind of weakness, etc. All you can do is get used to each "form" he has (his lifebar), and learn the strategies he uses. Being able to play against those strategies is huge.

Obviously the first bar is easy - jump in, hit 4 times, dodge roll in the direction you think he's going to appear, hit 4 times, dodge roll in the direction you think he's going to appear, etc etc etc.
The second bar is a little more difficult, but semi the same as the first.
He's still doing the same things as before in the first bar, but he runs around a bit. Also, when you hear him say "Come", don't try and just attack him. Instead, try and figure out where he's going to teleport to so he can use Heartless Angel. "Come" is what he says prior to the attack. Though if you just run right after him, he'll disappear and reappear on the other side of the arena.

I'd rather not get into the other bars, as I think it's best to just fight him from that point on by yourself. You'll feel soooo much better if you learn how to defeat him on your own smile

Don't listen to the strategy guide when they say "Recommended level of beating Sephiroth= at least 80."

That's ridiculous. You've gotta be way over that! Well, from my experiences anyways, lol.

I'm at level 90 but I can only get him down 2 bars.... I'm pathetic! ^.^' I don't retreat when I fight and just barrel straight into battle. (I don't stratigize either) so just use strike raid! Great attack! Keep whipping Ansem's (Xahanort's heartless)(<<

What I like to do against Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts I is: (highlight to view, incase you don't need an almost full strategy)
I'll usually durring the first part wait until he's away from me, super glide towards him, wait until he goes towards me, glide past him while he does that, then hit him with a 4-hit combo when he dashes back real quick. I also like to use super glide over movement in general with him. I usually use it over dodge roll, but if you haven't gotten to the part where you get super glide dodge roll will get you through. I find that it helps to equip Elixers in all spots, just incase of the Sin Harvest Moon thing or whatever, but if you hit him before he completes it you'll usually end up never using any of them. Durring the Meteor part I usually just glide around the outer edge of the ring and use High Jump to dodge when they come by. I used Ultima Weapon, but I've also found that it is possible to use Oblivion, at least on the second one, but I wouldn't advise it on the first Kingdom Hearts just because it lowers MP and I find that annoying when I need a Cure Spell (though I got rid of the Staff, so if you all chose it or didn't get rid of it you might have enough MP, though I wouldn't really know) and don't have enough MP I'd instead advise Oathkeeper, just because A. It's my favorite Keyblade, B. It's like the most balanced one in the game just about to the best I can tell (though in the second one it's the second best most balanced one, second to Bond of Flames, the one from Axel, it has 4 in Strength and Magic, Oathkeeper only had 3 in both) if you exclude the Ultima Weapon just because that one is almost always gonna be considered the best. Also, in general you'll usually do fine against Sephiroth if you can just dodge attacks and occasionally land a Combo, maybe 2. That usually works for me just fine. It should also work for any who have played Kingdom Hearts II and have beaten the Hades Paradox Cup, since that is like 5 times harder than Sephiroth in the second one, same Sephiroth I've found to be about one and a half times harder than the one in the first one.

I whoop him first time at Like Level 80 or so, and there's a video somewhere on YouTube of an Expert Mode person at level 71 doing it with no damage taken, so it is possible, and for killing him at level 80ish without spending hours perfecting your movements like the dude at level 71 probably did, the trick is to get the Ultima Weapon first.
