"Da," Dith nodded to Rosie, "seems I have things to do in the area, more than I've found in any of the other places I've been over the last few months. The apartment is not too far from the park, chosen mainly I confess for having high ceilings." Feeling forever cramped in somewhere intended to be his home for a good while did not sound like fun to him, he'd just about had his fill of it with various hotel rooms across the world. "I'm staying in the Pichu Palace Hotel at the moment," he went on, "cheap and cheerful, but it is clean and comfortable and breakfast is big and that's about all I ask!"
Turning then to Guy, Dith grinned. "Thanks, and I am sure it will not be a problem for much longer. They will get themselves sorted out, and in necessary I will go give them hard stares and mutter in Russian to encourage them to get themselves sorted out. Anyway! As you say, let's go!... Though I don't actually have any beach clothes. Mmfh, nevermind, it won't kill these clothes to get a bit sandy and wet." They were old faded jeans and an equally faded t-shirt in any case, both of which he was pretty sure would develop holes before too long. Why was it clothes always got the most comfortable just before they practically fell apart.
Teazer, who had never been to one, blinked and looked around at the other pokemon as she picked up on the human conversation, trying not show her ignorance.
Viktor responded, The Liepard looked a little confused... did she even know what a beach was? He didn't know anything about her life before she'd tried to steal Dima's sandwich yet, but she did appear to be young so maybe she'd never seen one.

It seemed they were getting ready to go, and Rosie was more then happy to head out with her friend for a day of fun! the blond trainer stepped over, reaching down to offer a hand to her Pikachu who gleefully hopped up onto her elbow, then clambered back up to her shoulder, nuzzling her cheek to Rosie's as the girl straightened up again.
she had been wondering something similar to Dith, more along the lines of having to run home to pick up hers stuff. But upon hearing that Dith didn't actually have anything to wear, blue eyes blinked, before lighting up. "Well, thats perfect, We should pick up some food to~ and other supplies, and I now a lot of great shops that are on the beach for tourists," She looked over at Guy as well, not sure if he had, or needed anything as well, not sure what all a Knight from the Grand Ile would come to Kodo with packed in his bag. "Just leave it to me~"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was as simple as that, Rosie had lead her two companions through the beach side, into a thinner aria of the city, but certainly just as beautiful... in a different way. It took a few tries to find a place that had something big enough for Dith, but with Rosie's help, they found the right place, and before to long they were all ready for the beach, with new suites, sandals, and a cooler full of snack and drinks. After debating on what kind of Doritos to buy, Dith's suggestion that both the ranch and the chilli cheese would be the best option... the other two then agreed.
"humm." Rosie hummed thoughtfully, glancing down to her hip, while both hands, holding an end each of sheer lightweight fabric, gleaming a pastel blue that she tied securely around her waist, making a skirt that hung over her new pink (what other color would she get) two piece bathing suit.
Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she looked over to the other two to see if they were ready. "We have sunscreen right?"
Guy and Anonymes followed Rosie through the heart of the city dutifully. Neither of them had much knowledge of the layout of the large burg, and so it was of great fortune that Rosie was familiar with the area. She seemed to have a vast knowledge of the shops and boutiques around the more oceanic side of Camphoreon, and so they all had to rely on her to lead the way toward their inevitable destination. They had made stops in several places and had procured a large cooler of various food and drink assortments, as well as new pieces of swimming attire for them all.
Guy's new outfit was in a surfer-type style two-piece, colored yellow and navy, with the top cutting off at the midriff and sleeves ending at the elbow, and the bottoms ending right before his knees. They were rather comfortable, and Guy was pleased that he had found suitable swimming attire here. He had a swim suit similar to his current one back home on the Grande Isle, but for whatever reason, when he left there in search of Luke, it did not cross his mind to bring a swim suit. Clearly a lack of judgement on his part.
