Caprice dug her paws into the snow, gaining traction with her claws as she crouched into a ready position. Strong muscles bunched in preparation and Caprice shot Rois a happy smile. She loved how the other female was always ready to run with her. "Okay! Ready....! Set...! Go!" Caprice announced, taking off towards the waterfall.

Caprice took off ahead of Rois and looked magnificent. Rois pushed against the snow but could see that Caprice was faster than her. Still Rois wasn’t disappointed. Rather she allowed herself to stretch out and enjoy the race. It felt so good to have someone to run with and feel good about not being a racer fox. Rois stopped, and skidded a bit as a result, as the waterfall came into sight. It was magnificent.

Caprice loved running. The winner didn't matter one iota, really, she simply wanted to run with Rois. And, of course, get to the amazing waterfall. Caprice put on the breaks, sliding a little in the snow, and ended up sitting with a huge grin on her face. The smile got wider when Rois skidded past her a little with a look of amazement on her face. She likes the waterfall! Caprice thought happily, wagging her tail and throwing snow to either side of her.
"Isn't it pretty? I found it on accident, but I thought you'd like it too." Caprice said, bouncing to her paws and coming abreast of her friend. "You do like it, don't you?"

Rois turned and looked at Caprice with wonder etched into every feature on her face. “YES! Of course I like it. It’s absolutely amazing Caprice. How did you find this place?” Standing up the white vixen wandered a bit to the side to look more at the waterfall from a few feet to her left. It seemed amazing no matter what way she looked at it. Her tail was wagging back and forth in sweeping motions and her ears were at attention flicking only ever so often when she felt the dampness from the waterfall. She rushed up to Caprice and rubbed her face against Caprice’s chest as she moved past Caprice to look at the waterfall from the other side of the dog fox. “Thank you so much for bringing me here.”

"Well, it was just after doing tribe chores. I decided to go for a run before going to sleep for the night and I picked this direction to run it. Just as i crested that hill we raced up, I saw this." She said, holding up a paw and waving it at the waterfall. "I sat here for half an hour watching the water fall and enjoying the beauty and thought of you."
Caprice smiled happily when Rois gave her a brief 'hug' as she passed to continue looking at the waterfall. "You're very welcome. There isn't anyone else I'd rather share this with. Would you like to get closer? There's a path down to the bottom and we still have plenty of time before the stars come out, so we wont miss our stargazing."

Caprice had seen such a beautiful thing and thought of her? Rois was both flattered and embarrassed. She could easily see how the dog fox could spend hours and hours sitting and staring at this wonder. Rois loved how the water flowed and flowed it made her excited and yet calm all at once.
Looking back at her companion Rois was in awe. “Can we really get closer?” That would be amazing! Staying close to Caprice, Rois waited for the dog fox to take the lead. Her tail was wagging eagerly behind her. What would the waterfall be like at the bottom she wondered. She hoped it would be as amazing as it was above.

Caprice nodded. "Of course. The path is a little slippery, so be careful, Rois." the dog-fox warned as she started down the path. The last time she had been here she had painstakingly removed most of the loose rocks so that the path was more secure to walk on. She couldn't, however, stop the water from making the rock slick as they neared the waterfall.
The closer they got the the bottom, the louder the roar of the water sounded. About halfway down, Caprice pointed to a thinner path. "That one goes behind the waterfall." She said, smiling back at Rois.

Nodding she followed the dog-fox down the path. Caprice was right the path was really slippery with all the water on everything, but being careful Rois didn’t think she was doing too bad. It was really hard to hear what Caprice had said. Still Caprice was smiling so that must be the path they were supposed to take next to get to the bottom of the waterfall. Grinning back at her Rois marveled over how Caprice looked with the water from the waterfall clinging to her fur. It was as though her fur was crusted with gleaning gems. The enchanting look the other vixen had was amazing. Feeling her heart skip a beat she felt a blush threaten to start up. Turning she started down the path carefully.

