Ah, another student who looked for safety within their room! "I tend to stay in mine a lot too." Riyo admitted, feeling her mood lightening. This was the first time she'd had a chance to talk about her frustrations with somebody else. It felt...
It felt nice..
"Hey, I never thought of doing that." Yes, headphones. What a fantastic idea. "I like the way you think." Riyo admitted, tapping her finger to her chin in thought. "I could block his number, but he seems like the kind of boil to borrow someone else's phone and continue where he left off." Damn that Deacon. Why were all the cat boils such a pain?
When Tahki mentioned someone barging into her room, Riyo's ears perked and eyes widened. "Oh my Jack. I couldn't deal with that." The thought of somebody just busting into her room while she was relaxing made her sick. "You could always install a few locks if you want your privacy back." She certainly had... And a few more after she realized Deacon was her neighbor.

Tahki felt her self relax quite a bit too. It was refreshing to meet some one who wasn't as crazy about being social as she was.
"That guy sounds like maybe he likes you or something. " At least it sounded that way to Tahki. And according to a lot of her romance novels too. Maybe Riyo had an admirer on her hands which in it self could also be quite annoying Tahki supposed. The gryphon had an admirer once but hadn't picked up on any of the clues he'd given her.
"Oh thats not a bad idea," The gryphon nodded at the lock idea. Though part of her wondered if that would work on Charlie. Probably not. He was so random.
"So.. umm .. what are you studying anyway?" Tahki pointed to Riyos book.

Like? Like... Liked her? Riyo's face contorted into that of disgust at the mere thought. "Augh. He's so repulsive the thought makes my stomach churn." Even though he was a bakeneko just like her... With somewhat handsome features. Wait, what? NO.
"He's a jerk, treats his minipet badly..." Though the only proof she had of that was the poor condition of the hazcat's fur and the fact that he had fleas. "Walked into me the first time I met him and called me a c**t, And, and!" Woah, time to settle down. Letting out a long, exasperated sigh, the feline looked down at her book. "I don't date anyways. It's a waste of time, in my opinion..." Her mother had always said people only get into relationships because they're not strong enough to carry themselves, and that they'd only end up weaker when the person left their life. Oh, but not her. Not her mother. She'd been 'too strong' to let that happen to her.
Right...
"Oh, uh." Grabbing the book off the table, she closed it and showed Tahki the cover. "Introduction to hex spells." Her matter-of-fact tone seemed a little troubled. "My mother... Was able to cast them..." Now, for once, the feline sounded uncertain. A memory flashed through her mind. One that she hadn't really wanted to recall. "I never had a reason to study up on them until now.."
In an effort to steer the conversation away from hex spells, Riyo's eyes glanced over at the gryphon's books. "What about you?"

It was all the gryphon could do but to bite her tongue, hard, to keep from smiling at Riyos reaction. She may had bitten a little to hard though as she winced a little and even tasted a little faint familiar metallic taste of her own blood welling up in her mouth. Still Tahki couldn't help but be interested in Riyos description of this trouble making demon. He didn't sound like some one Tahki personally would really ever want to hang with.
"Hes mean to his mini pets?" Tahki gasped automatically thinking of her own minipets back at her dorm. Most minipets Tahki knew were well behaved creatures who only wished to please their masters. How any creature in halloween town could be mean to one made Tahkis head hurt just trying to fathom the how.
"T-thats terrible... " Still this demon sounded like quite a character. Tahki felt a little bad for Riyo having to deal with it.
"O-oh so your a demon not a monster?" Oh crap had that been out loud? "Oh.. ohh.. s-sorry its the animal features. I suppose Im used to demons having horns. I - I mean.. I'm a monster and I for the most part monsters don't quite grasp magic like a demon.." Oh yeah, wait monsters sometimes could be magic users too. This girl could still very well be a monster of some sort. Tahki eyed her cat ears and gulped hoping she didn't offend.
"Im reading up on sex ed..." She pushed the book blushing a bit as she did. "Pumpkin patches scare me.."

