"Well, if it IS frilled, it might be put to better use as a rag." He snickered, making it difficult to tell how serious he was about it. "Or I might give it back to you, since you like frills." Proving his point, he tweaked the bottom hem of her dress; sure it wasn't actual frills, but it was close enough! A frill was a frill was a frill, as far as he was concerned.
"Interesting! So you made these, eh?" He inspected the bottle again, looking more impressed with it than he had been previously. "Well, thanks." The bottle was dropped into the bag and he leaned over, doing one better than that peck on the cheek by giving her a light kiss on the lips. "I didn't buy or make you anything, so, sorry. But I do have an idea of what to do today." He was grinning. A grinning Mac was usually a Mac that was up to no good.

She blushed when he tweaked the hem of her dress, pouting at him before nodding, "I did! You're very welcome~" She beamed, glad that he seemed happy with her homemade gift before her blush deepened at the unexpected kiss on her lips - unexpected, but not unwelcomed... Although she found herself looking around, almost like she was afraid of being caught by some passerby for such a bold act in broad moonlight.
"Oh?" She blinked, raising an eyebrow before hesitantly taking his hand, blushing even more as she did so, gently rubbing her thumb against the back of his hand, "Where are we going today?"
... Oh wow, this is a date isn't it? A real date?
Mac might find her ghoulfriend spacing out a little as she returned his grin with a giggle and a smile.

Mac was still grinning, which should have really set off warning bells in the ghoul's head. He shifted his hand to link his fingers with hers, and after using his free hand to gesture for silence, lead Lizzy away from the home they were standing in front of. He was pretty quiet for the walk over, but at least he held her hand the entire way! Not that it was a far distance to go, in fact a block or two later and they were there!
It looked like a field with chain-link cages, and to make matters more confusing, there was a very distinct clang of metal hitting...something. The sign above them read 'Grim City Batting Cages', which was a pretty clear indicator that Mac did not care where he brought his ghoulfriend on dates. Nor did he imagine how this could not be a good idea.
"This is what I had in mind." He finally answered, gesturing to the batting cages and the machines that launched hissing, shrieking balls at the players.

It would have set off warning bells, but Lizzy was too busy being happy and generally feeling in a state of bliss at the fact that Mac was holding her hand. It's so rough... And warm... And and and... She sighed as she giggled at the gesture for silence, giving him a nod and putting a finger on her lips before letting her free hand go limp at her side.
When they finally came to a stop, she stared really hard at the scene in front of her, slowly tilting her head to a side; sure, she did not expect some really romantic spot (this was a lie) or some place colorful and fun (also a lie), but this... This...
"What is this place?" She asked, looking at the sign above them as her grip on Mac's hand tightened slightly.

"It's a batting cage." Mac said matter-of-factly. "I thought it'd be something different, yanno? We have all the time in the world to do the romantic stuff." Poor Lizzy, Poooor poor Lizzy. "Don't worry, I promise dinner after this just, come on, humor me?" He liked to think he humored her a lot since they started dating, she could at LEAST give him this, come on! The Reaper ushered her into the building, paying for a round of batting practice, and then headed to their assigned cage.
They faced a rather animated looking ball launched, who was shivering, shaking and steaming with RAGE! It was ready to launch the balls at them, it just needed the go ahead, apparently. It was unfortunately placed so never hit the player unless the player stepped too far forward, so missing the ball wasn't too much of an issue.
"Have you ever done this before?" Mac seemed thoroughly amused, tucking his gift and coat into a safe cubby, nice and out of the way.

"A what?" She blinked, looking rather lost as he made his little request; she didn't really mind the odd choice of dating location (okay, maybe just a teeny bit) since sending time with Mac was spending time with Mac... And he did sort of make sense, where 'doing romantic stuff' were concerned.
It didn't seem like Mac was giving her a choice anyway.
Nodding as she was ushered into the building and to one of the cages, she paused to observe what Mac was doing before doing the same - except, instead of a coat (since she did not bring one out), she placed her handbag into the cubby for safekeeping.
"No..." She admitted softly with a sheepish smile, her attention shifting to the angry looking machine in the cage, "Although I can... Sort of guess what this place is for?" There's not much one can imagine when the words 'batting' and 'balls' were placed side by side together, after all!

"Oh good. Here, I'll show you!" Mac was grinning from ear to ear again, clearly amused with the fact she was letting him get away with it. Was he testing his boundaries? Maybe, who knew. Maybe he really wanted to smash some balls! It was never clear with him when it came to things like this.
Picking up a Bat, he twisted the grip with his hands, giving himself a ready stance and even tipping his hat all badass like before tapping his foot on the trigger for the machine to launch a ball. The RAGE MACHINE was more than happy to launch a rather crude ball at them (indeed, it screamed obscenities the entire way), and Mac dug his toes into the ground, twisting his body to absolutely smash the ball back at the machine, leaving a nice, happy dent.
The machine hissed and raged and writhed where it was bolted, and Mac turned to observe Lizzy with a grin, holding the bat out to her. "See? Easy. Give it a shot?"
(( Game Mechanics -
1-9 - Miss, one being completely and nine being slight ding 10 - Slight ding, ball just hits the ground 11-20 - Hit, eleven being not far, sixteen being almost hit the machine and 20 being smaaaaash! ))

She just stared at Mac as he positioned himself - if this was some kind of a manga, sparkles (of the good kind) and black roses would no doubt be framing him.
... In her mind anyway.
Lizzy placed her hands over her ears at the swearing-ball, not appreciating the amount of profanities it was yelling. Everything happened so quickly that it took her a moment to process it; when she realized that Mac had successfully hit the ball, sending it flying back towards the angry machine and even denting it, both hands were threw into the air as she cheered, running towards the boil and throwing said arms around him, for the time being ignoring the bat he was holding out.
"Yes sir," She giggled after she felt like she had hugged him enough, taking the bat and frowning as she mimicked what Mac had been doing earlier; it was odd to do it in a dress, but not too bad. Once she felt she was ready, she stepped on the thingy on the ground that caused a ball (also full of swears) to fly towards her.
It took a lot for her to not flinch and actually keep her eye on the ball, and when it was near enough, she swung her bat, feeling it connecting with the ball and sending it flying back towards the direction it came from.
"Uh... How did I do...?" She turned around to look at the reaper.

