It was here.
The first day of the fall brought not only the change of leaves and a delicate little wind, but also the time for which two people had been waiting for for quite some time.
Qián Jianyu stood at the door to his home, hands tucked neatly into the sleeves of his simple black changshan, looking out across the courtyard he had grown up with for nearly twenty four years. It was quiet outside; the servants had already done their morning jobs, trimming the hedges, watering the plants, sprucing up the gardens to look their best for the influx of visitors they would be receiving later that afternoon. A few of the thicker patches of flowers were looking slightly less full; several had been deliberately picked to help with the decorations and the bouquets for the bride and her ladies-in-waiting.
The elegant gold and scarlet wedding outfit was resting carefully across the back of a nearby chair. Jianyu had not changed into it just yet; he still had several hours before the ceremony was to begin, and he did not want to do anything that might chance the outfit to be in danger of spills, rips, or any other potential damages.
The breeze was gentle against his face, pulling the unruly dark strands across his cheeks with soft flutters. Jianyu let his eyes flicker shut, breathing in the scents of cherry blossoms, spices, and the tender roast of meat that his mother had already started to cook for that afternoon, aided by the servants.
Huang would be arriving at the temple soon, and most likely Bataar as well. After a few moments, the rest of the family was ready to leave, and Jianyu exhaled slowly, breathing in a sigh and opened his eyes, turning to take a step away from the front door and move back into the house.
Several minutes later, they were at the temple.

It was the kind of weather that made Yue Lao consider sleeping in her blanket cocoon and not emerging until the seasons had thoroughly changed. This time, however, she was up even when the first light crept across the sky. Not because she had risen early, but because she had failed to sleep. Yue Lao, when excited, was unable to rest. She had tried to sneak out to train, as it was the only thing which calmed her down when she was in her most excitable moods, but Yowai had caught her and dragged her back indoors. The cuts on her stomach and palms had healed, with Chichi's help, and Yowai wasn't about to risk their bride getting injured on the morning before her wedding.
Her wedding. This thought was still unbelievable. She had waited a long time to be loved in return, and given up, but something in her had burst into life again when Jianyu proposed. All those feelings she had for him had not vanished. They were dormant. Unlike her typical personality, which was always full of life. So to be restored to this state, to have her hope rewarded, merely reasserted her confidence. But as it was, she would never take the circumstances for granted. Her husband would be cherished, beyond belief.
Where was Sara? Yue Lao paced back and forth in the living room of her home, which doubled as an entrance and attached itself to the kitchen without any warning. Yue looked a bit like a caged animal, the way she treaded back and forth barefoot, her braid swinging behind her. Yowai grabbed her gently, and smoothed a hand across her face. "If you do that, my dear, you will smell awful for your wedding, and your hair will be ruined. I know you don't particularly care about these things, but I am thinking of your own happiness, I assure you," Yowai murmurred, an amused smile lifting the corners of her mouth.
Yue Lao grumbled, then sighed and relaxed her shoulders. "I know, I know. Why do you always have to be so right?" she asked, in exasperation, throwing her arms around her othermother's neck and dragging her into some kind of defeated hug. Yue wasn't sure what she was doing, even after having weeks to get used to the idea of being married. A new life. She had never been the type to want to escape her life or her situation, so it was not as though this was her chance to change. She was constantly changing, constantly in motion.
Maybe Van would be in Sara's company. Either way, Yue Lao took a deep breath and sat herself down at the kitchen table. Chichi fluttered in and started to undo her hair, brushing it, some red blossoms on the table. They smelled faintly good, though less sweet and more a sort of enticing depth to their smell. After this would be other primping, and Yue was unaccustomed to this kind of attention. For this, she would need her friends.
Apart from that, in the back of her head she wondered briefly and hoped that even those who considered her an enemy might set aside their differences to celebrate with her. Yue loved a party. And this would be no exception. Minus her worrying.

