Deep down, Mac was relieved that he didn't have to catch her. The way she reacted in general kind of made him feel guilty, but at the same time....fffff why should he care? He won, for Jack's sake! He had never lost so many times in his entire life until meeting Jericho, so actually being able to beat someone was amazing. Despite all the guilt, he was grinning like an idiot.
"Hey hey, it's no fun if you cheat!" Yes it was, he quite enjoyed cheating. Her comment was so backhanded he could practically feel the sting across his face, and even went to far as to stumble and hold his cheek. "Oooh OUCH! You b***h~" He chuckled, staggering to stand straight. "If you want to see me suck, you should watch me play against Jericho." Sigh, that stupid dragon. "That boil beats me to the ground." Scratching his jaw, he eyed her up and down for a moment, glanced back at the game that was still singing his praises, and smirked. "So I guess that means you should avoid playing him, eh?"

"What do you MEAN its no fun to cheat? Haven't you ever cheated?" Pepin appeared flabbergasted that he would even suggest such a thing was void of fun. "Cheating is li-"
You b***h.
Pepin was shut up instantaneously. She could dish but could she take her share back at her? Definitely not. Staggering some, she let the remark ease its way out like a bad cramp in your arm. It was devastating but she'd get over it. He didn't mean it anyway. "Oh yea who's Jericho?" she asked. "He can't be that good."
Mac's next remark triggered an unpleasant shriek from the digital ghost. "Oh no you di'nt. This? Means war! Your Jericho friend is gonna get his s**t handed to him on a nice SHINY a** PLATTER." And did she mean business! Pepin whirled backwards to the next machine over, a variant of Alley Fighter II but with a spin on the controls and characters. "But first, we duel. Again. You won't last three seconds in Table Flipping Tyrants Exclusive Retro Edition!"
Smirking, she sunk backwards into the large gaming station and as she reappeared out of it the lights began to flash and the machine turned on already filled with a bountiful amount of credits. "Alrighty Mac. You ready to dance?" she giggled now, completely geared to go again and more than likely be destroyed once more.

"..." The Reaper stared at her for a moment, and then put on the cheesiest, biggest show of an innocent eye flutter he had ever pulled out of thin air. "Me? Cheat? Never." Whoops, was his sarcasm showing? It was? Well Damn. He assumed her stagger to be as fake as his, and he shrugged. "A Red Dragon Boil, kind of dense but a good guy. Pretty sure he bribed the games though." As far as he was concerned this part was true.
"UNHOLYSH---" The shriek scared him, but he was quick to recover. War? He liked war. Enjoyed it, even. "I like the way you think, ghouly." He found himself side stepping to follow her, watching curiously as she disappeared and reappeared from the game itself. It...magically had credits? AWESOME! This ghoul was quickly becoming his favourite!
"...Bring it on." He sneered, moving to the controls to try and get a second victory on her.

"Sometimes that's whatcha gotta do-" Pepin shrugged. She didn't have to bribe the games but she often took them from people anyway. As the game started she grinned and decided she'd have to do just as she was notorious for and cheat.
And did she cheat alright. Pepin raised her knee beneath the table-top of the console and sent a jolt through the system to give her character a moments' invincibility in order to K.O. Mac.
"Oh no, look at that, you were doing so well!" ;o;

"..."
Mac stared at the screen. That was...What?!
"No-jackin-Way!" He gasped out, jaw slack. "How the--What did--Just--" How did he lose?! He was...he was doing perfectly! Did the game not register some of his attacks?! A rather suspicious stare was levelled on the ghost ghoul beside him; he had seen what she was capable of, it was very likely she had cheated this time. That...That...saucy wench! Yes, lets go with that.
"Whatever ghouly, I'm on to you." The suspicious tone in his voice was obvious, and he hit the button to continue the battle.
Sadly, he was WAY OFF his game, thanks to his little grudge.

At first Pepin was like

And then she simply shrugged. "Man that was terrible, how in the jacking hell did you manage that and I mean.. DAMN look at you NOW!" Perhaps some of her cheating had even worked its way into the next round where she was now head of the curve. A couple more taunts were in order but Pepin decided to keep her mouth shut as not to jinx herself. She couldn't get away with cheating again especially now that he was on to her.
"I'd like to see your Jericho friend play this. I think if we did a little tourney we could kick his a** eh? What do you say?" she smirked as the announcer shouted her win for the round and initiated the final match.

