The mansion had been destroyed. That was what Olivia Niven had found out when returning from her latest job. Well, it wasn't really a job. That had been a lie she told the others at the mansion before leaving. She had just left to go out on her own for a while, maybe cause some trouble somewhere. A small smirk graced her lips at the thought. She just loved messing with people's heads. It was fun to see their reactions and what happened because of them. Olivia wondered what had happened to cause the entire mansion to be destroyed with what seemed to be everyone who had lived there being killed in the incident. Granted, Olivia wasn't sure herself whether she cared that the people she had lived amongst were now all gone. Sure, she may feel a little sad, but she knew it was just the circle of life for things to eventually die. As such, Olivia herself was never afraid to die.
Anyway, after only spending a few hours near the destroyed mansion, Olivia had moved on. She was on her way through the city. Unlike most other people, Olivia did not always travel by conventional means. Most of the time, she would leap from rooftop to rooftop. It was more fun and she could see more from those vantage points around the city. At one point she spotted someone she recognized, someone from the mansion. It was Locke. Why was he still alive? Or was it more like a how had he managed to get away from the mansion alive? Now this had Olivia's curiosity piqued.
As such, the female vampire jumped down towards the ground, landing lightly on her feet in crouch before standing up slowly. She had her eyes watching Locke's every move, her smirk still in place. He seemed to be wandering the early morning streets for some reason or other. For what, Olivia wasn't sure. But it was probably food or something of that nature. Since there were questions to be answered, Olivia planned to follow Locke around and get her answers out of him one way or the other. Maybe others were alive after mansion's destruction as well. But she thought that to be highly unlikely.

Rath rolled in the bed after sleeping for far longer than he had anticipated. groaning he blinked as he slowly became aware of his surroundings and wondered why it had gotten so cold recently. moving his arm again he realized something was missing and suddenly jumped up in bed sitting bolt upright as he looked around the room, "Locke?" Rath said as he saw no sign of the witch within the room and stumbled out of the bed to check the bathroom, "Locke damn it please respond, this isn't funny!" he shouted and took note of the still wet shower that seemed to have recently been used. Damn it! where did he go! he snorted in irritation as he moved to the door and jerked it open I spend half the night watching for danger, and he decides to randomly walk off like nothing is wrong! damn that man! he thought to himself as he carried a discarded shirt out the door and threw it on as he headed in any direction he could, for some reason unable to sense his master, and ending up moving in the opposite direction to Locke's location.

Alissa awoke a few hours later to find Izzy sleeping closely with her nuzzled against her neck, blushing slightly cause Nathan was stuck in the same room as them she slowly moved back making Izzy mumbled slightly. not wanting to wake her, Alissa quickly grabbed a pillow to put in her place and slowly climbed out of the bed without much noise, then hurried to the bathroom to wash up before getting dressed and tip tied slowly to the door planning to get out fo the stuffy room, she was starting to feel rather claustrophobic being surrounded by the white walls that reminded her of the hospital. Id rather not have to relive that again she thought with a sigh.

Nathan slept relatively lightly, like always, never really going into a very deep sleep unless he was completely exhausted. He awoke to the sounds of someone getting out of bed nearby. He opened his eyes and stared up at the ceiling for a bit before sitting up. He saw Alissa tiptoe out of the bathroom and he whispered, "Where do you think you're going?" He stood up and stretched silently, heading over to the door and whispering, "I doon't think it's safe for you to wander out alone, I'll go with you. Izzy should be fine here, she won't be up until later." Nathan looked over at the sleeping vampire woman who mumbled lightly in her sleep and held onto the pillow Alissa had replaced like it was the most important thing she had possession of. Sighing lightly he turned back to Alissa and quietly said, "Well, let's go." He smiled lightly and opened the door, quietly walking out into the hallway and waiting for Alissa.

Alissa was startled when she heard Nathan, but smiled as he did not prevent her from leaving and simply joined her. "thanks, i was suffocating in that room" she whispered as they closed the door fairly sure that Izzy might still be able to hear her even through the wall if she talked any louder. they made their way out of the hotel with little hindrance before she decided to stop at a local fast food restaurant for some break fast, "thanks for understanding Nathan, i was beginning to suffocate in there," she sighed as she used the card Izzy had given her to pay for the food for both her and Nathan although he was unaware that he would be finishing her cinnamon roll, "besides i haven't been out in days even though we have been traveling for some time" she said as they sat down to wait for the food.