Huang sighed in the elaborate carriage that his parents had given him to ride in. Because Jianyu and Yue were of the Legion alliance, Huang's family had blessed their wedding with gift and support in their future endeavors. Never mind that Huang was the best man at the wedding, and Jianyu's friend plus being his only pupil. His mother didn't count the relationship in hand, even going as far as to say Huang couldn't attend that Huang's brother would instead take his place. Thank the Goddess that Xiao had not only declined coldly but told their mother that Huang would be going and that was it.
So he was dressed in the finest silk attire, plus riding a fancy coach brimmed full of wedding gifts. Yeah, sighing just didn't seem to cover it.
Pulling up, he exited the coach discreetly, letting it and the gifts get driven away before walking into the temple. He had promised his friend to stay on good behavior, especially if Bataar the Noble b*****d showed up. He would put his difference aside for one Night for Jianyu and Yue. He honestly wished them the best after all.
Huang walked quietly through the temple seeking the first person he wanted to see, Hearing her voice he headed to the door where he could hear here before knocking.
"Lady Yue?" he called out politely to her, personally he wanted to see Jianyu first but he had a special gift for Yue and wanted to give it to her before she walked down the wedding path with Jianyu.

The day may have been pleasant for most everyone else, but for the Mongolian man it was pure agony, for today it was worse than ever before. The thing he'd assumed to be a cold hadn't been. It was something much worse, and there was no healer who knew how to fix it. A virus, they all said, shaking their heads in pity. The captain looked to have been reduced to a shell of his former self, but he refused every attempt of others to help him. That was true especially today. He wasn't going to let Jianyu see him weak.
Leaning heavily on an ornate(and rather badass-looking) cane, Bat approached the house, wincing as he noted that Jianyu was right in the doorway. He'd wanted to hide his means of help(the cane, of course) before walking in to find the other man, but he had no such luck. If he were lucky, he might get to put it down as some new sort of weapon, although the truth was that he could barely walk, let alone mount a flight of stairs capably. He was severely weakened.
The Mongol approached the doorway and placed the cane near it, trying not to pant too horribly. Jianyu had just walked into the house, and perhaps he hadn't seen him. That would be lucky. "Hey-- wait, you idiot." he shouted, gasping for air and taking a moment to discreetly clutch at his chest.
He was not going to let Jianyu see the state that he was in. He had to straighten himself up, and now. That much was imperative.

Kiran checked over his formal clothing one more time as he arrived at the temple. He didn't want to bring embarrassment to the happy couple by attending the wedding with some unsightly stain on his clothes. After the clothes had been cleaned, he had made sure to keep them away from anything that might ruin them before leaving for the wedding, but he kept catching himself checking them just in case.
As he entered the temple grounds, Kiran could hardly believe this day was here. The news of Jianyu and Yue getting married had been quite a shock for him, but he was happy for them, especially Yue who had been a good friend to him despite her Legion allegiance. And he had never really hated Jianyu. He wasn't happy when Jianyu tried to make him clean the back rooms at his family's tattoo shop, but if not for that, Kiran wouldn't have been inspired to get the tattoo that now graced his backside. And he had admiration for the skills and talents that Jianyu had displayed to him during their encounters. Having gotten to meet and know both of them only made him happier for them as a couple. But what a surprise! Kiran never realized that they felt that way toward each other, and now they were getting married.
Knowing that both bride and groom were Legionnaires, Kiran suspected to see a lot of fellow Legionnaires attending the wedding. A wary chill of a feeling started to grow inside him at the prospect of being completely outnumbered by Legionnaires. He had no intention of starting any sort of fight today, not wanting to ruin Yue and Jianyu's special day. But he wondered how many other Nobles might attend. At least, if there was another Noble for him to hang out with, he wouldn't feel as awkward at the wedding.
Kiran glanced about the temple grounds, taking in all the decorations set up for the wedding. "Hm, where should I go?" he mumbled to himself in uncertainty. This was his first time at a wedding, and he didn't really know all the special protocols that guests were supposed to follow. He shifted the scroll painting under his arm, wondering if he might find Yue before the wedding. His gift wasn't anything extravagant, just a simple wall hanging painting of Cherry Tree Hill that his sister had done some time ago. He half wondered if he should quickly sneak out to the market and pick up a little something else to give along side the painting. Weddings and romance were completely foreign subjects for him.

