Roch almost had her. Almost. "Food? There's foo-" She was turning away, but then remembered her purpose. "No wait wait! You were a butt face. You even made poor Xiu wanna leave," she said gesturing the the poor Baku ghoul who seemed caught in the middle of the situation.
Still, Danny was feeling nice today. So instead of burning off his pants in front of everyone, she just punched him in the small of the back. Hard.
Into his ear, she whispered, only so he could hear her, "Next time, invite me. Or I'll burn down your dorm hotshot." She wouldn't, but hey, it sounded pretty damn tough! She hated being left out.
Greedily, she snatched up a spooke and threw it in her mouth. She reached up to pet Puppy on the ears and said, "Thanks puppy!" He was so cute. So cuddly wuddly fuzzy and cuteeeee.
Wait! She had almost forgotten about Xiu! Danny whipped around and grabbed the ghoul's unsuspecting hand. "C'mon Xiu, you can't leave now." Thanks to Danny's grip, she really couldn't. Danny began forcibly walking the ghoul to the table, where she promptly popped a squat. "So what game are we playing cowboil!" she said happily to Mot.

Xiu jumped as she felt someone's hand close around her own. Jerking her head around, her tail drooped slightly as she realized that she had been captured. "N-no, b-but I..." Was this what is was called to "crash a party"? Either way, she meekly allowed the fire demoness to lead her to the table, politely dipping her head in greeting.
It could have been worse, right? At least she knew everyone who was present. "If...if it's really alright..." Her gaze flickered to Danny, then to Roch (...that visor), and finally to each of the boils who were seated around the table. "...I-I'll be quiet." She promised nervously. Maybe she should take a seat instead of standing around awkwardly.
Xiu politely pulled a chair out for Danny where there was a free spot, and then dragged one out for her herself. Sitting down stiffly, she clasped her hands in the lap. It wasn't until she looked at Roch again, with his silly visor, did the she crack a smile and a small laugh.
Really, of all things to wear...

"Welcome, Xiu!" Mot greeted, grinning. "Glad you could join us."
Mot turned to Danny, smirking. "Well, that remains to be seen. Roch here is the head of the table." He nodded to his fellow reaper. "He'll decide the game." That, and the cowboil was feeling lazy. He did not really care what game they played. he knew them all.

Roch whimpered, having trouble breathing from that punch. "Son of a candle," he snarled once he had enough air. "Jackdammit, Danny! That HURT." Evil, evil witch. Why was he friends with her again? He straightened, still grimacing in pain as he made his way over to the table.
"We're playing poker. Just old fashioned poker," Roch said. "Mot over there's probably played more types than I have, so I wouldn't trust him to pick the game even if he offered." He grabbed one of the packs of cards and handed it over. "Now everyone check and see I haven't opened the deck, got it?"

Demi simply scoffed at Mot and his bluffs. "Well then it's a good thing I have two heads then, less can get over them." He managed to smirk all before his ears were assaulted by the fire demon and scowled at the treatment, even if his tail was wiggling.
"I'm not a puppy." he commented quietly, sure that whatever he was saying was going in one ear and out when it came to Danny. Xiu on the other hand, seemed even more timid than usual which seemed odd to the hound considering they were all on very friendly terms. such a shy ghoul she is.
"No need to be quiet Xiu,welcome to the table!" he quipped up before rolling his eyes at Roch and his professionalism as a dealer, he was really taking that green visor far too seriously. "We should check his sleeves for spare aces." he drawled out before nibbling into another Blackjack spookie.

Nyyrikki grinned at Danny and Roch, always amused by their antics. "Suck it up, Roch. Can't let a girl get you down. Sit by me and ignore Roch's whining, Danny." He patted the seat next to him to invite Danny over to sit, and rocked the chair on it's back legs. He hadn't known who all was going to be here, but he couldn't say he was displeased with the result. This would certainly be interesting.
He inspected the pack of cards from afar and shrugged, taking a handful of goodies from the center of the table. There were three reapers here, so it didn't really matter if they'd opened the pack previously or not, did it? He didn't know any good tricks, but he didn't know if they did or not.

A devil's grin spread across Mot's cheeks at Roch's comment about him. "Whatever do you mean, partner?" He gleamed, leaning back and tapping his fingertips together.
Demi's comment made him laugh out loud.
It was going to be a good day.
"I'm sure the deck is fine. If we catch you cheating, we'll just strip you naked and hang you from the flagpole for the night."

