Saul ||+||Class:Imperial Scout||+||Height: 6 Feet||+||Weight:210 lbs||+||Age:40||+||Hair:None||+||Eyes:Blue ||+|| With everything I loved gone...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Saul toggled the switch again and it returned to the original forest camo scheme he'd always had. He flexed his gloved hands, and finally spoke after what felt live forever. "The cure they gave me had side effects. It made a lot of my flesh necrotic, and they had to remove it and replace ti with cybernetics. I'm more machine then man now. Both Arms, legs, lungs, spine, eyes, feet, all machine now. Hell, even a few of my organs were replaced as well, including my heart. I would rather get into action then sit around brooding on my current problems. At least being part of the military, they gave it to me for a lower price, they just take it out of my yearly pay, for the next twenty years." Most Imperial Military personnel didn't talk about wages, but they were very good for even recruits. They made a flat rate amount a year, with free housing and food on base, and a stipend of funds for recreation and food and such when on leave. They certainly had it better then most... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.
Persephone looked up at him. "I'm sorry," she said, surprisingly genuine. "If there's anything I can do..." She trailed off again, finishing the last of her coffee and laying some money on the table.
"Don't take it personally," she began, the ghost of a playful smile flickering across her face, "but I don't really want to sit here and listen to you brood either. Come on, let's go find something to do."
She chose not to mention the fact that she had left a few shopping bags of weapons and clothing on board his ship-- he would find that out soon enough, she reasoned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Saul's comm unit chimed at him, forwarding a message captured by his ship. He read is quickly, there really wasn't much to it. Finally, he spoke. "My ship intercepted a message from the planet Vorg. Something about information on a bounty hunter named Fate, and how it could ruin him and his career. It interests me...how about a trip to a world that mines Thurium?" Everyone knew about Vorg, being a valuable world in the Imperial crown, as well as a penal colony, using prisoners as labor in the mines. A deadly world, with extreme temperatures underground... "We'll have to get you environmental armor. The heat in the mines is too much for unarmored humans to withstand for very long." And the bounty hunter...everyone knew about his reputation...if he even suspected someone was digging into his secrets, they wouldn't have to worry about living for much longer.... "This will be dangerous too. Fate is not a man to be trifled with." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.

"Fate?" Persephone chewed her lower lip thoughtfully for a moment. "Whoever sent out that transmission is just begging to have him come after them... He's one of the most dangerous men in the galaxy."
She wasn't too thrilled about the idea of traveling to Vorg, but for some reason that still wasn't entirely clear to her, she chose not to voice that. When Saul mentioned getting her environmental armor, however, she visibly stiffened.
"Helmets put my eyes on the fritz," she explained to Saul. "If I put on a suit of environmental armor, my night vision will be gone, I won't be able to focus in on such fine details... In low-light settings, I'll basically be completely blind." She had to fight to keep the note of annoyance out of her voice-- Saul hadn't been there when she and Guy had tried to use that teleporter, after all... He hadn't heard any of this before, and he had no reason to know anything about the programming flaws in cybernetic eyes...
She brushed her hair away from her face. "If you ask me, this almost sounds like a suicide mission," she said matter-of-factly. "Dangerous information about a dangerous man, coming from an unknown source on a dangerous planet... Every ounce of training I've ever had is practically screaming at me that this is a bad idea... However, I happen to be in need of a challenge... And if I survive this, maybe Command will get off my back about never wanting to travel all that far... So, if you really think this is a good idea, I'll go."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  "Perhaps this will change your mind. Think about it, this information could be worth a lot to the right person. You could get the credits to have advanced cybernetic eyes put in, like mine. They don't have the issues that the first gen models have. Plus, you can't survive in the mines without armor." He had thought about how Fate would react, and he knew he didn't need that kind of heat on him. Fate had the pull it would take to expose him as a Rebel operative...and then he would be hunted by both the Empire and Fate... "I say our best best is to obtain this information, and then give it to Fate. We shouldn't demand money, but I am sure he would be willing to not kill us for it, at the very least. Especially if we don't read this information or even look at it." He used his link to his ship to pull up the maps of the mines and the prison, using his military clearance to access the restricted maps. There was a secondary prison deep beneath the surface, near the bottom of the mines, where they kept the worst prisoners, instead of scattering them in the barracks dotted throughout the mines. Most likely, this would be an easy job, quick in and out, and the only danger being the heat if they stayed too long without armor. He said as much, and awaited her response. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.