The blond was not the only one with new digs. Anonymes had gotten spruced up for the beach as well with a small apple-green ribbon tied around his 'neck' right below his arms. The Ghost wore his new outfit proudly, often holding his head up higher to let the light reflect off of the ribbon in a way that most pleased him. Despite his new-found confidence, however, he still held tightly onto Guy's arm, not wanting to let his master go for anything. He blindly hoped that that circumstance would not have to change once they arrived at the beach. Anon didn't terribly enjoy water. Water was wet. He was a Fire-type. Fire didn't like water. Neither did he.
Guy blinked at Rosie's sudden inquiry. She had a very good point. He tried to recall back onto the past few minutes. "Ah..." They did pick up sunscreen... Didn't they? For the life of him, he could not remember. He readjusted his grip on the small plastic bag he held in his hand, within which lay his regular clothing. "I'm not too sure. I thought we did, but... I could be wrong." His shoulders shrugged. "If we didn't we could always go back and pick up some, right?"
Clothes shopping was always a horribly difficult experience, but apparently Rosie had some kind of magic touch because after a relatively short period of time he had discovered a pair of (nearly) knee-length swim shorts in a pleasant mid blue and a cheap white sleeveless t-shirt vest whatever thing. That along with a pair of flip-flops was, in his opinion, a huge success.
As Rosie spoke, Dith grinned broadly. "In Soviet Russia, sunscreen has you!" he said, reaching into his satchel and producing a large bottle of rather high factor stuff. "I burn like... a thing that burns easily," he explained with a shrug, "never got out on a sunny day without it."
<Now are we going to this beach thing?> Teazer demanded in bored tones. ages.> She wanted to see what this beach was all about, and in addition was feeling huffy because her trainer had prevented her from stealing the snacks. Stupid human.
Deciding that the dark-type's rude question didn't deserve a response Viktor merely rolled his eyes and shot a glance up at Dima, hoping to communicate his frustration with the proud Liepard.
Rosie has started to search one of the bags she had carried out when Dith spoke up, and showed that he indeed had some sunscreen with him, while making some silly joke appropriately tied in with his nationality. Rosie's eyebrows arched before she giggled softly at his attempt at a clever comparison.
Kiss Kiss simply blinked, not quite understanding what Dith meant, but softly smiled anyway, reaching up to tug lightly at the large rim of the small sunhat that Rosie had gotten for her electric mouse.
She added to Teazer kindly.
"Oh good." Rosie commented, "Then you come all prepared, and hopefully we won't get to red today." she added, picking up one of the bags and hugging it into her arms.
Guy chuckled quietly as Dith revealed that he had the sunscreen all along while making some strange joke about... Soviet Russia? What was that all about? Whatever it was, it seemed Rosie got the joke, which greatly confused the swordsman and made him feel... rather out of the loop. He knew that he shouldn't concern himself over such trivial things, but... still. If it was some kind of inside joke of a type, he should be let in on the joke, too! But anyway! Dith had sunscreen. That was all that really mattered.
Anonymes continued clinging to his master happily, but his eyes lowered slightly when the complaints of the new Liepard reached him. Why was she so rude? She didn't seem to like her human very much... But that shouldn't be! All Pokemon should like their humans at least a little! Just like Anon! Only he liked his master a lot! A lot, a lot! ["...You don't have to be so mean,"] he said quietly to the Liepard. ["And human things aren't stupid! Humans have a lot of stuff that are important to them. They're strong, but kind of fragile, 'cause they break real easy. That's why they got to have sunscreen and things like that."] Anon might not know a whole lot of things about a whole lot of things, but he knew that human things weren't stupid! That just wasn't so!
Guy could tell that his Lampent was slightly agitated, and he reached his free hand up to gently pat his Pokemon's head. Anonymes quickly calmed down, and that relieved Guy greatly. He'd hate for Anon to get too scared to enjoy himself at the beach. Speaking of which... Were they getting close to said beach yet? He took a cursory glance around the small group. Blinking, he looked back to Rosie. "Okay, so we have the sunscreen... But are we close to the beach now? It seems like we've been walking for quite a while."
