Winter smiled at him. "The stars are pretty. That is something we both can agree on." She looked up at the sky with a smile on her face. "I would really like you to come back to see me and such. The only thing is I would have to bring my kit with me. I couldn't leave her all alone with everyone else. They would not take care of her!" There was no way she would leave the little orange angelic behind.

His head tilted to one side, "You have a kit as well?" it wasn't a judging tone, more a curious one as to how she came to have a kit, "I'm sure you can find a place for the two of you, and I can assist you in raising her if you would like." Remembers taking care of his siblings fondly, "My younger siblings were quite the handful, and I was a kit as well but I still took care of them fairly well." He wanted to be sure that she knew he'd be willing to assist her with it.
"Of course if you'd rather I butt out on that level, I completely understand, shouldn't get too personal with someone you hardly know, right?" He felt a bit foolish, he really was fond of her as an individual, since she seemed so troubled he wanted badly to help her, but he was sure that in the end she'd get bored of him, and find someone else to help her, it was a slightly sad thought, but he could live with it, "Where are you going to stay tonight?" The question hung in the air when he asked it, and he blushed a bit, figuring he was once again far too forward in his questioning of her.

Winter turned a lovely shade of red. "Ohh she is not really mine. She has been at the house longer then me. There seems to be something wrong with her. She never grows! So instead of her just sitting there all day I've been taking the time to take care of her." She continued to ramble. "Ohhh help would be so wonderful! She really is a sweetie though. But yet she is a handful. Ohhh I've never been around a kit before and I figured that it would give me practice if I ever became a mother myself. But I've not found anybody to my liking that I would want to have kits with." She turned an even brighter shade of red. Ohhh dear she must be sounding so stupid about now.
She looked at him. "I...I... I dunno! I just figured I would find somewhere out here to sleep for the night." She looked around thinking. "I guess right here will be fine. Since I've nowhere else to go."

Libi sighed in relief, then blinked at himself, oh he had a bad feeling that she might have had a kit with one of those idiots by accident...perhaps they'd forced themselves on her, but apparently that wasn't the case, so he smiled, "I would be honored to help you out." He thought it was cute how she rambled, and chuckled.
"That won't do. You can stay at my place tonight, we've got spare rooms for guests, I'm sure you'll be comfortable there. Or you can have my room for the night and I'll stand guard outside the door." He was not going to let her spend the night outside, and that was that. A damsel should not be outside on her own at night at all.

Winter continued to blush. "Ohhh no! I could never take your room from you. That would not be right and I would not want to intrude on your home." She looked up at the stars. "No out here will be fine. I can watch the stars." That would be a scandal in itself. A girl and a boy sneaking into his house well after dark. If seen someone might think they were being inappropriate. She was a good girl and didn't want to be tarnished with such things. She was going to find herself a proper mate and settle down just as she should. She would find herself a cute, sweet and caring guy. One just like Libi. She put a paw to her mouth blushing wildly at her thoughts. No no no. She must not think like this.

Well if she was determined to stay out here, then he would have to stay as well, a young lady alone was not going to happen on his watch. He nodded to himself, he would not have let Anuket spend the night alone outside, he sure as heck would not let a timid girl like Winter stay out in the woods alone.
He sat down, "Then I'll stay with you. Wouldn't want some ruffian running off with you, or the jerks you live with coming after you in your sleep." He nodded sagely, completely convinced and unbending in his resolve to keep an eye on her till morning.

Winter's blush became brighter. She could feel the heat from her blush. If this continued her head was going to explode. "No! Ohhh no no no!" She squeaked out. "If someone saw us they would think...." She looked around nervously before whispering. "..... that we were being inappropriate." She was completely embarrassed now. She wanted nothing more to do then hide in a deep dark hole. Though she wouldn't mind being labeled with him. He was so cute. Ohhh my god pull yourself together Winter! She yelled at herself. She needed to clear her head. She got up then ran over and dunked her head into the cold pond and held it there.