Crew of The Mika Brugunn, Miele, Sluc, Gar-ne, and Amari  Gar-ne giggled a bit at MEaSU remark. "Very funny. Now bring me to a street of hand knit sweaters and wool so I can have my turn." She giggled, thinking it would be fun for them to get something for her. She watched quietly as MEaSU set up the trap, looking behind her to keep an eye on Sluc. The smoker girl was busy admiring some unrolled weed and some infusion options to change the taste and smell of the smoke. Gar-ne smiled and turned back to MEaSU as she finished setting up the trap and they moved out of the plaza, Gar-ne gasping for breath and soon as they were free from the smoke. "Phew! Fresh air!" She sighed and then smiled big as they went around a corner, continuing to the store. "But I have a question, how do you know she'll pick that one-"
Before she could finish, the line started to pull back in. Every once in awhile it jolted like someone was tugging on it. It continued to reel back until eventually Sluc stumbled around the corner and- "WAUGH!!" Smacked right into Gar-ne and MEaSU and fell down the stairs. "Owwwwwww.." Luckily it hadn't been that many steps, so none of them were seriously hurt. "Fine, I take back my flowers comment, happy?" Sluc muttered, though she was smiling as she brought the cigar up and lit it, even though the line was still attached to it.
Gar-ne rubbed her head where it had hit the ground and then helped MEaSU, who had landed on her up. "Wow, I'm surprised you grabbed that one first."
"I didn't." Sluc then held up her other hand were about seven cigars were held. "I just can't resist free smokes." She smiled. "You okay Mea?" She asked the android.
Persephone pursed her lips thoughtfully, taking a moment to think over everything Saul had said.
"So what you're telling me," she began, repeating the information mostly to buy herself a little thinking time, "that you think we should go to Vorg, get the info, whatever it may be, and give it straight to Fate without even asking for any sort of reimbursement for our trouble." She made it a statement of fact, not a question, and continued before Saul even had a chance to respond.
"I've got to admit, you've got a valid point. If we were to try to use any of this information against Fate, we would be dead. Trying to sell him the intel certainly wouldn't win us any brownie points either, but if we just show up with a sealed file and tell him that we think it's best that he sees it before someone else does, we should be able to escape with our lives... Which really is the best you can ask for when dealing with Fate."
She listened to his description of the mines and what sort of work they would have in front of them, and nodded grudgingly. "You're right," she told him. "It does sound easy... Promise me that you'll have my back if I need it?"
He nodded, and she nodded curtly in response. "Let's go get me some armor, then... It sounds like I'm going to need it."
MEaSU was busy laughing the whole way down the stairs. "Of course I'm fine. Even better knowing that is more effective bait than a turkey leg hanging on a rope." As she was helped up, she brushed herself off. She gave a sigh as she stopped laughing, perhaps the only one not feeling any pain. MEaSU brought two fingers to both sides of the line and small blades extended from the fingers. She literally snipped the line like a pair of scissors, and retracted the rest that was hanging loosely. "That was fun. It's been awhile since I laid a trap of any kind. And on a brighter note, we're here." She said as she faced a store right next to where they landed. It was a small place, one over shadowed by large malls or brand-name electronic stores. However, there was a curious charm to this place, even if the windows were blackened out. "Well then, let us head in." She said as she entered the store. It was slightly bigger than it appeared, and was literally rows of shelves filled with electronic pieces of all kinds. However, it was neatly organized. Even the old pieces of electronics look like they were cleaned up by whoever operated this store. In fact, it was just them; no one was behind the cash register. "Hmm...they said they were open. Perhaps they're just busy with something." She said as she began looking around, bringing up the list she made.
