I think he is a good guy in a rather bad position so that he seems like he is a bad shinagami. Kind of like Sephiroth in Final fantasy 7.

I think Izumis great for Meroko(especially at the end of manga volume 4)

If you read on in the manga he would sound a bit better. i feel really bad about how he became shinigami and how sweet it is that hes trying to help Meroko after beign a jerk. Hes a bit bad but still a great charrie. Hes one of my top 5 fav charries.
