He winced as he tried rolling out of the way, but one of the youma's hind legs had stepped forward and onto his leg. It didn't crush his shin or foot, but it was keeping him from scrambling back up to his feet. Valhalla lifted his arms again to try and protect his head for when the youma followed through with crushing him like a bug.
But the youma never came down as he had originally thought it would, and Valhalla sputtered and glanced up to watch as Kallichore wrapped the chain around its neck and pulled back, successfully keeping it from following through with attack. That didn't last long though, and Kallichore was soon thrown as he had been. Well, s**t.
Just when he thought he really wouldn't be getting out in one piece, he stared in amazement as Ganymede ran forward to whack at the monster, singing and all, and almost easily turning it into dust. Valhalla sputtered and coughed as the dust rained down around him, but took hold of Ganymede's hand when it was offered, climbing back to his feet and dusting himself off.
"No, you're right", he admitted, limping slightly as he followed Ganymede over to Kallichore, wanting to make sure she was okay, too. He paused to pick up his compass from the ground when he noticed the glimmer of old gold from the curb of the street. He brushed it off and sighed as he tucked it into his belt. "I'm sorry for giving you a hard time before," he said with sincerity in his voice. He knew he had a bit of a temper and Ganymede's fooling around was making him a little worked up, but in the end, it was the senshi of lust (really??) who saved their butts.
"Are you okay, Kallichore?" he asked, reaching a hand out in case she needed extra support once she got to her feet.

Most everything the two boys had said was a garbled mess in Kallichore's addled brain, though the signature of the youma being gone was a pretty good indicator of what happened. She just couldn't see too clearly who had given the youma a hand towards its final resting place. Whoever did it, well, she was quite grateful to them and wanted to tell them such. Too bad her thoughts didn't correlate into sound for a few moments. The super senshi managed to sit up before being offered a hand, which appeared either as a blurred mess or way to big to be on a person. People didn't have hands that big, right? And they had heads too, last time she looked. One, two.. four arms... that's not right.
"...hand looks waaaaaaay huge." she lulled, but took both of them anyway and tried to stand herself up with their help. Perhaps she leaned a little heavily one way or the other, but eventually she was able to stand up and not wobble too much. Locking her knees seemed to help with that. Never before had she been thrown quite that hard and not been able to get back up on her own. She was shaking her head, trying to rid her vision of those pesky stars. Ganymede's head looked like a spotlight just then, which, in a way, made a little sense.
Rubbing her eyes with the backs of her hands, Kallichore blinked a few times before things starting coming into focus. "Ah... that's much better. You two actually look like people now." She would continued to blink and rub her eyes throughout the conversation to try and steady herself and her vision. She'd probably have to sleep the rest of it off and hope she was without a concussion. "Gany dealt the final blow? Really?" Kallichore's voice was filled with genuine curiosity. After all, she could hardly see not three feet in front of her while the youma was dying to someone's hand. Valhalla's clearer statements were the context she was given. She chuckled then in a jovial way before turning to the senshi of lust.
"Ah, look at you! Don't need those lasers after all." She could've given Ganymede an uncharacteristic thumbs up, but instead she reeled backwards and into Valhalla for a moment. "Whoops! Sorry about that..." She probably needed five Advil and two days' worth of sleep after this.