"Indeed," Dith nodded and grinned, "Going the colour of Krabby is never a good thing... Uh... I have no idea. I'm still not all that familiar with this city." They had to be fairly close now, right? Frowning thoughtfully Dith peered around for anything that looked as though it might lead down to the beach. Rosie knew where she was going, he was sure of that, but he wanted to know for himself too; if he was going to live here for an indeterminate amount of time then he really ought to get to know his way around.
<...Prepared?> the Liepard snorted derisively. ...Icecream. For some reason her mind connected the beach with icecream, maybe it was something one of the pride had said when she was little. Anyway, wherever she'd heard it she hoped it was true and that she could get some.
Rosie was still smiling, but something did cross her smile, and she seemed to give and involuntary twice as her hand moved up to fiddle with the ends of her hair, and a shudder rippled through her body after Dith spoke,
It wasn't acknowledged though, as she seemed to just move on, and gave a confirming nod once she knew it was up to her to lead the others on to the beach! "Its this way, not to far~" She smiled at Kiss Kiss, before she stepped out into an elegant little twirls that lead her to the main walk way.
They could already see, and smell some of the beach that was washing along the coast, but it was a specific aria that Rosie was taking them. One that branched off from much of the busy street. where the tops of the city buildings showed, but other then that, it was just surrounded by cliff facings, sand and water.
There were other people already there, but this seemed to be something of a little known aria, because it wasn't nearly as crowded as the main arias were. Lack of parking might help with that as well.
"Here we are!" Rosie said, happily, and placing down the bags she was carrying, lifting a hand to her forehead to look out at the water. "Its really nice today."
Not long after Rosie set down her bags, she would suddenly find a familiar black Beldum floating around her, his eye shutters covering the entire bottom half of his eye in what was probably glee. It was really hard to tell what something felt if it didn't have a proper face like most pokemon. But if she couldn't tell, the pleased whirring and clicking noises he made were probably a good indication of his excitement. Miss Rosie! He hadn't seen her in ages, and she was so sweet and kind, especially to his mistress Seraphine!
Not long after Mordecai arrived, a white and lavender Zorua bounded over as well, jumping as high as he could to try and reach the floating Beldum but the latter was hovering mere inches above the dark-type's limits. Anastasia trotted over just as Jacques plopped his snowy behind on the sand, peering around at the group with his large, pale green eyes, almost as if trying to decide who would be the most fun to mess with. ...in all actuality, that was probably exactly what he was thinking.
"Rosie!" A familiar voice called, and suddenly Seraphine was there as well, clad in a soft pink bikini with fancy black trim. A thin sarong with a black and pink floral design was wrapped around her hips in a small attempt at modesty (miniscule attempt, if it could be considered one - in all likelihood it was probably more fashionable to have one than to go without, in her mind), and she pushed up an over-sized pair of sunglasses onto the top of her head - carefully, of course, she didn't want to mess up her hair - to see her friend better. "I didn't know you were coming to the beach today." And... with everybody else. Oh well.
And if anyone were to look for Isabella, they would see her nose and eyes peeking out from Sera's beach bag she'd discarded on her black towel not too far away. Isa might even have been considered hard to spot, if it weren't for her pale red horn that stuck up over her head.
Not very far from the slowly growing group sat a blond man in a reclining chair. He had on blue sunglasses, an opened orange and white flower patterned shirt along with some drawstring blue swim trunks. The young man had a bottle of water in one hand and his other arm was pillowing behind his head. A few feet from him splashing in the shallow tide pool was a Metagross that looked like it had tried to put on a home made yellow bikini and the material looked like it would tear off at any moment.
The sheer expanse of the beach Rosie had led them all to surprised Guy immensely. It was a beautiful spot, surrounded by high cliffs and bordered by a bright, shining ocean. It was, dare he say, the perfect spot for beach-going. He grinned as he beheld the large scene before him. "...Wow. This is an awesome spot, Rosie." He did not catch his personal mistake in not adding 'miss' before Rosie's name, but that thought did not cross his mind at the moment. He was too engrossed in his excitement.