Aris could sense the Creature near by as she made her way though the streets closing in on the hotel location, the smell of blood was faint to her nose, and even though the intruding Vampire had not been in this area for over 20 hours recently she could still pick it up like a blood hound, her every sense had been breed tp work like this. wipe out the threat before it consumes the city she kept telling herself as she wandered through the streets in her white cotton t-shirt and black pants that concealed the silver lined knives she had soaked in her blood the night before. Alissa and Nathan were gone by the time she had found the hotel and she stood outside for a moment among the crowd before walking in being hailed by the desk clerk she waved them off, "i am visiting a friend" she simply told them as some of her concealment spell eventually made them pay no mind to her and she made her way to the elevator, now the real work was about to begin.

Nathan smiled at Alissa in reply, and simply followed her to get breakfast. He had tried to pay for breakfast but Alissa insisted on using the card Izzy gave her. He sat down across from her and chuckled lightly before saying, "Well, me and Izzy are worried about you, you're the defenseless one of the group. But I know what you mean, hotel rooms can be kinda suffocating. And the color of the room this time wasn't exactly... wise on my part. I know you hate hospitals after what happened. I'll try and get a better room next time, we could always go higher class, but we should probably use Izzy's money for that." Nathan sighed as his breakfast arrived, though breakfast was a rather loose term as it was nearing lunchtime. He ate quietly and slowly, preferring to take things easy rather than rush through breakfast just to go back to sitting around doing nothing. Nathan sighed a bit before setting down his drink and asking, "Are you okay Alissa? You haven't been sleeping well lately, you mumble in your sleep and you toss and turn all over the place. At least until Izzy gets into bed with you. Is it because of Victoria?" Nathan had been meaning to ask Alissa about Victoria for a while now, since her death was obviously affecting her quite a bit.

Alissa sighed when Nathan said he under stood and felt a chill run down her back as he asked her about Victoria, and she stared at her drink for a few moments before answering, "i feel some what at fault" she whispered as she remembered their room mate's always cheerful face and attitude and she could feel the tears welling again, "Between you and Izzy, something happened back there that i feel responsible for, and not only has it taken Victoria's entire bright future, but it has ruined the lives of her family members! Nathan what can i do, it is eating me from the inside, i don't think she even saw it coming" she squeaked having a hard time squeezing the words through her mouth without breaking into a sobbing fit, Of all people to die, why did she have to, it really isn't fair" she finally started to sob as their order number was called and she hesitated going to grab their food cause she was beginning to cry, I wish Izzy was here she thought wishing for comfort now.

Nathan was surprised by Alissa's reaction, he didn't think she would react so strongly to his question. He reached his hand out and set it gently on Alissa's hand, saying, "It wasn't your fault Alli, trust me, I know it's hard, I lost someone very close to me as well, and for the longest time I thought it was my fault, I still do think it was partly because of me... Life isn't fair, and there's nothing you can do to change the fact that she's dead. But, think of it this way, would Victoria want you moping and crying about it, or would she want you to move on, and live your life fully. She was always telling you to get out an live a little wasn't she? Do what she would have wanted, and when this is all over, live your life to the fullest. Take Izzy and go somewhere, study abroad, take risks, do whatever you want, but don't just sit here crying about it, because that won't bring her back, nor will it make you happy. Be right back." Nathan got up and brought their food back quickly, setting it aside and saying, "Now, come on, Izzy will blame me if you come back in tear, and I'll never hear the end of it. So smile a little, eat some breakfast and we can head back to see her in a little while. I'll step out for a little while and you two can have some alone time to talk. Okay?" Nathan smiled and gently held Alissa's hand for a moment then moved the tray with their food into the middle of the table, so they could eat.

Alissa rubbed her eyes as Nathan left to get the food, knowing that what he had said was true. Victoria would have smacked her over the head if she could see Alissa now. Taking a deep breath she had calmed down by the time he had brought the food back, "you are right, i shouldn't be sulking like this... although I'm not sure Victoria had running in mind when she said i should get out more" she said taking a bite as she switched her mind from subjects she did not know if Nathan knew she was starting to realize what was going on, but it didn't take a genius to realize they weren't simply searching for a new place to live, they were running from something as well, but what she did not know, They will tell me when they are ready she thought as she took a sip of her drink, "I wonder if Izzy has realized i have left yet?"

