"I have a twin sister," he said with a shrug of his shoulders, he saw no reason to hide the fact or to pretend -after all, if Vanity was not strong enough to survive an attack from another then she deserved the cold hand of death that would follow.... although Jayden had to admit over the years he had come to expect her to be too stubborn to die. He rolled his eyes thinking of all the trouble she had once lead them into.
Focusing on Terra again he copied her lopsided smile, " As for stallions...." he shrugged once more, "....you can't live with us, can't reproduce without us." He stated it matter of factly as he watched her. Her stance was less aggressive now, though part of had to admit he rather liked her with flared nostrils and stretched out wings. Deadly and dangerous.
Not having met another batwalker before he asked curiously; "What did you used to be?" Jayden and his twin had been Kalona's, cursed on the same day.... the day when adolence was suppose to change into adulthood. They had gone hunting together.... and woke up changed. The details were hazy, and even those of his life before the curse seemed to be starting to fade. He could only remember small things that he had once been proud of.... such as, he had once been very good at black magic, but that had disappeared with the change.... and he could remember the colour of his mothers hair, midnight. Small and unimprotant things now.

Terra was pulling more and more information from this encounter than Jayden might realize. Finally the sensation of being unique and alone in a world that she couldn't fathom ... there was now an island of refuge. How intriguing that it came in the form of twin batwalkers. Although Terra was adamant on her revenge for later - it'd be interesting to meet others like her. Although the idea probably wasn't a sound one.
"You might be right in the fact that we need stallions - but the dagger falls both ways. You need us mares just as much." Terra gave a smirk at Jayden as she said this. The mare let her wings fold in tighter to her body as she contemplated question that was asked of her. If there was one thing that Terra didn't like to think about - it was her past. The only good thing from recollecting any memories of her time with the Blood Moon Carnival served as a reminder just how much she wanted to extract her revenge on everyone there. There was a marked pause as she tried to recall life before the carnival. Nothing came to mind so she settled for lying.
"The memories are vague. Well. Truth is ... I can't remember," Terra's voice took on that of cold steel, "besides - I don't think it's much of your business to know. What do you think I look like?"

Jayden let out a growled chuckle, only a short burst and low and soft in sound as she mentioned that stallions needed mares too.... he supposed it was more true than he wanted to admit, after all, without them they couldn't produce anything.... and if a mare wasn't fertile at the time it made the task of reproducing even more impossible. It seemed biology was against males in that respect. "True." He finally said, a statement ending the conversation in his mind.
Then Jayden found himself surprised for the first time in their meeting.... she had told the truth, but more than that.... she had asked for his opinion. He raised an eyebrow at her, pausing for a while to simply take her in. He had the impression that there was likely only one correct answer to her question, and he would be damned if he knew what it was... of course that wouldn't stop him from answering.
Jayden made a slow circle around her, taking in her pelt but trying to look below it. He knew that his Kalona wings didn't seem to exsist now, his flesh literally fused with the pelt so that he could use the batwings as an extension of his own. He supposed it was a far trade off, the bat allowed him to changed forms, to harness the power of two breeds.... even if it did mean the loss of his black magic.
Once he stood before her once more he paused and simply looked into her eyes. "I think you look like a predator.... and that is all that matters. Lethal, dangerous and with a sexy figure to boot." He smiled, the motion flashing his fanged teeth as he moved his tail from side to side in a very feline way. "It matters not what you where... just what you plan to do now." In truth he could not tell what she had once more, if she had been winged the evidence was now hidden as well as his own.... the only hint to his own heritage came from his kalona-esque tail and horns that remained behind, he had seen changed unicorns with a similar features of their own breed.