"I just...shut up, that's how." Mac snorted, looking way with another obviously childish huff. How dare he lose so badly! The game was rigged. Completely and utterly rigged! Then again, she had done some voodoo on it so perhaps it was still affected, but still...jackdamned game! With a chuckle he dropped the act and shrugged, leaning against the damn fickle, biased machine.
"I don't think we played this one last time, but jack, ghouly! That sounds awesome. I'd very much like to crush that b*****d!" His fingers came up, curling into a fist to mime said Dragon crushing. As the next round started, he sadly went into it pretty sure he was going to lose. In fact, the longer the game went on, the more he was convinced the game was forever rigged in ehr favour.
"JACKIN-A! What in Halloween is wrong with me today!" He grumbled, trying to keep it to himself but he was a bit uhh, louder.

Rigged couldn't be further from the truth. Pepin was generally modest when playing. Sometimes. Occasionally. Rarely. Although cheating or not she was really enjoying herself with Mac and would play with him again in a heartbeat even if he could confirm her cheating. He DID offer pretty good competition.
"Alright. Alright! You know what we'll do? We'll kick. His. a**," she sneered darkly and began to smash the buttons ferociously. It was still possible that he could defeat her, as he did in the last match of Alley Fighter.
Holding up was a challenge as Mac's character put the whoop down on Pepin, but in the end the glitch ghost declared victory. Not an honest victory but even then they were tied for overall scores. She could definitely live with that.
"Well damn Mac-" she panted grinning. "That was sure as hell fun." Pepin leaned against the machine now and let the credits roll before giving it a little kick and letting them skip to the end.

Pepin won, but this time it was very close; he didn't feel as cheated this time, which was a definite plus in his books.
"Alright, I can handle that tie." Mac decided after a moment's debate, tilting his head to stare down at her through suspiciously slit eyes. "I'm pretty sure you did some voodoo on the machine though, but whatever." Not like she overdid it, so he was cool with it. But the Jericho a** kicking? That he approved of, and he gave another wide grin and a nod. "That was fun, I look forward to working with you, to knock that dragon on his a**."
"I like you, ghouly. What's your name?" In the competition he completely forgot to ask; he'd given his but she never gave hers, and if they were going to be partners in bringing down Jericho, well, a name was probably important to have.

Pepin waited to reply, the end of the credits turning into the name entry screen and the glitch ghost reached her hand into the screen to add another space to fill in her entire name.
P-E-P-I-N
"The name's Pepin Molyneau, Mac-aroni," she grinned hands now on her hips. "And as my cohort in crime you and I will show that boil AND the school who's the king and queen of the arcade!"

Wait...there was only usually room for four---AUGH THAT GHOUL WITH HER CHEATING!
"Cheat." Mac corrected matter of factly, with a no-good grin. "I like the sound of that." His hand was put to better use, stroking his chin like a master villain. "Alright, Queen Pepin, how do we destroy him and take our throne?" Black eyes glanced over at the game console, and he shrugged. "I think I'd like one more shot at him mono-y-mono before we throw out all the stops." And by that, he was pretty sure he meant 'Pepin'.

"We can't just beat him in one run we have to drag the torture out- make him suffer and never want to play in the arcade again!" Pepin was looking a tad more maniacal than necessary but she really meant no harm by it.
"When we get him into our domain we will unleash the most vicious Alley Fighter II tourney he will ever be a part of. You just say the word and I'll be here. But if I can't be here and you wanna practice for free? Just do this-"
Pepin floated her way to the former game system and turned her head.
"DOWN DOWN RIGHT DOWN RIGHT DOWN RIGHT JUMP." She moved the joystick in the corresponding order and kicked it just as she pressed jump. The screen made a flicker and a chime, and the credits were instantaneously filled. "Heh I could rig all the systems if you want but... only as you beat me at them," she winked. "Now. Go get yourself prepared our day of reckoning is soon. Very soon. >8D"

...Down, Down, Right, Down, Right, Down, Right, Jump? While kicking the system?
That didn't sound to hard. D, D, R, D, R, D, R J and kick. Easy enough. Err...he hoped. "You know, I think this'll do for now...You wore me out, ghouly." Mac laughed, shaking his head. He knew her name was Pepin now, but he had gotten too used to calling her ghouly so, until he decided to use her name or she made him, that was the way it was going to be. "I'll unlock some other games later." He promised...or perhaps threatened? Who knew.
"Alright! I'll go prepare, Captain." He gave her a salute accompanied with a laugh. "I'll see ya later, Ghouly." He had her name, he was sure he could find her again...skelephone number, what was that? Another grin and he stuffed his hands into his pockets, turning to leave the arcade.