Nearby, Guy heard the voice of someone he [as he was somewhat ashamed to admit] did not particularly like. He turned his head towards the direction which the voice came from and, lo and behold, there was Rosie's friend Seraphine, fancily dolled-up, as usual. Awesome. Just when Guy thought that he could finally relax... But, he shouldn't think like that! He should, at the very least, give her a chance to be kind. ...If that ever happened. For goodness's sake, she didn't even acknowledge him or Dith!
...Whatever. Even if she was here, it would not ruin Guy's day. He wouldn't let it.
Anonymes was perhaps just as excited to see the beach as his master was. He gazed at it with wide, golden eyes. Wow! Wow! The beach! It was the actual beach! How exciting! How large it was! It was so amazing! There was so much sand! And so much water! It was incredible beyond words! Anon was so amazed and entranced that he didn't even notice the appearance of Seraphine. Instead, his eyes drifted down to notice the second blond man sitting further down the beach. ...Who was that guy? Was he nice? Was he a good guy? Anon hoped so. He liked nice people.
"Da! Is very good indeed!" Dith grinned, raising a hand to shield his eyes from the sun as he scanned the expanse of sand. Not too many people, and remarkably clean. Maybe they had people come along and pick up rubbish, or maybe people around here were just a bit more respectful of the world around them....
Metagross in a bikini. Okaaaaaay.
Before he had a chance to point the oddity out to anyone that silly girl Seraphine sashayed over in a bikini that looked to him as though it was supposed to be looked at and not worn in the water, and a sarong that would barely have covered a small saucer. "Hello Seraphine," Dith said with a small smile, utterly ignoring her snub. "I hope you're well today?" He didn't especially expect a polite response but her rudeness was no reason to be unpleasant himself; she was, after all, only a child and children - especially spoiled ones - weren't always exactly the shining sweet darlings everyone seemed to want to pretend they were. Patience was called for, that was all.
Teazer chirped in an uncharacteristic moment of cheerful sincerity. Maybe humans did sometimes have good ideas, not that she'd admit that aloud... Hang on. the Liepard yowled to attract the attention of the weird big pokemon she'd just spotted. It looked stupid actually, but she wasn't stupid enough to outright say that to something that could splat her flat.
Viktor said mildly, briefly pleased by her good attitude. Naturally a moment later she had to go and ruin in. he went on sternly,
"I've always loved it down here." She said to Guy, in his response to the aria. "I didn't get to come as much as I would like, but its always been this beautiful."
First thing was first, they had some things to set up, so that anyone not going to play in the water could sit out here and be conferable in the shade. she knew she had some pokemon that would not like the water one bit. As Rosie was planning this though though, something floated over to her, surprised at first she jerked her head up, blue eyes blinking as they caught sight of a familiar Beldum. Rosie recognized this one immediately, "Its you~ Hello!" She greeted the pokemon, holding her hand out to it. This of course meant that the voice that followed calling her name and dawning her attention,could only belong to Seraphine.
Rosie, who seemed to not have a negative opinion about anyone, smiled brightly at the sight of her friend. though it faltered a little when Seraphine voiced surprise to see her. "Oh, my text must not have gotten to you then." She added, returning the smile on her face. "But this works out great, you were here anyway!"
Rosie stepped over the bag, and walked over to her other female friend, they were wearing similar fashion, though Rosie's was easily not top of the line, it was a quick perches to get her though the day, (Not to say it wasn't expensive Rosie did know the best beach-side places to shop) though where Seraphine had dark outlining on her outfit, Rosie had light, and wore with significantly more modesty, hers was definitely build to play and move,
"What a beautiful suit Sera! I haven't seen that line yet, is it Coldcreek?" Kiss Kiss, still on Rosie's shoulder piped up in agreement "Pika Pii"
"Yeah, Guy Dith and I decided that we should have a day off, and just enjoy ourselves for a while, who knows when we might get another chance right?" She held up a hand as she explained.