Riyo appeared slightly surprised that the gryphon had confused her for a monster. That had never actually happened before... But since the feline worked specifically with demons, it wasn't surprising that the confusion hadn't happened before. She couldn't hide away in her building as usual. "Yes, I'm a demon." Riyo clarified with a slow nod. "It's fine, though. I can see where there would be some confusion." Not that she didn't fit most of the demonic stereotypes. Rich upper class, well-dressed, bitchy, noodle armed... Horns were about the only thing she didn't have. "Unlike some, I have no qualms with different races." Nope. She hated them all equally.
Only after she finished speaking on the subject did the feline realize she could have easily picked a fight over the misconception. Tahki, however, was not the kind she wanted to argue with. Like Mitsu, there was no fun in picking a fight with somebody who would easily bend. Besides that, the ghoul wasn't a pain to talk to if you ignored her change in tone.
"S-sex ed?" Riyo asked, ears perking at those words. Oh Jack. She hadn't even thought about the possibility of going through such a class. Much like Tahki, the cat demon's own cheeks gained a small tint of red as she stared down at the book. "H-how bad was the class?" At least, Riyo assumed the gryphon had taken the class. Why study it if you didn't have to, right?

Tahki was relieved she hadn't offended Riyo. It showed in the way her facial features relaxed. Well, as much as one could when they were still on the subject of sex ed.
"Y-yeah. Sex ed.. The first class we had to take care of pumpkins with an assigned partner and that was... umm... " Tahki thought back to the time she had spent with the quote on quote baby pumpkin and shivered, " I didn't enjoy it at least." Tahki had been to worried the thing would eat her face off thanks to Riley.
"But the second class we just learned.. It wouldn't have been so bad but the teacher ate, then through up one of the students."

Oh Jack, what a nightmare. Having to partner up with somebody to take care of a fake child. Riyo was about to ask Tahki another question when the last part of what happened in the second class processed.
"... Ate... One of the students?" The fact that such a thing could happen made Riyo's eyes widen. That must've been... Some experience. Especially if you were said student. "... What did they do to deserve that?" It would be good to know in case future endeavors lead her to that class. "Also... Who did you end up paired with?" The topic itself wasn't something that interested Riyo, but stories of what had happened in said class did.

"Y-yeah. Bul ate one of the teachers beloved bugs I believe. " Tahki thought back to the insident and cringed a little. She could understand the teachers reaction though. They were her pets.
"M-make sure you don't harm any of Nurse Crickets bugs if you happen to get her class... She's very serious about them..." Again Tahki slightly understood the reaction the teacher had but at the same time the gryphon considered Bul to be her friend. It upset her a little to think back at that.
"O-oh. Lizzy was my partner. Do you know her? Shes a pink haired spider demon and really friendly... But uhh... Riley helped me too even though she didn't have that class... This was a long time ago..." Tahki still felt a little bad about being a little skittish around hers and Lizzies pumpkin. A little bad. Yeah.

Riyo didn't know who this Bul was, but that's what he got for eating bugs. Ugh. "Why anyone eats bugs in the first place is beyond me." Though she would have to remember the advice from Tahki. Don't bother the bugs. Got it.
Leaning back a little, Riyo's eyebrow raised at mention of a pink haired demon. That did sound familiar. Where did she... Ah!
"Oh, yeah. I met her briefly at the Floresctival." And by briefly, the feline meant she had taken the ghoul's water to wash the hot, relentless wasabi out of her mouth. Oh Jack, that had been bad...
"Ugh.. Floresctival." Hell, the whole experience had been bad. "I don't go out to many public events... Or out in public very much. Floresctival reminded me of why." Subconsciously, the feline's hand went to her head. "Did you attend that?" Strange to be asking the questions for once. Usually people bombarded her with things she didn't want to answer. Which made her wonder...
"You can tell me to shut up if I'm bothering you. I usually don't talk this much." Maybe this was just a build-up of sitting quietly with no one to talk to for so long. Or rather... No one she wanted to talk to.