As Jayden circled her Terra couldn't help but feel a little tense. It was true that she had asked for his opinion. One couldn't just tell what someone else was by standing still. They had to observe ... look deeper than just the surface. As the one being scrutinized though Terra found she did not enjoy the sensation. As Jayden finished his circular route around her she promptly let her frustration show. Uncurling her wings from her side she gouged at the earth with the clawed tips before hearing what Jayden was saying.
Another individual who couldn't help her then. Terra was still left with a mystery on her hands then. Frustration welled in her mind. When Jayden spoke about her being lethal and sexy Terra snapped. Her left wing came up and the claw flashed dangerous. She was furious all of a sudden. Where this rage came from the mare didn't know ... but she found that she liked the sensation. Her words came out in a low growl, almost inaudible, as she spat them at the stallion. "I look like a predator do I? Let's just see how much of your advice I take to heart. You say it doesn't matter what I was ... but somewhere inside ... something calls for blood. Maybe yours?"
It was clear that Terra's good mood had evaporated. A fang in the corner of her mouth appeared as she sneered at Jayden. "Can you handle me?"

Jayden's grin grew as he snapped his own wings wide as a sign of agression, he was through playing 'nice' and perhaps this was just the kind of confrontation he needed... after all, he and his sister fought all the time but they were twins and knew each others moves as well as their own, this would be the first batwalker who he would not be able to predict so easily. That made it... interesting... and Jayden liked interesting.
He growled low, his eyes narrowing with dark intent as a plan started to form in his mind. It was not in his nature to play fair, and why would it be? Those who played fair only ended up the loser... and Jayden had no intention of such an outcome befalling him.
With a quick step, a dodge to the left he was gone. Kicked off from his back legs and a quick flap of his wings was enough to lift him off the ground, the trees made it hard to navigate but since he was aiming for above them he didn't care as he made his ascent up to the sky once more. The gold jewelery he had collected early that morning jingled and jangle in his ear, and for once he found he did not care if he lost or misplaced them.... no, he was far too focused on Terra and what was about to come.
In the air he turned, moving to face the ground as he snapped his wings close and wrapped them around himself in a flash movement... it was something he had done as a foal, still in kalona form, and the bat wings were just as familar as they wrapped around his body. He bombed towards the ground planning to only slow himself when it became absolutly necessary.
Attack Roll: 1- Jayden misses and ends up landing close to Terra, slamming his hooves into the ground as he growls low with aggression. His glares at her as he speaks, "I am sure I can handle you... little bat" (Miss) 2- Jayden manages to strike Terra and the attack forces her to the ground. "Yes." He hissed, feeling no need to express more. (Minor to Moderate damage)

Terra's answering growl was barely heard as Jayden took to the air in what the mare assumed would be an attack. She'd threatened him bodily harm and she wasn't going to back down. Listening intently the mare could hear the whistle of the air passage from Jayden's jewelry as he dived toward her. At the last minute Terra stepped to the side and smirked as the stallion slammed into the ground. He had landed on his hooves but the impact would have given his legs a little bit of a jolt. So she was a little bat was she. Her red eyes took in the other batwalker. Nothing would save him now.
Using this to her advantage Terra remembered just wanted had occurred in her fight with Samsara. The other mare had managed to get a hold of her wing joint and Terra believed that she could try this move on Jayden. With a screech Terra turned to face Jayden's wings. With her mouth ready to clamp down on what ever it came into contact with she lunged forward with wings flared open:
Attack Roll ----- 1 - Terra manages to only graze Jayden's side with her mouth but has too much force behind her blow ... knocking her off balance. (Minor damage ... but open to retaliatory strike) 2 - Terra manages her objective and latches onto the base of Jayden's left wing and clamps her teeth down on it. (Moderate damage) 3 - Terra's attempt fails as a gust of wind catches her open wings and slows her momentum down before she even can even get a single strike in. "Damn." (Miss)

Jayden growled with menace and venom as Terra attempted to attack him, it wasn't that he was not expecting it... rather the opposite in fact, he would have been insulted had she not, no, the issue was that she had failed.... he hated weakness, even from those things he considered unique.... and if he couldn't use it or do as he pleased then he wasn't interested for long.
Without pausing to thought he decided to use her slowed momentum against her, flapping his wings back once to push him steps away before he lunged forward, Kalona horns at the ready for a ramming attack. His yellow eyes glowed with evil intent as they stayed steady upon his victum.
Attack roll: 1- Jayden misses and is forced to dig his hooves in open the wings on one side with a mighty whoosh in an effort to turn quickly to face Terra once more. (Miss) 2- Jayden's attack hits and his horns make direct contact with Terra's left side, he moves his head like a bull in the hope of grabbing hold of her wing and yanking it. (Minor-Moderate damage)