"Whoa!" He gasped, wrapping his free arm around her waist to steady them both during her rather sudden hug. Why yes Lizzy, that had been an amazing hit! He was very proud of himself; to be completely honest, he was expecting to fail. Hard. "Hahaa yeeeah, beginners luck maybe, we'll see!" There, just in case she expected him to hit that well the entire time. When she finally went up to bat, he...honestly couldn't have been more proud of her. That was a decent hit, and in a dress no less!
"Wow, you're good at this." He cheered for her, both fists in the air, and he left a brief kiss to the top of her head while he commandeered the bat from her. His turn again! The button was hit, the ball launched --
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It shrieked the entire way, letting out a--
OUCHSONUVA
As it was hit, and as it sailed right back to the machine, it continued on with a;
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
"Eh, not bad" Just a little short of the machine, but at least it went pretty far, still!

"It's your first time too...?" She looked even more impressed now; beginner's luck or not, Mac was her boilfriend - it must be in the 'job description' of a ghoulfriend to be proud of her boilfriend!
She giggled at the kiss (effectively turning into mush inside) as she handed the bat over, murmuring a 'thank you' before moving to stand a short distance away to observe; as much as she liked seeing Mac in action, she did not want to be hit by the bat or any stray balls!
"That was... One noisy ball," She commented with a wince, "Good shot though!" It wasn't as impressive as the one before, but she was still impressed! Taking the bat from him, she then positioned herself before pushing the trigger; unfortunately, she swung too quickly. The ball hit the end of her bat with a loud, mocking laugh before dropping to the ground.
.... Sad face.

"Some of them are." Mac scrunched up his nose, not really liking the noise. It was hard to concentrate on smashing the thing when it was screaming at you! Luckily he had managed to do okay despite it all, and he sighed in the end, shrugging. At least he hadn't completely embarassed himself yet. He stepped back to let her try again, and this time she just barely missed.
"Aww, that was close! Here." He levied a hard kick to the ball, sending it flying back to the machine for even daring to laugh at his ghoul. Feeling rather good about the whole thing, he stepped up to bat.
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
Came the shriek of the ball, the mechanic pitch of the thing making him jump in surprise, causing him to miss the ball entirely. The screaming ball went sailing past him, hitting the back of the cage.
OOF!!!! ...Heeeeey...this isn't space...
It sounded incredibly depressed, and with a heavy SIIIIIIIIGH, it went offline. "Poor thing, I'll try harder next time." He promised.

"Awww! My hero~" She smiled happily as the ball was punted away, no longer laughing; if anything, she was rather amused by the different 'personalities' of the balls... It made the game much more interesting than if they were to just bat away.
"Pooooor thing, aww," She stared at the 'space' ball, pouting at how sad it sounded; it shall never make it to space... Wherever 'space' was for it anyway. Taking the bat from Mac, she tucked her bangs behind her ears all serious business like. The ball that was fired in her direction was surprisingly silent, which was a nice change from the noisy balls they had gotten so far.
That was, until it met with her bat.
Blasting off againnnnnnnn! Ahhhhhhhhh-
"... But..." She paused, frowning as she stared at the ball; it flew a short distance before landing on the ground, silent again. That was odd! She didn't even hit that hard! In fact, she barely hit it at all! Silly ball...

"Damn straight!" Mac laughed, shaking his head. His attention moved to the pathetic sounding ball as well, giving it another pitying look. "Yeah, poor thing. Maybe someone else'll send it to space." Apparently, that someone wasn't him this time around. He stepped aside for Lizzy to take her turn at bat, black eyes widening at the call of the ball that...didn't go so far.
"Huh. Maybe it was expecting to go further." He teased, ruffling her hair and snatching the bat for his next turn.
JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCKINNNNNNNN' HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Came the screech of the next ball, who yelled;
JINX MOTHAJACKAAAAAA
"WHAT THE JACK---" Mac hissed out as he missed the ball entirely, the 'jinx' apparently working quite well on him. "Unholy Sally I'm like, way off my game today!"

"I tried!" She protested, pouting at the ruffling of her hair as she quickly combed it back to position using her fingers. The yell from the ball made her jump in surprise, since she wasn't paying attention at all, and she couldn't help wincing when she realized what exactly it was yelling.
She tuned out the rest of its yelling.
"I still think you're great," She pouted, despite the fact that he hadn't done very well on his last batting attempt.

"I know you did, screechart." Mac leaned on the bat, using it like a walking stick. Aww, she thought he was great? How cute was that! Her compliment made him smile, and he abandoned the bat to close the distance between then, leaning in for a brief kiss.
"You're the only one." He informed her with a chuckle, leaning away and gesturing to the machine. "I think there's one left, want to give it the last shot, or...?" The Reaper trailed off, letting Lizzy make the next decision.
