Chaonis dropped from the youma as it burst into an impressive cloud of dust, its remains swirling around him as he landed lightly on his feet. He looked at her as the dust vanished, arms folded over his chest.
"Don't like being called useless, huh?"
He could understand that, in his way. He did everything in his power to avoid responsibility. To avoid being embarrassed when he failed in something. To avoid people looking at him, expecting something of him, and letting them down. He hated to be called useless, yes, but only if he had actually been trying. If he could say that he hadn't, then failing was less miserable. Because it was expected.
And in that sense, he never failed to meet someone's expectations. Because they were so low.
But things were changing. With each day he passed as a senshi, he became more aware of the duties he needed to perform. There were newbies all the time, awakening without a clue. Oldbies, too, without any real fight experience. People didn't know how to throw a punch, and even if they did there were other things they didn't think about.
He was finding that it was his job, in a way, to teach them. Even if that meant pissing them off and pushing them past their limits in the process.
"If you don't want to be useless, then stick with me," he said sternly, watching her with a keen expression. "And I can make sure you're anything but. Train with me, and you'll never be useless again."

Sailor Draconis jumped a little as she realized what she had been doing. It was so unrefined, so unladylike that she couldn't help but blush a bit. How embarrassing to be so ... barbaric in front of another person. Going into a blind rage like that? It wasn't becoming at all.
Something about the way Chaonis was carrying himself made her a tad suspicious of his next sentences. Like he was goading her. Well Draconis wasn't about to fall for that one. She wouldn't give into his taunts. Not yet at least.
Then he started offering her things. It was almost like Darth Vader was asking her to join the dark side, but with a more masculine tone. Now wait just a second.
"Are you hitting on me playboy?" she said, with duplicitous crossed arms and a cocked eyebrow. Draconis was not amused. Normally there would have been a hint of playfulness in her voice- she loved romance and flirting of all shapes and forms, but not with this creep. Well at least he seemed to be fulfilling the role his nickname prescribed.
Draconis couldn't deny that the allure of not being useless was pretty damn tempting. She didn't like being such a weak, newbie senshi. Perhaps Chaonis could kick the inefficiencies out of her? She definitely wouldn't submit to asking him for help though. There was no way he would get her to beg for help like a total and complete wimp. She would be stubborn until the end, that was one thing you could count on.

Chaonis stared at her, then his grin returned. It never really went anywhere, just lurking under the surface, even when things were at their most serious. Maybe because he didn't take too many things that seriously. Whatever the case, even when the expression wasn't on his face, that sense of arrogant confidence, cocky superiority, and self aware awesomeness was always in his eyes.
It didn't take much to bring it to the surface.
"Hitting on you? I'm trying to keep you from getting yourself killed, rookie. You are a good fighter, but you have a lot to learn. I've already learned it. Why waste time with figuring it out yourself if I can teach it to you? Unless you're scared of me. I can understand if it's just too intimidating for you. I have that effect on a lot of ladies."
He gave her a coy look that was nowhere near the innocent face he had been aiming to make. At least they had some things in common, like being stubborn. Even if she wasn't begging him, he wouldn't drop the matter until she agreed.

Draconis' thoughts basically followed this pattern:
ASDFKJAKDJFKJEKJAKJDKFJKEJALJFLKFAJA.
Here he was taunting her into being taught. Taunting her into submitting. Taunting her into being useless. Which option was she supposed to take? Option one was submit and actually learn something nifty and go against her morals completely. Option two was deny and keep her dignity while losing valuable information
Which humiliation should I take?
Choice? Neither.
Perhaps somewhat stupidly, she huffed, "We've beat the youma thing okay? I'm going home." You could tell how upset she was by how short her diction was, and how all of the bitchiness of a teenage girl seemed to come out in those two sentences.
With that, Draconis began to watch towards the door with her arms crossed and her heels clicking against the cold concrete. Hesitating, she discretely added, "If I need your help I will call you." That was all she was going to say on the matter apparently.

Her decision was good enough for Chaonis.
Really, he was aiming for her to remember him, and for her to realize that they could do something awesome if they trained. If she wanted to be stronger, she would call him. And if she got more into fighting, as all senshi did whether they wanted to or not, she would realize she wanted to be stronger.
That, or she would get in over her head and need rescuing.
Either way, he hoped, in his way, for her to call him. As those were calls he would always reply to. A jerk though he was, he would not let a fellow senshi die if there was something he could do about it. If they didn't deserve it, and especially if they had met him. He couldn't call every senshi he knew his friend, but they were all his allies.
He would be there for them. Once again, whether they liked it or not.
"Alright," he said, waiting for her to be heading out the door before he called, "you didn't do a bad job tonight. You've got something."