Danny took Roch very seriously.
She reached over the table (practically climbing on it in the process) and nabbed the deck from his hand. She flipped the box over very carefully, examining each of the corners and crevasses. She looked at it with squinting eyes. When she was finally satisfied, she handed the deck back to Roch with confidence.
Very sternly she said, "Guys, don't worry. The deck is definitely not open." She nodded like a sage, as if she had just saved the world by checking that deck. She was very serious.
Riri was inviting her to sit with him? Danny looked over at the reaper with wide eyes, then back to Roch. She felt bad about ditching Roch, but she had been invited to sit. This was a big deal! The spot was even still next to Xiu, thanks to the seat she had chosen!
Carefully, she got up from her chair and sat next to the crappy metal chair Roch had set up. "Roch you need nicer chairs," she said absentmindedly, her spoiled demon brain taking over, "I'll bring you some squishy ones next time!"
Danny leaned over and quietly said to Xiu, "I don't know how to play poker ... can you help?" She didn't want to ask Roch or one of the boils for help. They would undoubtedly make fun of her (as if they weren't already ...).

Mot and Demi's welcome made the Baku grin a little, and she inclined her head slightly. "T-thanks guys. I'm sorry for showing up unannounced." And to a poker party, no less! Despite her win during prom, Xiu wasn't entirely sure how the game worked. Apparently she just had ridiculous luck.
Her eyes immediately flew open at Mot's comment, and she looked over at her friend with vague horror. "You...you'll do what now?" Was this what boils talked about and did when they were alone? Stripping their friends and hanging them somewhere for all to see? The mental image of waking up to see a naked boil outside of her window...
Xiu gave an involuntary little shudder.
Perking up, she gave her full attention to Danny when the other ghoul leaned closer to her. She was...she was asking her for help? Uh oh. "I-I...um...I've only played a little myself. I-I'm not sure that I'd be the best choice. Roch could teach you, right?" She was unaware of the reason the demoness chose to avoid asking the boils.

"We've got a flagpole?" Roch asked curiously as he took the card pack back, opening it and sliding out the cards. He tossed out the jokers and the instruction card and started shuffling them. He did decently, but not great. "Poker's a game where you try to get a good hand," he said as he shoved out the chips. "Everyone will start with, let's say, twentyfive seeds worth of chips. That's one of the red or two blues and an orange, or five oranges," he explained. ((I am TOTALLY BS'ing this right now, sorry.))
"But hell, we're just goofin' off, right?" he said, starting to deal the cards. "So look at your cards, if you wanna fold you can fold now, or if you wanna bet, discard up to three, and toss in your bet and I'll deal out the next cards." He looked at the ghouls. "You guys at least played at prom, right? So you should know the good hands?"

"Never mind." Mot smirked, waving a hand dismissively. He wouldn't really put anyone through that, admittedly. Evidently his creative response went over the majority of their heads.
"We can do a mock round to show the ghouls what it's all about." Mot suggested, taking up his cards and looking them over.

Demi slid his cards a little closer to his edge of the table and gave them a careful sniff and a peek, just in case they were marked by scent. "I got no problem with a warm up round." he replied back to the gunslinger.
"Way to kill the joke dude" he grinned back to Roch, "I'm sure there are other structures we can hang him off of Mot, a nice cliff or even off the top of a house." he added sarcastically.
The idea of the guitar playing reaper getting left on top of the mayor's house did give the hellhound the giggles.

Danny looked at Xiu with absolute horror in her eyes. Violently, she whispered, "I can't ask Roch, he'd make fun of me forever." There was an absolute deadly seriousness in her eyes. She really didn't want to ask the boils for help
Oh dear Jack Roch. Way to send it over the rainbow with that one.
There were chips? And folding? Good hands? Well she wasn't about to let Roch get one over on her. Boisterously she said, "Of course I know the good hands Roch. It's poker. C'mon. Folding. And stuff." She was definitely screwed.
Picking up her cards, she looked once at her cards, over to Mot and Xiu, then back to her cards. Mot totally knew she couldn't play, didn't he? The way he suggested they do a mock round just oozed with understanding. Nope, Danny wouldn't let him take that.
"Yeah yeah, let's just play," she looked at her cards. Two sevens, a three, a jack, and a five. Now what was she supposed to do with these? She decided to just watch what everyone else was doing and figure it out from there.

"A-ahaha, D-danny..." The ghoul laughed weakly at the fire demoness' bluff, though she wasn't entirely sure why she was so against asking Roch. He was nice! He wouldn't make fun of Danny--
--...Okay, she had to admit that he did enjoy teasing a lot.
Hoping that Danny wouldn't mind, Xiu leaned over to take a peek at her cards, frowning slightly as she took them in. She couldn't claim to know much about poker, but from her previous experience playing during prom...
"I...um, I think getting two or more cards of the same number is good?" She whispered, motioning towards the ghoul's cards, "Or...if you have cards that are all the same suit? I think cards that go in chronological order are good too, like...2, 3, 4, 5, and 6." That was about as much as she learned from the two games she had played during prom, though she wasn't aware of which hands beat what. She was sure that Danny would learn quickly though.

Roch looked at his own hands, then discarded two of the cards, seeming to expect the others to know what they wanted to discard as well. He leaned back, eying each of them thoughtfully before snorting. "Don't even bring up getting caught on houses, dawg," he said, a little grin playing on his lips.
"There was this one time--" Then he stopped, glancing at the ghouls. "Never mind."
