"Oh, right, uh... yeah," Roch said. "Sorry it's kind of an old one..." He glanced at the other ghoul again, a slight frown on his face. "I was pretty much raised on blues and a bit of Spanish beat," he admitted, playing with his guitar a bit as he tried to think of what to play next.
"But you looked like you knew it," he said, a question in his voice. "You wanna tell me where you've heard it? I'm just curious, because I have no idea where Bones learned it from, and I learned it from him." He slipped his guitar over his shoulder and headed for the bag he'd left to the side to grab a couple of bottles of water. He tossed one of them to Demi and popped open his own, taking a drink.

Holly nodded at Lilura. So it seemed they were some sort of music group. Was it a club? Or just a planned thing to do for fun perhaps. Never had she tried music but it seemed interesting. The ghoul did know there was a class so maybe if it ever striked her fancy she'd try it one day. What were all these different instruments though, maybe she'd just ask later. "Ah, trying to raise money for something?" Looked like there was a purpose to the playing after all. To bad for them since Holly was poor and hadn't any seeds to spare.
She waved to Damien. And there was another question answered. It was a club. He seemed kind of nervous for some reason. Was it because of performing? Holly knew she'd feel weird about playing one of those things infront of others. At least no one here was expected to dance to this music. "This the entire club, or just some of ya?" How many more instruments existed, she wondered.
The ghoul stared at Roch for a moment before looking back to Demi. "So who are your club-mates here? I'd, uh, request a song but I haven't any seeds to donate to your cause. Ghost don't have much money." Nor did her PJs have pockets.

Lilura giggled at the boil's question. It was a strange thing for a ghoul her age to know. But her abuela loved old spanish songs, especially ones with just the guitar. It was from her she got her love of boys in bands. Her grandmother would tell her stories of mariachi bands and being serenaded at her balcony. It all sounded so romantic.
"Well my family is Spanish so I've heard a lot of old spanish songs and new ones. Lots of guitar," she smiled.
She listened to Holly ask about a club. Rikki would like this club, she would have to mention it on their next date. Not to mention he could hang out with other boil reapers. Despite enjoying the times she and Rikki spent together she wanted him to have other friends to hang out with. She had seen ghoulfriends who were so clingy it drove the boy off. Her brothers had gotten a few of those.
"Yeah, are you guys recruiting or just raising funds for your club?" she asked curiously.

"Pretty much Holly, just trying to fund our club in the manner befitting its purpose." he said proudly with his chest puffed up . he didn't really expect people to stop by and enjoy the performance, considering it was just a duo and not the full ensemble.
He did manage to stop spinning the mallet in his hand long enough to answer Holly's question "Now we got a good collection of club members, a fair amount of the reapers seemed to be musically adept." he recalled after thinking about it for once. "oh, no they aren't here, its just me and fretmaster here, the others are holding their own mini performances out in other places on campus, you might come across them." he said casually, hopeing that the others would get just as good exposure, if not better.
And seeds, plenty of seeds.
"Its probably safe to say its a little of both, funding and free advertisement, eh?" he said with a smile as he proceeded to give a flashy show on the drum with a little bit of the drumline techniques he had for Lilura and Holly. the act of just drumming away was slowly but surely calming his frayed nerves down. "Right Roch?" he asked playfully with a little shoulder bump to go with it.

"That and I wanna see how people do playing for the public," Roch said, with alarming honesty. "I mean, playing in your room is one thing, right? Playing where people can judge you, either by saying things or just out walking away, that's another thing entirely." In his opinion he was being seriously nice by letting them do it where their friends could get their back if something happened. "You're doin' a great job improving by the way," he added to Demi. It seemed like praise, but it should have been seen as a warning that the reaper boil was going to toss another curve at him. "I've been..." He couldn't get over that jackin' itch in the back of his head. It made him pause with a slight scowl before he shook it off. "I've been watching a lot of gruetube lately, and I picked up a few new songs--it took me a couple of times playing, but I think I've got this one down to where I won't embarrass us in public with it. Already embarrassed myself in front or Riley, though," he added with a hint of red on his neck. He capped his bottle of water and put it on the ground before slipping the guitar back into place and starting to play.

Holly listened to Lilura talk. Spanish? Was that the type of this music. The ghoul hadn't much knowledge of the human world so maybe it had to do with something there. She'd ask later if she remembered since she'd rather not interrupt the current conversation. There was most likely tons of music selections she couldn't even start to dream about. These might be the ones to help broaden that. At least she knew what a guitar was, okay well she didn't know what the rest of the instruments some of them here were playing but that's okay.
"It's neat you guys can show the skill you are raising money for at least." She patted where pockets would have been had she not been wearing her PJs. "Tell me in advance the next time and I'll wear something with pockets." Holly grinned. "No seriously, I don't have a seed on me. But had I one, I'd donate to ya cause." In NAP they, well napped, no one would pay to watch that. Or at least she didn't think anyone would. That would be weird.
The ghoul rose a brow. "So there are more of you. Thought I heard something around the other side of the building. Might have to check that out later." Later, after she snuck through the building. She watched Demi as he showed of the drum. That didn't look too hard. "So for that, uh..." Jack, what was that called. "drum, ya just hit it with the stick?" Might as well learn something while watching right?
A chuckle escaped her lips at the mention of Riley. "Yeah, I think everyone has embarressed themselves in front of Riley or because of." Memories of dances came to mind. Ugh.