Tahki laughed a bit. She also wasn't sure how anyone could eat bugs. Her, herself, she preferred fish and meats, but mostly fish. The feline and avian in her mostly agreed on fish. Mmmm fish. Speaking of fish...
"The .. The Festival? " Tahki had dropped by for a short time, "Y-yeah. I was there for a bit. Not to long.. I got locked in to a class and then kind of slipped back to my dorm.." Her ears lowered remembering how disappointed she was to be tricked into a class. It had ruined the festival all and all for her.
"I stopped by a few booths but not long. AND WHAT!?" Tahki covered her mouth . That had been to loud.
"N-nonononononnooono. Your fine.. Did I .. Am I giving off some sort of. Oh gosh... Am I being rude?" Tahki flailed. Books went every where.

When Tahki yelled, Riyo jumped... And managed to fall out of her seat. She hadn't expected the timid girl to scream like that. "FFFF-" She started, flailing around on the floor for a moment before she managed to pick herself up. When she re-emerged from behind her side of the table, her eyes were wide and her hat missing.
"No! Please calm down!" She said firmly to the ghoul, dropping her own voice shortly after. "Augh." And there went all the gryphon's books.
"No.. I just... Sometimes I get tired of people asking me a lot of questions, so I wanted to make sure..." The feline explained in a quieter tone. "I've never really done this much two-sided interaction. Most of the time it's somebody talking my ear off while I try to ignore them." Until she blew up, that is.
Picking her hat up off the floor, she sighed. "You didn't miss much as far as the festival went. Just a bunch of people making idiots of themselves." Including her, though she wouldn't admit it.

"O-oh? R-really? " Tahki was surprised by this. Riyo seemed , at least to her, pretty well socialized. Though to Tahki, most people did. She was no judge on character at all. Tahki was a little naive.
"To be honest... I usually don't talk this much, " She laughed .. and even snorted. The snort made her face go red and she looked down at her feet. Still she had a bit of a smile. "Its uh.. Refreshing but I understand. .. with the losing temper part.."
Tahki made a face at her description of the festival. "Ohh wow. " She frowned, "Yeah I think it probably was for the best then. But I am a little sad I missed some of it for a class. It lasted hours..." Tahkis phone started to beep right then. The gryphon quickly fumbled for it and finally found it. It was a reminder alarm. OH CRAP. She needed to go pick up her laundry!
"Ahhhh... Umm... I actually need to get going and pick up some laundry before it mildews.." Though some students in this school probably didn't mind mildewy clothing, Tahki did. The gryphon was on the floor gathering her books as fast as she could. Why had she picked up so many!?

Riyo nodded slowly to the ghoul, who appeared to be in disbelief. Sure, the feline knew how to talk and carry herself, but it was only because of the business side of her life. Always mandatory. Never... Leisurely like this. Moreover... Being friendly was an entirely different problem. Not that she'd admit it was a problem.
The snort had almost cracked a smile on the feline's face. Almost. Still, there was a feeling of satisfaction. Riyo had managed to interact with somebody, and the only negative effect was a short-lived mild irritation. Yes. She was downright proud of herself.
"Oh, what-" Riyo had attempted to continue their conversation, but stopped when she heard the beep. Ears perking, the cat demon searched for the source, only to find that it was the gryphon's phone.
Oh...
Standing up, Riyo slowly made her way over to Tahki's side of the table. "Go on. I'll put those books back." Wait what? The words seemed to slip out before she could stop them. Quick, cover it up.
"But I expect something from you in the future." Yes. That always worked. She was no charity case, after all. Everything had to be repaid.

Tahki was surprised the demon cat wanted to help her. Very surprised. She didn't mind that Riyo expected some thing of her later. Tahki felt she owed her something for the trouble.
"T-thank you so much... Uhhh... This is my number if you need me for something," The gryphon quickly wrote her number down on a piece of paper and handed it to the demon. She then, messily, and in a hurry gathered the stuff that belonged to her and was out the door.
Hopefully Riyo didn't think she was rude. She was sure she'd bump in to the demon at some point again. A favor was a favor and Tahki wasn't about to not pay up.
