To her response, he mustered only a tired chuckle, and shifted his tail. Although truly- he was being a bit hypocritical himself. Age was fleeting him, but if he lived anything as his father had, he had some many years left in the woods. But he did certainly feel the aging, and time had worn down his edges. "Her name is Cassidy," He spoke, arching his ears forward and turning his face. "Her mother, Jenna, was a good friend of mine." Phib supposed this had been explained already, but he liked to put a face to the people he implied. The brown and gold female was still running about, and even in her childish ways, he reminded him of Jenna. "Her mother took over the pack when I left."
She had always been a strong woman, Jenna. If not self destructive- had they not been so much of the same in personality, it would have been interesting to see if they had not ever been more then friends. But of all the female acquaintances he had had in the old days, she was one of the few that had remained plutonic. Even though Jenna herself had about as much appetite for men as he did for women- of most of her litters, Cassidy's included, the father was always in some question. Jaden was devoted to her though, despite her otherwise wild imperfections.
Finally exhausted, Cassidy made another running flop, and collapsed in a heap in the snow drifts. Her body relaxed and a slight snort sent out a plume of snow, and she remained still for the time.
"A lot of energy." Phib remarked. "Makes me tired watching." The black male continued with another yawn, and settled his head on his paws.