Lilura smiled as the boys talked about their club, it was obvious they enjoyed their music and the comradare of a band. Nyyrikki always seemed happy when playing his drums. Lilura had no musical talent what so ever, she had only ever practiced her magic and not much else with the exception of cooking. Maybe she could learn to sing? She blushed at the thought of singing infront of others. These guys looked uncomfortable enough just playing instruments.
She chuckled a bit at the girl in the pajamas. Yeah it was hard to carry things without pockets. She had pockets but couldn't run around due to her obession with wearing boots. She listened to each boy play around on his instrument and clapped a bit.
"Yeah gruetube is a great place to pick up songs, I think Rikki has picked up a few pieces from there. At least what I have heard," she pushed a blonde lock from her yellow eyes. Then she looked to Holly as she asked about the drum. Oh good! At least she wasn't the only one not musically inclinded.

Holly was enjoying the music. Really she'd only heard a little music casually in all her death. Okay. Well she had heard a lot of different kinds during the two dances she had attended. Still wasn't suer what her favorite type was.
"Gruetube? What is that, that a way to listen to music?" Well after saying that it made sense but she hoped someone could explain it in more detail to her at least. She looked to the other ghoul. "Oh, my name is Holly by the way." The other ghoul seemed familiar but she couldn't remember a name. "So do you play anything? Haven't played a thing myself." Holly thought for a moment. "Or have a favorite music type? I need to listen to more, I don't have any of those fancy music playing devices so I suspect that's to blame." She'd have to get one of those, one day. Perhaps one of her friends could help with that.

Roch glanced up at the mention of Rikki, a grin pulling at his lips as he ignored the itch in his brain for a bit. "You know Rikki?" he asked Lil. "He's in the club. He's a pretty cool guy, great drummer, too. He's partnered up with my vice pres for this, they should be playing somewhere... maybe?" he said, frowning slightly.
"Actually hell if I know," he said. "This is Danny we're talking about, she could wait till the last moment to do it."

Lilura looked to the ghoul who said she didn't know what grueltube was. How could you NOT know about grueltube? Some of the best and funniest things around were on it. "Oh yes, grueltube has all kinds of music on it. As well as funny tricks people have pulled. Its also rumored there's clips of the human world on it!"
When Roch mentioned Rikki Lilura got a bit blushy and glowed a bit, "Um...yeah I know Rikki really well. He's my boilfriend." They hadn't been dating long but she had enjoyed all the time she had spent with the chain wielding reaper. She was glad to hear his talents on the drum were being used to help the club raise money. She was blushing again thinking about him so she turned back to Holly.
"I'm Lilura and no I don't play any instruments. Unless you could enchanting drum sticks to play a beat," she smirked. Really, she had no musical talent. Maybe she should pick something up or least try singing so she could enjoy Rikki's hobbies more.

Demi might have forgotten that he was around people for awhile, it was just a flurry of stick movements and solid taps and reverberations. it didn't take long, or at least it didn't feel like a very long time, when the hound got out of his drummer trance to see holly staring at the drum like some kind of alien device.
"Uh yeah you hit it." he explained quietly, to confirm the basic of ideas to the fox PJ'd ghoul. "But its not just that, its how you strike it, and keeping the beat, if the drum goes off, other instruments will too." he confirmed with a nod of his head. he didn't really mind if she wanted to give it a shot, as long as she wasn't going to break the drum skin. "You wanna try?"
The talk of grueltube caught his canine ears attention as he moved his rig that was starting to dig into his shoulders. Carrying a drum is not exactly something that was light and easy to do. "Oh, you all use it too? there's such interesting things on there" he replied back, thinking about the odd clip with a cat frozen in shock whenever the human fingers got in its face... some thing called "Surprised kitten."

Holly made a mental note to check out that grueltube thing later, though she'd have to find someone she knew with one of those computer things. Being a ghost and lacking lots of seeds sucked sometimes. "Nice you meet you Lilura." She grinned back.
The ghoul nodded at the explanation of hitting the thing called a drum. Sounded easy enough but Demi seemed to being some impressive hitting on it. She shook her head at the offer to try the drums. "Maybe later. I think I might go and find the other lot you said were playing somewhere else." Now she kind of wanted to see what other instruments there were and that would possibly let her.

"You're his ghoulfriend?" Roch asked, looking at her with a bit of surprise. "Huh. Cool," he said finally. "But since everyone's so interested in the drums, why don't you do a solo, dawg? Show off those mad skills of yours."
He grinned at the hellhound, evilly. Playing all by yourself, now that was a serious stress test. Sure he did it all the time, but had Demi?

Talk about on the spot. "Uh, I guess I can before Holly goes off, think of it as an impromptu lesson." Damien said sheepishly as he got his drum positioned better on his body, the harness was still digging into his shoulders. He just had to keep telling himself it was a lesson, and it wasn't supposed to be embarrassing. Right. With a few calming breaths, the hound took his sticks and banged out a metronome beat before starting up his set.
