Mycroft had an overwhelming urge to sigh and shake his head, though he didn't give into either urge. Learning was a process, not instantaneous. Instead, his teaching persona emerged. Walking over, he drew a circle in the dirt for them all to see. "First, outline your arguments." He drew three lines next to the circle and indicated them. "This is your first point, and these," he indicated the lines, "are your arguments and evidence for them." He drew a second and third circle and three sets of lines. "This is your second and third ecetera. Once you have them lined out, you pronounce them. Firmly."
He gave the female a once over, now that he was closer and could read more of her body language, especially her facial expressions. Confirming his observations, he looked back at Jester. "Very firmly. Stuttering will come off as hesitation, and will be entirely unconvincing." Nodding, Mycroft went back to his spot and allowed Jester to try again. The fox needed to do this himself or he'd be walked all over the rest of his life.

Both listened closely, though Virtue seemed a tad more spacey, glancing about every once in awhile. After Mycroft spoke Jester turned to Virtue, sucking in his breath, and nodding.
"I don't think you're annoying." He explained, ears threatening to pull back. "I just dislike loud noises, and girls tend to make me uncomfortable since they always want to braid my hair and such." He stopped, almost turning back to look at Mycroft, but stopping himself.
'I don't like the way you throw yourself at me and scream I'm yours."
She frowned, ears back and tail wrapped around herself. "But why? You're pretty, I'm pretty, it'd be fun!" She wailed, flipping curls back over her shoulder.
"But I don't like girls like that." He commented back, biting back the stutters about to come forth. "I really rather you didn't follow me and tackle me and harass me..."

That was a much better try on the male's part. Hopefully the female would be logical enough to accept the arguments. Turning to the white female, Mycroft tried to analyze how she would react, but he had a feeling that he didn't know quite enough about her yet. She was definitely not like his mothers...but she didn't behave like Amaryllis either.
Sighing, he waited to see how she would behave. Mycroft knew positive reinforcement was good for learning new behaviors, but he didn't want to undermine the pink fox right when he was doing well. If the white fox left, he'd tell the pink fox he had done well.

He waited quietly, watching the vixen flip through hundreds of emotions on her face. He risked a glance to Mycroft, noting the male wasn't frowning, yet.
The girl pouted once more, though she nodded. "Oh..." She whimpered, ears down. She looked at him, touching her halo lightly. "Okay." She frowned at Mycroft, unsure why he wasn't sent away and she was. Tail whipping back and forth she got up. "Fine. I'll go." She mumbled, leaving into the bushes.
Jester sighed in relief, though wondered if he should apologize if he saw her again. Then again she might get the bad idea. Looking over at Mycroft he relaxed completely, tail wagging happily.
"Thank you~"

Mycroft, who had been watching the female leave with a puzzled frown turned back to Jester with surprise on his face. He wasn't used to being thanked. "Ah, you're welcome. That second try was much better than the first. Much firmer and no stuttering, both show that you mean what you say."
The blue male looked back to where the female had disappeared and frowned again. "Jester, can you tell me why her body language was so negative? She seemed to accept your logic...but her physical reaction was at odds to that acceptance." He turned back to the pink fox and tilted his head in question.

Looking up, the pink male shook his head lightly. "Well... she was probably hurt." He admitted, ears drawing back. "Sometimes....sometimes people know you are right but it hurts hearing the truth. She didn't want me to say that, it probably made her sad."
He looked at the other male, smiling sheepishly. "But I'm sure she's okay." He said, hopefully. "She seems like a bouncy girl."

Oh. Feelings again. Mycroft tilted his head and wondered if he would ever be 'hurt' by the truth. Frowning, he couldn't think of a time when that would happen. Emotional foxes confused him, letting their emotions overrule their logic. "I...see." He didn't really, but he thought he had enough of an idea.
"Well, if she will be okay then no harm done." Mycroft nodded. "You did very well, you know. I'm glad you actually took my advice. Many foxes do not."

His head tilted, body wiggling when the other mentioned he was glad. The pink fox wiggled closer, laid down, and smiled up at the male. "Why?" He asked, orange eyes locked onto the other, then flicking away to watch a bird fly past.
"I mean, you seem smart." He flicked his tail towards Mycroft. "But, then again I barely know you." Shrugging his shoulders back and wiggling himself into a more comfortable position, he toyed with his paws timidly. "And nice, I can't see why someone wouldn't listen to you."