He was completely lost as to why she would be so upset, and then she whispered about them being inappropriate and he flushed a little. No one ever thought he was being inappropriate, or the slightest bit indecent...He gasped as she dunked her head in the water and held it there.
Libi was starting to get nervous at how long she was holding her head under for, "Um...well I can think of a way around it so that it doesn't seem like we're being indecent or anything like that....." He wondered if she could hear him with her head under water or not. He'd figure this out as he didn't want to leave her alone at all. He was quite sure the poor girl was going to be an easy target for anyone passing by.

Winter pulled her head out of the water. At least her head was not going to explode now from all the blushing. She looked at him shaking her head a bit getting the water off. "How?" She wasn't sure he could pull any of that off. Sighing she sat down looking at him. "I..... I........ could always go home." Though she really did not want to return to there. She would rather sleep in a dung heap then return home right now. They would be there and laughing at her. They would be there waiting to pull their next prank on her. At least this time it was harmless. Last time it was a snake in her bed and not just any snake. It was a rattlesnake.

Libi shook his head vigorously at her thought of going home, "I'm sorry, but I simply cannot allow you to return to that place this evening, who knows what those jerks are planning for you." He sighed and gave her a stern sort of look.
"There's a nest up in that tree that I made, You can sleep up there, while I sleep..." He motioned to a hollowed out tree next to the one he'd pointed up to with the nest, "In there. Will that take care of your worries for the evening?" He just couldn't stand the thought of her being more abused than she already had been, it was the first time he was getting rather upset about something like this, since he often didn't bother others with their choices, but she was small, and vulnerable and being taken advantage of for practical jokes. This simply did not sit well with him.

Winter frowned. None of this would do at all. She flew up to the nest landing softly on it. It was a large nest and she doubted anybody would notice if they were up here. "Come up here Libi. We'll just stay in this nest together. It is large enough and honestly I didn't know it was up here until you said something. So I highly doubt anybody will notice us up here." She blushed a bit. She had never offered to sleep with anybody besides Scoot before. "We can sit and watch the stars together." She sat down still keeping an eye on him below.

Libi blinked as she flew up to his nest, and then called down to him to come up. Obviously she didn't think of him as anything other than a friend, which was good. He blinked at the small irritated pang, and shook it off, before stretching his wings and sweeping himself upwards to land in the nest.
"Alright then. As you can see, I rigged this with a nice canopy opening so we can get a clear vision of the stars." He prided himself on his ingenuity, and this was his most recent triumph, He ignored the closeness of her as he used his paw to point out distinct constellations for her to look at.

Winter smiled at him. "It is wonderful. I've never really looked at the stars before." She blushed a bit. "I've never had time to really watch. I'm sure you know lots about them. So will you please teach me?" She smiled warmly at him. "So ummm do you have a mate or girlfriend who might get jealous if you stay out all night with me?"

Libi stared at Winter in disbelief, not because she was asking him to teach her about stars, but because she'd asked if he had a mate or a girlfriend, he couldn't exactly figure why even if he did have a mate that she might get jealous, he was sincerely helping someone out. Not that it didn't help that she was cute.
He cleared his throat after he realized he'd been staring ing silence, and possibly had sat there with his mouth open for a good while, "No, I don't have either of those. Like I said, I'm too boring for most, my siblings are much more exciting, and both of them already have mates. So, you don't need to worry about a jealous female coming up and making a scene." He couldn't help grinning a bit, "Anything else you'd like to know about me, or the stars we're looking at this evening?" His fur ruffled in the wind and he chuckled, stretching his wings as he waited for her to think of questions.

Winter watched him then blushed a bit. "Then ummm well...." She started rubbing her ear. "Would a boring guy like you want to go on a date with a boring girl like me some time?" She asked a bit sheepishly. He would proble tell her no but it was worth a try. Wasn't like she knew other guys who were kind and nice to her. "Y..Y...You don't have to say yes. I wouldn't want you to do something you didn't want to do." She looked up at the stars awaiting his answer.