Nathan smiled as Alissa seemed to cheer up a bit, he didn't like seeing her sad, considering what she was normally like. He chuckled at her comment about Izzy and replied, "I sincerely doubt it, she's probably holding onto that pillow you replaced yourself with for dear life. If we hurry you can get back there and slip back without her ever even knowing you were gone." He chuckled slightly and took a bite of his food, for once in the past three months, it was a fairly normal breakfast, and not one held in their dark hotel room eating sandwiches with the shades down and the curtains closed. He wanted to change the subject to something Alissa would enjoy so he thought of one or two things; Izzy, or their next stop in the city. He thought for a moment and asked, "So where should we head next, we've still got an entire city to stay in, we could stay in downtown or move to uptown, where the classy hotels and apartments are? I for one have had enough of downtown for the moment, but if we move to uptown our expenses will probably double, the price of a hotel room up there and restaurants as well as food is a bit higher than down here. We can make a vote on it later, but for now, I just want to hear your opinion." Nathan smiled and took another bite of his food, waiting for Alissa's response.

Alissa blinked before looking up at Nathan, "where? up town or down town? so we aren't going far this time?" she asked getting slightly excited since it meant that they might be getting away from what ever they were running from, "does this mean we might be able to find some where to stay permanently? how long do you think we will be able to stay?" she said beginning her twenty questions hoping this nightmare would be over. "i would like to stay in a nicer place next time to be honest," she said feeling slightly ashamed for being so ungrateful. "not that i haven't been happy to at least have a bed every night, but i do like coming out side every once in a while, if i am going to travel might as well enjoy the sights right? just because Izzy is a vampire doesn't mean i am" she gave Nathan a smile in appreciation, "i would like to go out to a few hobby shops later when Izzy fells out to coming out, ive been getting really bored lately..."

Aris smiled as she found the right level, stairs took time to climb, but they much more efficient than elevators, "Easier than expected, come out little vampire, you really should have died ages ago" she said walking down the halls and placing a hand on each door as she passed feeling for the vampire's traces as she passed each room in turn, close she thought to herself as the scent became stronger, yes hunting during the day was much easier. some considered it back stabbing, but in the case of vampires one could not be too careful. "found you" she whispered as she placed a hand on the right door and stepped back for a moment, drawing a large blade before coming about with a swift kick to knock the door off it's henges as well as the lock, "Alriht vampire, your time is up"

Izzy sat up quickly and rolled out of the bed onto the floor, grabbing her enchanted sword from under the bed before getting to her feet and facing the intruder. She bared her fangs and hissed at the woman, replying, "Hunter? And here I thought it was someone much more dangerous. I have no quarrel with you or any other hunter, leave me in peace." Izzy held her blade steady, waiting for any more the woman might make; she could sense the woman was powerful, but she couldn't ascertain the source of her power. Izzy had noticed that Nathan and Alissa weren't with them, which Izzy was grateful for, she didn't want either of them in the middle of this fight. Izzy put her back to one of the windows, if things got too bad, she could jump out and grab the ledge before dropping to the ground. They were only on the fourth floor, which was an easy distance for Izzy to drop, so she had at least one escape route. She growled at the hunter and said, "One last chance, leave me in peace, I don't want any trouble." Still Izzy didn't drop her sword for an instant.

Nathan was just about to reply to Alissa when his phone buzzed, he quickly took it out and looked at it. His face darkened and he said, "Problem, we need to leave. Now." He stood up and grabbed Alissa by the wrist and dragged her out of the restaurant at a run, they weren't too far from the hotel so it wouldn't take long to get back too the room. Nathan took the stairs, taking the steps four at a time, letting Alissa trail behind him as he made his way back to the room. Breathing only slightly hard, Nathan left the stairwell of the fourth floor and headed down the hall, vaulting over the room service cart and rounding the corner. Halfway down the hallway, Nathan recognized some vaguely familiar hair, running even faster, if she was here, and Izzy was there, it was going to be a bad bad fight. Skidding to a halt outside the room, Nathan shouted, "Aris! Wait! She's a friend! Whew... my god I haven't run that hard in a while" Nathan already had his short sword out and ready to defend himself just in case. He panted heavily, glancing down the hallway to see Alissa rounding the corner, sighing lightly and holding up a hand for her to keep her distance.