Terra felt like a huge weight had crashed into her side. Admittedly this is what had indeed happened as Jayden's impact caused her to lose her ability to think briefly before she realized that the stallion was trying to catch her wings like she had done to his. Twin rivulets of blood stained her flank where Jayden's horn tips had managed to pierce her skin. Now she was enraged. Another of her kind had made her bleed. Terra's gaze narrowed on Jayden's bowed head against her side as he sought one of her wings.
Stretching out her wings, Terra lifted them to their full extent as she tried to keep them from the stallion's questing teeth. One good hold and her delicate but deadly appendages would be tarnished ... ruined. Terra thought quickly of her options while she played keep away. With Jayden in such close proximity it opened a lot of possibilities for different attacks. Snarling as the scent of her spilled blood hit her nose Terra gave a defiant scream of rage as she gathered herself for an attack.
Attack Roll ------- 1. Terra decides to bring her wings down to bring the claws on the tips into play. She scores several strikes to Jayden's facial area. (Minor Damage) 2. With Jayden distracted Terra manages to clamp down on the back of the stallion's moving neck. "Submit or feel my wrath!" (Minor-Moderate damage) 3. Terra's winded more than she'd like to admit and tries to regain her bearing before attacking again. However she nimbly steps out of Jayden's attack range. (No hit)

Jayden hissed and stopped his seeking quest for a brief moment as pain rippled through the back of his neck.... yet her words only angered him more. 'Submit or feel her wrath? He would rather die!
In his mind this was no longer about simply exploring the moves of another batwalker... it was about dominance, and Jayden was not one to submit.... which left only one other option... attack until his dying breath.
Attack roll: 1- Jayden goes to move his head up to dislodge Terra and headbutt her with his horns in one swift movement but finds the grip too strong forcing him to miss... this only pisses him off more and a growl so menacing rumbles within him. (Miss) 2- Jayden manages to pull free, tearing the flesh at the back of his neck as he headbutts Terra from this position, his horns catch her sensative underneck area leaving tracks of cuts and blood. (Moderate damage) 3- Jayden pulls backwards with a great force, tearing his own flesh as he stands and stares at Terra. He says one word, "Never!" (No attack) 4- Jayden pulls free and charges Terra, due to the close distance it is more his brute force that manages to push her backwards and in repayment he digs in his teeth to whatever flesh is before him. (Minor-Moderate damage)

Terra licked the drops of blood that remained on her teeth from Jayden's hasty pullback technique. She didn't have time to savor the unique flavor though as suddenly she found herself on the defensive again. The stallion's charge - weak as it was - wasn't enough to do any damage to her body but the brute physicality that Jayden possessed soon overwhelmed her smaller frame.
The fact that she was a mare and he a stallion was greatly emphasized. She dug her hooves in to try and stop her backwards momentum. At the same time a lancing pain in her right wing erupted and threw her other senses to the wind. Somehow during the brief move Jayden had managed to get a hold of her wing and had sunk his teeth into the delicate membrane that separated the hollow bones that made up the wing structure. Terra loosed a series of screeches both in pain and in defense before snarling. She couldn't risk having the membrane tear. What could she do in this situation?
With a most evil look at Jayden she batted away at the stallion with her free wing as she tried to score the stallion's eyes with the clawed end. It was all she could think of doing without surrendering the battle.

The desperation of Terra's move was not lost on Jayden, but there was something all too satisfying about having hold of her wing. He hadn't really known at first what he was aiming for... flesh... anything... blood.... as long as it brought the foolish mare before him pain Jayden didn't care how. Yet even with his satisifation flying high within him he couldn't help but flinch every now and then....
Terra's move of desperation, her wing attacking anything it could reach around his face, was starting to annoy him; especially as her wing claw got closer and closer to his eyes. Self-presevation kicked in as he snarled and pulled back. He needed his sight... and planned to simply attack from a different angle.
Standing back from her he growled again, the same rumble that sounded similar to an earthquake erupted from his chest. To say he was angry was an understatement, he could feel the trickle of blood through his pelt on his nose and cheeks, small and shallow cuts that did little more than sting but it was the fact that she had drawn MORE blood that angered Jayden so. His neck stung, the torn flesh protesting with his movements but he was too stubborn to slow down even for the pain.... he would have died long ago if he caved so lightly.
For a moment he simply stood staring at her, glowing eyes focused on her neck.... he wanted to destroy her!

