For a moment, Shun tensed as Mitsu wrapped her arm around him. He was at least aware though that this seemed to be helping her somehow so he didn't do anything of it and was able to get himself to slowly relax again.
"A tall reaper with a hat..." he repeated while thinking of who he knew that fit that description. Actually, there was one guy that came to mind in particular. He didn't seem to be the type to make girls cry but this just showed that people aren't always as they seemed.
With his expression growing dark, he made a mental note to come storming over to Mot's once he was through with Mitsu.
"Alright. I'll go deal with him. I will make sure Ziggy won't get hurt. This wasn't your fault, you got that? You weren't the one that hurt the pet," he said quietly, trying to control his anger that he felt. It wasn't Mitsu that he was angry with after all. For her, he felt a strong desire to make things better.
It was strange.

There was that flinch again and for a second Mitsu thought about pulling away. It was hard to remember at the moment that Shun didn't like the close contact. Just about to pull back Mitsu felt the reaper begin to relax. Usually...he never relaxed, he just stayed tense the whole time. This left Mitsu feeling a little confused but not as ready to let go. Instead she stayed where she was with her arms around his middle.
"Y..you'll deal with him?" Mitsu questioned moving her head so that she could peek up toward Shun's face. "I..I don't want you to have to get involved..." She didn't want Shun to face the reaper and potentially get in a fight.

As Mitsu looked up at him, Shun stared down back towards her. It felt really strange to be this close to her but now wasn't really the time to be trying to decipher his emotions. He'd deal with that later on.
"I don't have to get involved. But I'm going to anyway," he said lowly, "Even if Ziggy was involved there was no reason for him to make you cry. I can't let that slip by."
Narrowing his eyes for a moment, his tone became a little more firm.
"I'm not going to stand by if anyone torments you. You've had to deal with that enough."

Shun's words, they were very touching to hear. Tears began to fill Mitsu's eyes again but not because she was sad or upset, but because she was happy that Shun cared. It was an overwhelming feeling to know that someone was there looking out for her.
Huddling closer Mitsu hid her face back in Shun's shoulder. "Thank you, for looking out for me."

For a moment, Shun paused as he could have sworn he saw the tears forming again. Was it something he said?
"... Please don't cry..." he murmured, unsure what to do if she was going to cry more. It meant that what he said at first was pretty unaffective.
"It'll be alright.. I swear."

There was a short sniffle before Mitsu pulled away enough to wipe at her eyes with one of her hands. "I-I'm sorry." She mumbled. "I know I shouldn't cry. I really am happy to know you're there...looking out for me."
Pulling her hand away from its task Mitsu looked up toward Shun again her eyes looking glassy but at least the tears were gone. "I really do mean it...thank you."

Shun felt incredibly confused with that statement of hers. She was happy but she was crying? That didn't make a great deal of sense to him.
"If you're happy, then why do you cry?" he asked, furrowing his brow. He'd heard of something like this before but didn't think it actually happened. It just seemed so... contradictory to him.
Shaking his head to himself, he stared down at her.
"That's.. not something you should thank me for.."

Mitsu's brow furrowed a little looking up toward Shun as she tried to determine his confusion. "I uh..." How do you explain crying when happy? "I can't help it I guess.." Mitsu mumbled slightly. "It...is odd to think about...being so happy that I would cry but...that's really what it is."
Again she had to bring her hand up to wipe at her eyes before turning back to the reaper. "I feel like I should thank you. You make me feel....safe." Yes, safe was a good way to describe it. He made her feel like she had a safe place in a world she didn't always fit into. True she had friends now and many were close but Shun somehow always brought her comfort even if he didn't know it.

Well.. if she said so. It still didn't make much sense to him but she did seem to be doing much better now than she did before. Letting out a breath, he leaned back and nodded to her, taking on a hint of curiosity as she continued to speak.
"Well.. I guess I'm doing something right then," he said quietly, "I don't want you hurt so.. probably a good thing you don't feel in danger around me."
Again, he kind of took things a little wrong, but he wasn't too far off.

When Shun pulled back and away it broke the remaining contact they had. Mitsu was a little saddened that the hug had ended so soon but there was no helping it now. It had been so comforting to be close though secretly Mitsu wished he would have hugged her back. At least he had allowed her to hug him.
Head tilting a little, Mitsu's ears gave a slight twitch as she tried to process what Shun had said. It...sounded a little weird but it was close enough she supposed. "I never felt in danger around you." She assured.
Looking around shortly Mitsu then looked to her dirty clothes. She really needed to shower and change. The thought had crossed her mind a few times before but she hadn't mustered the energy to do anything about it at the time.

"That's.. good then," he nodded before glancing at her clothes when she did. She was still quite a mess. With a sort of grimace, he pushed himself up to his feet and held a hand out to help her up.
"Anyway.. I should let you clean up... I'll go deal with this reaper," he murmured. Glancing away for the moment, Shun tried to formulate what was going on through his head for what to say. It was a little hard when at the back of his mind, he was wanting to pummel Mot's face into the ground right about now. That will come in due time. For now he needed to make sure that Mitsu was going to be alright. Then he could go hunt down the guy to lay the smackdown.
"Just.. try not to worry ok?"

Mitsu sat for a moment longer as Shun got to his feet. When he offered a hand down to her she took it gingerly since her hands were scratched and stood up as well. "I ...I guess I will get cleaned up." She looked herself over again as she said this.
Looking back to Shun she nodded hesitantly. "I..I will try. B-but be careful okay?" She didn't want anyone to get hurt, she felt bad enough that the bird had been injured.
There was a moment of hesitation as Mitsu's gaze went to the floor nervously before turning back to Shun. "Will...." A pause, she was trying to determine if what she was going to ask would be okay. She liked having Shun here it made her feel better, but now that he was leaving a sense of anxiety was welling up. "...you come back later?"

Pulling Mitsu up to her feet, Shun looked her over briefly before nodding quietly to her request. Though, he didn't really plan on resolving things all too peacefully. Thinking that he was done here for now, he was about to turn and head out, but the girl caught his attention as she started to speak up.
His gaze softened for the moment at the question. The girl must still be feeling somewhat upset. At least, that was what his guess was.
"If you'd like me to.. I will," he said softly. It wouldn't hurt to check up on her later on anyway, to make sure she was doing alright after everything was said and done.

"I would...like that." Mitsu nodded to confirm. It made her feel better to know Shun would be coming back later. It lessened the anxiety of him leaving.
"W..what are you going to say anyway?" Mitsu asked curiously finally leaving the bathroom to follow behind Shun. She was still worried something was going to go wrong and someone would get hurt.

Blinking back at Mitsu as she asked about what he was going to say, Shun gave a shrug before moving towards the door out.
"Not entirely certain yet. I'll figure it out once I get there," he said plainly before pausing at the door, "I'll be back later on."
With that said, he walked on out. Now that he was out of the room, his expression darkened considerably as vengeance overtook his mind. He wasted no time to start making his way back to the Reaper dormitory.
There was going to be hell to pay.