Aris grabbed her second blade as the creature went for her weapon and suddenly hissed at her. The hunter did not want to take any chances, but she was taken back slightly as Izzy did not move to strike, but noticed right away that she had moved to the windows, "planning an escape route huh? there is no where you can go that i cant follow vampire" she said ignoring the comments and the shout from behind her as she brought her hands together to mumble a spell trigger and throw a dagger at the window, sealing the exit from the Vampiress before she had any chance to run, Swiftly following she pounced with her daggers poised to strike any spot on the vampires body, simply needing to land a strike to the vampire's skin in order to weaken the creature. "You wont be here much longer to make any trouble"

Alissa was thoroughly shocked when she was jerked from her seat without finishing her breakfast and then practically dragged to the hotel, "Nathan what is wrong!" she managed to gasp as they reached the doors and she was given a faint second ot pause as he threw the doors open and then bolted inside again dragging her up to the stairs, the only thing she could think of that would make him rush like this was due to an emergency, and with the direction they were headed in she was beginning to fear the worst, "don't tell me Izzy is in trouble!" she gasped as she watched Nathan fly up the stairs and she followed quickly managing to skip two steps at a time before nearly falling, after that point she had to slow down against her wishes, but she still tried her best to rush, {b]"Izzy!" she shouted as she reached the floor level an noticed Nathan out in the hall. she stopped as he signaled to her and shook slightly as she realized Izzy was in trouble, so we haven't out run the problem after all she thought starting to feel sorry for her thought earlier about constantly running away.

Izzy growled at the woman when she cut off her escape route, she was good, there was no doubt about that. Nathan's arrival was unexpected but Izzy was grateful, it was too bad the hunter seemed to ignore his words. She heard Alissa's voice down the hall as well, it was turning into a party. Izzy was very surprised when the woman jumped at her with her daggers out and ready to strike. Izzy fell to the ground and felt sharp steel pierce her body down near her stomach. She screamed as she felt some of her strength leave her; was this going to be the end? The woman had taken her completely by surprise, and already eliminated her chances of effectively escaping or fighting back. Izzy felt the blood running down her side and wondered what the daggers the woman was using were made of. Izzy wondered if her entire life would flash before her eyes, and how long that would take when she felt a weight being lifted off of her and saw the ceiling instead. She stayed there for a little while, not wanting to move.

Nathan swore when Aris ignored him and pounced on Izzy and heard her scream. He rushed in and grabbed Aris, pulling her off of Izzy and throwing her out of the room and following her out. Picking her up and forcing her up against the wall wit one arm, Nathan kept his focus on Aris while saying, "Alissa, get in there, Izzy's hurt." Nathan then turned his attention to Aris and said, "Next time I say stop, please do so Aris. You nearly killed out friend. What the hell are you doing here?" Nathan had his short sword in one hand, ready to defend against Aris's knives if she didn't stop attacking. "Are you going to stop trying to kill people now?"

Sadly for Locke he remained unaware that Olivia was following him. He had grabbed some snack food and microwavable meals, due to them being in a small motel and quick to move he didn't have a real need to buy any real cooking supplies. He managed to get to the checkout before getting the odd feeling he was being stalked. He frowned for a moment, but decided to let it be after all even if he was being followed they wouldn't do something in a place where they could be noticed so easily.

Nathan shouted at Alissa as he came running out of the room forcing back a woman with bright hair and Alissa felt some what shocked. frozen she simply watched for a moment before realizing Nathan had said Izzy was hurt, Panicked she forgot the people she had been watching and instantly ran into the room to find Izzy lying on the floor, looking paler than usual and rather sick, "Izzy! what happened!" she cried as she fell to her knees and crawled quickly to her somewhat frozen body, she did not seem to be responding, "Nathan Izzy isn't moving!" she cried as her hands moved the hair from Izzys face and she panicked as she searched for some kind of sign that Izzy was okay, "Izzy speak to me! please!" she cried as her hands ran over the bloody stab wound and she stared at it finding out she had tears running down her cheeks. "what do i do Nathan!"

Aris smiled as one of her blades struck home, and she could smell the woman's blood seep through "you are mine now!" Aris said triumphantly as she brought the blades up again to strike the creatures heart and throat, and suddenly let out a gasp as she was pulled from her prey and tossed into a wall, she hissed at her captor and recognized the man instantly, "you! you consider that monster a friend!?" she hissed back watching the vampire before looking back to Nathan "she is nothing but a blood sucker Nathan, shouldn't be here to begin with!" she said watching and being surprised as a human willingly walked up to the poisoned Vampire "hey get back! what the ******** do you think you are doing, what is she doing? that thing will kill you!" she shouted at the human as it looked to Nathan for help, "just let me take care of it, ill put it out of it's misery" she mumbled and glared at Nathan for stopping her.