"Don't act so surprised," Ganymede stared at Kallichore levelly as both he and Valhalla helped her up, before his expression changed into one of his typical unimpressed looks. "I can fight youma easy. It's the people I don't like fighting, 'cause, you know, killing them is sorta murder. Not exactly my thing, to be honest."
He made sure she was standing well enough on her own before letting go of her hand -- he wasn't all that in to hand holding with people he didn't absolutely adore -- watching her stumble back into Val as he stood quite steady himself. Now that the battle was over, however, his head was beginning to feel more fuzzy, or at least he was beginning to notice it more, and he suddenly realized how absolutely stupid it was for him to come out here like this. That didn't mean he appreciated Val's hypocritical lecture, or even that he was going to admit to his mistake, because it had made fighting much more tolerable, and for once he'd even been able to have fun with it.
"Why don't you help her home, Val?" he suggested. "Somehow I don't think she'll be making it very easily on her own. I'd offer to help, too, but I should probably not be wandering around anymore than I already have."
And it would give him the chance to get back to Chris's place before him, and situate himself on the couch in front of the television with his bottles of imported cider as if nothing had happened.
He did smile broadly then, and grabbed Val by the back of the head while the page was busy supporting the other super senshi, so that he could lean up to press a quick but firm kiss to Val's mouth. "For all your hard work," he said. "Never think that you're unappreciated. Useless you might be when it comes to magic, but a little muscle never hurt. Where would I be without you?" he asked, perhaps a bit over-dramatically, as he released the page and stepped back again.
"And you," he continued, shifting his gaze to Kallichore. "You keep your hands to yourself with him. He's dating someone." He paused to consider the utter hypocrisy of the statement he'd just uttered, given that he'd just kissed Val when neither of them knew that he was really Chris's girlfriend, whom Chris didn't realize was a boy.
He was so screwed...
"And," he continued again, after pushing such thoughts from his mind to dwell upon later, "I've decided, after much internal struggle, I assure you, that you and I need to talk again at some point. Not now. Clearly neither of us are in any mental state to have any sort of discussion, but... eventually."
That said, he didn't want to give Kallichore the chance to marvel over his suddenly agreeable behavior and began taking a few steps back, figuring he might as well take his leave. "Don't miss me too badly!" he called to the other two as he drew a bit further away from them.

Valhalla frowned in concern at Kallichore when she struggled to get up and claimed to not see straight. That wasn't good. He was just about to ask her if she was okay when she stumbled into him. "Careful," he said gently, not wanting her to get even more hurt than she was, taking hold of her shoulders to keep her steady. He nodded to Ganymede when he suggested taking the other senshi home. Yeah, he could do that. They knew each other's civilian identities already so it shouldn't be too big a deal, right...? He would just have to make sure he got back home before his girlfriend started to worry and ended up calling the cops to look for him or something. Although, she knew he was Valhalla, so hopefully she wouldn't worry too much.
Too worried he was about his girlfriend that he didn't even notice Ganymede move up to him, becoming alerted to his closeness once the senshi pulled him down for the kiss. His eyes widened in surprise and he was left standing confused and speechless as Ganymede pulled away. Valhalla stared after him, his expression somewhat like a fish with the way his mouth opened and closed, as if he was trying to say something and changing his mind at the last moment. W-what the hell had that been??
He frowned, still confused as Ganymede moved away from them, before shaking his head at Kallichore's direction, still holding onto her shoulder. "Let's get you home, okay?" he offered, although glancing back over his shoulder to where the other super senshi had gone off to. Why was it that people had the urge to kiss him when he was with Kallichore? Maybe she was making them mad for him? Hur hur...

After a few moments, her footing became more stable. That is, just in time for Ganymede to plant a big ol' wet one on Valhalla, who responded in a few flustered sputters. Perplexed, the super senshi simply blinked at Ganymede insisted that they talk again at some point, when both were in their right minds, and flounced away. Before he left though, he gave Kallichore a stark warning - no funny business. Val was dating someone! The super senshi of madness was quite confused because, frankly, she didn't 'have the hots' for the page and wouldn't even dream of doing something untoward. Ganymede didn't give her any time to protest before he left, so she simply stood there with one finger in the air as an objection.
"Huh." she said finally, blinking and finally staring in the lust senshi's general direction. So what had he sat or ate or even slept on that made him so much less irritating? Whatever it was, Kallichore sincerely hoped her fellow Jovian would continue. She rather liked the new Ganymede, to a degree. Lowering her arm, she leaned a bit on Valhalla for added stability. "Guess something got into him like the concrete got into me. But... it's for the best, don't you think?" The gray haired senshi turned to her page companion and smiled. She then pointed in the direction of her house. Or thereabouts.
Her first few steps were unsteady and she shook her head vigorously to try and rid herself of the dizziness. Once that was done and over with, her pace was a bit more even. "You know, I often wonder if Ganymede is more insane than I am. If I'm insane at all. Heh, maybe he should have been the senshi of madness instead!" The rest of the walk continued like that, pondering aloud things that came to mind, the most important of which was Ganymede's sudden change of heart.