Rosie turned her attention to Dith as he greeted Seraphine as well. Taking this opportunity to go back into her bag, and release her pokemon from their Pokeballs.
Her team landed in the sand with exited cries and stretches, now exposed to the bright, beautiful sun. the fire types, Melody the Charmander, Pastin the Ponyta, and Shine, the newly evolved Flareon basked in the heating rays, not giving the water a second look.
The blond who was reclining in the chair took a drink of his water as he continued to enjoy the sun. It wasn't often that he came to the beach so he was practically ignoring everyone around him to keep relaxing in the peaceful 'silence'. Never mind the fact that his pokemon was splashing around in the wade pool trying to catch a Magicarp in a game of tag now.
Said Metagross was humming happily to 'her'self as she tried to catch er new slippery friend. The voice of the cat startled 'her' in the midst of a grab and the fish got away yet again only for it to disappear back out into the ocean. Aiden made a sad noise at the loss then turned to Teazer. 'She' said cheerfully with a wave of one of her big legs. This unfortunately sent a small wave of water towards the group though it stopped short of them.
Mordecai whirred and clicked excitedly, nudging her hand gently with his head. Miss Rosie was always so nice!
"Your text?" Sera frowned, completely ignoring Mordecai fawning over her friend. Instead she waved him towards her bag, and he immediately floated over to her towel with a series of happy clicks. He grabbed it, floated back, and hovered next to her with the straps held tightly (and carefully) in his claws. Isabella - still inside the bag - stared out at all of them with gold eyes as wide as dinner plates. Clearly she wasn't at all used to being carried in a floating bag. Seraphine huffed at Isa and pulled her out of the bag, setting her in the sand before rummaging through her over-sized bag to pull out an expensive-looking pink and black cell phone, which she quickly frowned at. "My phone is dumb sometimes and I don't always get all my texts. Father needs to get me a new one," she informed all of them - those who were listening, anyway, which was probably only one of them - before tossing it back into her bag. "Oh well, anyway -" her hands clapped together and her pale eyes lit up as she spun in a circle, "- it is! What do you think? It was just introduced in stores yesterday." Dith was right - her suit looked like the only water it had touched was from a washing machine, nor did it look like it'd be good for anything but lounging in and simply looking good, which Seraphine quite obviously thought she did. "Really, Rosie, we need to go shopping sometime!" Despite the fact her words could be misconstrued as an insult in her friend's choice of attire, her tone was pleasant and held no hint of cruelty. Nobody ever said Seraphine had good choice in words even when she was trying to be nice.
Dith distracted her momentarily, so she offered him a quick "yes, hello" which was more than anyone else - besides Rosie, of course - received. Instead, Rosie looked down at their piles of things that they had yet to do anything with. "You need to set up your towel still!" She looked rather surprised - but then again, they did just get there, so she couldn't be too surprised. "You can't just lay in the sand, it'd get all over you 'cuz of the lotion, and then you'd never get a tan." Seraphine clearly had her priorities in order. "Mordecai," she said suddenly, "bring my towel over and help set everything up."
The Beldum looked absolutely elated at this prospect - he got to help his mistress set up a second time, but he also got to help Miss Rosie and all her friends?! It was almost too much excitement for him to bear. With an excited, high-pitched whirr, he immediately floated over and grabbed Sera's towel and brought it over, systematically laying it flat by using his claws to tug at each of the corners. While he did this and Sera opened her mouth to speak, a different noise chirped in from behind her that startled her silent. "Por?"
Apparently Seraphine had forgotten about the extra pokemon. "Hm?" The spoiled girl turned to look down at her side where a pale spotted Vaporeon, bedecked in expensive looking jewelry, now stood regarding the group with a critical eye, then peered up at Seraphine expectantly. "Oh, no Jasmine," she said, shifting awkwardly a bit as if she had suddenly become uncomfortable at the presence of the Vaporeon who looked just as spoiled as she did, "we're not leaving yet."
There was a soft pop sound and suddenly, Guy was standing next to a second Guy. Except... the second Guy had a furry purple-tipped tail.