 Duncan Duncan listened and widened his eyes behind his shades. They were planning a mission that involved the Bounty hunter fate? Quite the adventure to be sure. Mamoru hijikata and fate had never had the chance to fomrally meet, as far as the memories duncan held were aware, which was all of mamoru's memories. Though they knew of one another well enough. Fate was known the greatest of bounty hunters, his abilities undeniable, while Mamoru was the greatest swordsman and competant fighter. The clone, duncan, possessing all his same skills and memories of mamoru found this a challenge and an adventure he could not but want to get in on. He rose up from his seat, and walked over to Persephone and Saul. "Sorry for the intrusion, but as I hear it, you two are going after matter's connected to Fate if I am correct. I want in. My name is Mamoru Hijikata, and I have an interest in fate you could say."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  "Agreed. But wait here. Someone's been watching us," said Saul. Sure enough, a stranger got up, and walked over, asking to be included in the job, and introducing himself. Saul had check him out discretely, and had him figured as tough, but not tough enough to not get himself killed. "I would suggest you keep your hands visible, stranger," Saul advised the newcomer. "I have a laser pistol trained on you from under the table. No matter what you try, you'll be dead before I am, and that is a promise. Now, why were you eavesdropping? Such a thing can get you killed, as you are close to discovering." Saul disliked having to threaten people, especially in public...he preferred to have the time to do things his way. If this fool insisted on making a scene, he would wind up dead, and if not injured himself, Saul would find himself paying a hefty bill to the bartender to keep him quiet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.

Persephone watched Saul's brief exchange with the stranger. Externally, she supposed she probably looked rather disinterested, but her brain was racing about a hundred miles an hour. Saul was being cautious, but at the same time he was definitely throwing his weight around a little...
The stranger, on the other hand, was tricky. She couldn't figure out at all why he had been so forward in approaching them... She could only assume that he was a skilled fighter, but to just walk right up to a man who was obviously heavily armed and a woman who could be carrying absolutely anything underneath her coat... He had to be a fool-- or much stronger than she was giving him credit for. Not to mention, he had given them his name up front. He either expected that they had heard of him, or was counting on the fact that they hadn't-- something that could either work for or against him.
"Never mind why he was spying on us," Persephone intoned after a moment. "I want to know who sent him."

 Duncan Duncan wayched them and smiled. he kept his hands in sight as requested, holding onto the cane. Specifically, his left hand holding the cane by the shaft where it meets the handle grip. "Not eave's dropping persay, it's not my fault everyone talks so loudly." he stated. It was a bit of self humor on his part, his limiter release heightened his senses, as well as made him faster and such. "No one sent me girl. If you don't know about my name, then do not worry about it. I'm not interested in either of you two, I'm interested in Fate only. Besides." he spoke, grabbing the handle grip of his cane with his right hand, twisting slightly and with his superior speed and reflexes, pulled his sword free while stepping forward with his right foot, slashing forward and upward, stopping with the sword point held right at saul's throat. the edge of the table was cut off, falling to the ground, along with the cut barrel of the laser pistol saul held. "Your ability to kill me, is as likely as your ability to kill fate." he spoke, sheathing the mono-molecular blade back into the cane sheath, twisting to initiate it's locking mechanism. "I have no ill-will to either of you, no matter your personal or political ideals. Fate is not a man one can simply ask to gain an audience with, and to put it bluntly, as a skilled individual myself, I wish to meet another skilled individual." He stated, bending down, he picked up the laser pistol barrel and the table edge, setting the edge onto the table, and handing saul the barrel. "allow me to accompany you, and I'll pay you back for the pistol." he finished.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Saul had to grit his teeth together to keep from cursing loudly. He tossed the destroyed weapon aside, and stood up with a burst of extreme speed, intending to shove his target over, then staggered and had to steady himself. These cybernetics were hard to get used to, harder then the doctors had said... "You're lucky I just came from a visit to my doctor, or you would be dead," said Saul. "Come with us if you like, but there is no way in hell that you ride aboard my ship." He threw down some credits to pay for the damage, and started walking out of the bar. "We'll meet at the Vorg Orbital Shipping Station. Try not to be late," he snapped. He then opened his comm unit to his doctor's frequency, sending a quick message about getting some combat enhancements to his cybernetics when this mission was done with... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...all I have is revenge.
