I like it, but it should be fixed for spelling/punctuation/capitlization errors. I can help with those if need be. Other than that, the only problem I see is the weakness area. What is Earth allergic to again?
I think we need to address the element chart we put up... It's not very effective/logical. As far as I can see (logically)...
Fire > earth Earth > water Water > fire Air > fire
But what is Air weak against? Fire and air have a love/hate relationship, so I can see them being weak against each other...
I summon the leading expert on just about everything (at least he makes himself seem so).

Hurr hurr, Kyo knows all 'tings.
Anywho, I never really looked at our element chart before... I don't know why, it would be pretty useful information.
Anyway, you quoted Scythe already, so if there's any changes to be made we can do it! :3 Though I'm not sure if this is place.
Anyway, Fire is at quite the disadvantage with this chart... Fire beating Earth confuses me, unless it's the vegetation Earth, but I know we've got stone and what not here. Earth beating Water is another one, I mean, I can see why, but I also see the other way. Stone is too heavy for small amounts of water to shift, and it really only aids vegetation, though water erodes earth and with the proper distribution can shift larger sources of matter easy. Which I guess is a bit of a stretch, but yeah.
Water beating Fire is for obvious reasons so I won't really go much further than this there.
Air... Helps fire, depending on the size of either. A small flame can be snuffed out, but otherwise, all air will do is feed it and spread it. Besides, heat will make air infinitely more difficult to control. And you sure as hell won't get it close to them. High temperatures will burn out most of the air around the source and otherwise be easily redirected over and around the source.
Individually, I would do it closer to this, though it's obviously not my decision and I sincerely apologize if I'm being rude Scythe. I don't mean to step on your toes.
Anyway,
Fire should beat Air. Water should beat Fire. Earth should beat Water. Air should beat Earth.
Air should beat Earth because they can get airborne quickly and are usually quick fighters. If they're not, they'll probably get smashed...
In any case, it always comes down to how you use it! I've already got ways to take away everyone's advantages using the water....
I hope this helps somehow, and again, sorry if I'm being a b*****d Scythe.

...that's basically how our chart flows already. xD I was thinking vegetation-earth, though I'm not sure if having an earth affinity means just plants, or Avatar-style where you have control over actual stones/soil. Scythe, feel free to clear that up. As for Water & Earth, I was thinking along the lines of Pokemon... I guess. And again, more along the lines of vegetation-earth.
Air & fire are tricky. On the one hand, you can use air to suck out oxygen and thereby defeat fire, or you can use fire to beat the air in the way Ky pointed out.
Don't be so apologetic Ky, I was asking for your opinion and Scythe... well, I won't speak for him but you know him. I doubt he'll get rage-face for you inputting your ideas when I asked for them.

Haha... Talon, that is the set up we have right now, the one Ky said. You're not being rude, Ky. Of course it helps. This chart is just a general look for if mages are the same level and casting the same level of spells. Obviously, it may vary depending on skill and level of spell. Vegetation and fire makes sense for Aiden if he specializes in plants

*rage face at Tal for beating me in posting* If you think about it, all the elements are broad. Water could stretch all the way to blood, but let's not go there. Earth is pretty broad though. I imagined it including all of that. I figured people can choose to specialize in areas on their own once they realize it's so broad. Edit: This guy here likes powers. Look up.

HAH. Well then I guess this here topic's done, though you might want to elaborate on the affinities section in the background thread, Scythe.
Lyra, would you like me to clean up your profile before it gets posted? Just the punctuation/capitalization errors.