The dog-fox briefly worried that one or both of them may slip on the small path, but pushed the thought out of her mind. They weren't kits and they had both been through dangerous terrain with the gang. Picking her way carefully, Caprice led Rois to the edge of the waterfall where the path cut into the cliff face and created a small nook behind the falls. It was damp, but the roar of the rushing water was slightly muted. Enough to speak again, at least.
"Isn't this cool? The world looks so distant and distorted from this side of the falls." Caprice said, turning to Rois with a smile. The sled dog wagged her tail, sending crystalline drops of water flying through the air. "We're going to end up on the opposite bank too, since we're technically crossing the river like this."

Nodding Rois watched the world through the tumbling cascade of water it seemed almost like something out of a dream. This place was amazing. It were as though the rest of the world could fade away and this little secret spot would remain unchanged and untouched until the end of time itself.
Looking back to her companion she wanted so badly to curl up with Caprice and stay here for a while, just the two of them. Rois didn’t quite understand why she wanted to do that so badly, but she knew that it was a selfish thought no matter why she thought it. Smiling she leaned over and licked Caprice’s cheek. “Thank you so much. This is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.”

Caprice watched Rois more than she looked out through the waterfall. The sled fox had already explored the place quite a bit, and she was much more enthralled with how Rois was enjoying herself. The expressions on the other vixen's face were enchanting and Caprice felt that she could watch them all day.
The sled fox blushed a little when Rois turned and licked Caprice's cheek, but she walked up closer to the other vixen and leaned gently against her with a smile. "I'm glad you like it. I wanted to share this sight with you as soon as I found it. We still have some time before it gets dark, would you like to stay here for a little while?" Caprice asked, her tail wagging slowly.

Oh Caprice blushed again. Rois wondered if perhaps Caprice was embarrassed by all the affection Rois was giving her. Rois knew she was affectionate but didn’t want Caprice to be uncomfortable. Perhaps it the was phim half of her that made her want all the foxes around her to be happy. Rois wanted to bounce and say yes yes yes! to Caprice’s question. She wanted to stay with Caprice in this place and enjoy it with her dear friend. “I’d love that, as long as you don’t mind.” The purple tip of her hair got caught in her muzzle as she spoke. She was used to it so she didn’t bother to remove it.

“Of course I don’t mind. I get to spend more time with you here.” Caprice said, smiling brightly at the other vixen. And Rois looked enchanting with the crystal downpour of the waterfall behind her. Reaching out, she gently pushed Rois’ hair back with her paw so that it was out of her mouth again. Caprice really liked her friend, and she hoped Rois liked her back…and if Rois didn’t Caprice really hoped she wouldn’t ruin their friendship.
Following that line of thought, Caprice suddenly blurted, “I like you, Rois. Like, really, really like you.” Whoops…Caprice hadn’t meant to say it like that. She hadn’t even meant to say that now. Caprice was going to wait ‘til they were looking at the stars…but then her personality had gotten the best of her. Well…it wasn’t as romantic as she wanted, but the truth was the truth. Hopefully she hadn’t blown it.

Caprice was so wonderful! Rois was thrilled that she didn’t mind staying because Rois rarely ever got to see anything as amazing as this and coming to Caprice’s secret hiding place without her would have just seemed wrong. Her heart skipped a beat when Caprice moved Rois’s hair out of the way. Rois felt like she could trust Caprice with anything and everyone, well except for those selfish feelings she was having about staying around Caprice all the time.
Caprice’s statement caught Rois unguarded and she almost just responded back that she liked Caprice too. Sitting there with her mouth open she processed the rest of her thoughts. She liked Caprice too, and it sounded like it was a powerful like. She closed her mouth and thought. Was the cause of the selfish thoughts because she liked really liked Caprice too? She thought so and that brought a blush to her face. “I like you too Caprice. Really really like.”