Foolish foolish foolish. That was the only thought that ran through Terra's mind. Jayden had released her wing to back away from her. The small scrapes that she'd inflicted shone brightly with the crimson liquid illuminating the wounds. A sense of pride welled up within the mare as she inspected her work. She'd wounded him and dealt a blow to his ego. What else could she do to undermine his lofty status?
Her gaze traveled to his ravaged neck before she smirked at him. An opportunity arose as she eyed the marks. "You might not like to hear this ... but it looks as if I've left my mark on your neck. At least for a while. How will you go about explaining this?"
There. She'd said it. A small snort of amusement passed her lips before it turned into a grimace. Her wing still throbbed from where Jayden's teeth had gripped it painfully. It probably wasn't the wisest to antagonize the stallion further ... but she'd made her choice.

Jayden growled, the noise low and menacing as she taunted him. He saw her words for what they were but it didn't lessen the effect they had upon him.
"You may have left a mark..." He snarled at her, "But I shall leave one on you in return." And with that he snapped his wings wide in a show of dominace, violent intent and anger. He would not give her the satisifaction of knowing that he would be marred by her forever whil she was unmarked... no... that was simply not an option in his mind.
Attack roll: 1- Jayden moved quickly, attempting to rip Terra limb from limb, but in his haste he over calculates the mark and ends up having to skid to a halt as he forced himself to turn, leaving great cavens of grooves in the ground where he hooves had skidded to a half and turn. (Miss) 2- Jayden strikes quickly, bounding forward Terra and grabbing hold of the side of her neck with his teeth, his wings held out wide to keep them from her reach. (Moderate damage) 3- Jayden slashes out with his tail in anger, but misses. (Miss) 4- Jayden slashes out with his tail, using it as a deadly sword and weapon and he brings it down over her rump and rear leg. He hisses in anger, an almost serpent sound. (Minor damage)

Terra snarled as Jayden's teeth ripped into the flesh of her neck. Instantly little rivulets of blood began seeping from the lacerated skin. As she tried to extradite herself from the situation her gaze narrowed in extreme rage. So now he had marked her too ... had he? The mare felt the pain pulsate in tandem with the wound from her wing. Jayden was a dead beast. That was the thought bouncing around in her mind. She didn't have extra resources to call on like a tail or horns and even though her one wing was damaged Terra brought both of them to bear down on Jayden. In such close quarters he would either have to release her or take the brunt of the hits that she dished out.
"You are a fool." She hissed out as she began her attack.
Attack Roll --- 1. Terra's wing claws slash repeatedly along Jayden's neck creating more damage to the torn flesh. (Minor damage) 2. Terra's will to fight starts to fade as she tries to break Jayden's hold. She delivers a head butt hoping it'll cause him to let go. (Minor damage to both) 3. Even though it will cause more damage to her neck Terra lowers her head and bites down on Jayden's right foreleg. (Moderate damage to both)

Jayden was now in a stubborn blood rage, and due to that he REFUSED to let go, even as her heavy clawed wings slammed onto his head and shoulder, he grunted but purposefully bit down harder in an effort to cause her to yelp in pain or to become distracted.... though right now he wasn't sure he could feel anything.
Adrenaline was coursing through his body like a mighty magic that couldn't be defeated, he felt power and strong with no pain radiating from wounds that would surely have him bedridden when the juice finally faded his system.
Yet even Jayden's determination wavered as she headbutted him, the move sending his eyesight into see stars, and the red of his bloodlust started to fade slightly. His head was spinning slightly and he ripped his jaw back in an effort to regain control, it was possible the move ripped larger gashed into Terra's neck but Jayden had lost all sence of care for her well being.
He hissed and growled, before eyeing up his handy work. A smile lifted his lips into a cresent snarl as he changed his view to her eyes. "Now we are even!"