There had been a fight such as the Xia household had not seen in years. It had been absolutely futile, Shin had known that before she'd even approached her father that morning to protest his orders to her, but she couldn't simply follow blindly as she always did, not on this. There had been no chance of changing the older lunarian's mind, but even knowing that, she had had to try.
Weddings were joyous occasions, even for those she despised, and while she believed everyone deserved to be happy in their life, she didn't not appreciate that happiness being paraded in front of her. Not when her heart was still raw, and certainly not when one of the happy two was a most hated rival.
It didn't matter, Shin's father would not budge. She was to attend, watch, study. Use this opportunity to gather what information she could on the high standing Lunarians of the Legion alliance and cement any alley she could of her own noble faction. It was sound reasoning, Shin even agreed, but she knew who she would be seeing there, and she was loathed to willing place herself in that company again. Her thoughts and opinions didn't matter. Her arguments fell on deaf ears. She was going, but she was not happy about it.
Blush falls of flawless silk was bundled artfully at the back of her head with careful strands left to lure the eye to the dark skin and shoulder and cheek. A few flowers in peridote and citrine tucked behind the tall line of her ear. Her attire was appropriately elegant. A silk cheongsam in turquoise and greens that brought out the color in her fins and scales. Full length and tailored to fit like a glove, it was paired with a simple silk drape. It did not match the look of absolute dread that sat on pretty noble features.
Her gift had been a bottle of wine from the Xia family's private collection, and she'd been quick to discard it with the other gifts for the happy couple upon her arrival. slipping back towards the entrance of the grand temple and out into the lovely courtyard to one side. She didn't really wish to see the arrival of the other guests, knowing full well who would be among them. That legion b*****d was always, would always be the absolute last person she ever wanted to see. She would delay the inevitable moment as long as humanly possible.

Ehuang was running around in a complete frenzy.
"Where are the flowers for Chuntao? Jinjing, take that pin off of your chest, it doesn't match, Liqiu, why are you holding that vase? Put it down and go get dressed, we've only got an hour and a half left to prepare, and go get Mingzhu while you're at it, NO JINGGUO, YOU ARE NOT WEARING THAT KINDLY GO AND CHANGE - "
"Mother," Jianyu said patiently, still leaning against the doorway, where he had paused. "I don't care what Jingguo and Jinhai wear to the wedding."
The two cross-dressing twins looked satisfied. Ehuang merely looked harassed, shooting her son a pointed look. "Just because all you can think of is the wedding night does not mean we are not going to do this properly."
Jianyu sputtered for a few moments, attempting to come up with an accurate retort, but when nothing came to mind, he settled for giving her an exasperated look. Ehuang looked smug as she turned back to reprimanding the two brothers, both of them clad in sweeping gold cheongsams.
"Hey-- wait, you idiot!"
The voice was undeniably familiar. Jianyu quickly turned around, a wide smile crossing his face. "Bataar!" he cried, stepping out to meet his best friend and throwing his arms around the Mongol in a friendly embrace.
Though he knew that Bataar was not exactly one for sentimentalities, and that both knew Huang would be there as well, Jianyu was quite happy to see Bataar before the wedding anyway. He had rather hoped he would, after all, and it seemed like Bataar had managed to make it early after all, despite his many grumblings.
Jianyu clapped a hand on the other man's shoulder. "I'm so glad you're here!"

Early had been the only real option once he'd realized how hard it would to be to get to Jianyu's house. He'd already been walking for twice the amount of time that it would have normally taken him, and he was much worse for wear. The man managed a weak sort of grin and tottered slightly as Jianyu hugged him. "Yep. Here I am." he declared, finding that the very thought of it was important. He'd made it, and he thought that it might be even more important to himself than it was to Jianyu. He could still do some things, after all.
All the same, he was beginning to feel a little on the unstable side, and when Jianyu clapped his hand on his shoulder rather heartily, he found that it was far too much and that, combined with the velocity of the hug, it had ******** him over-- royally.
The man let out a sort of hopeless gasp as his shoulder connected with the doorway, realizing a little too late that he was falling, and hard. He scrabbled, to say the least, but the effort to walk there had been enough to take its toll and infect his physical movements with a sort of unbelievable lethargy. He finally just allowed himself to slide down and land with a thump, panting unnecessarily(in his opinion) and shaking a little(he hoped it wasn't noticeable).
"M'fine." he huffed, trying to come to terms with his breathing. "Let's just sit here." he added, his sharp stare imploring Jianyu not to comment on the absolute oddity. He didn't think he would be able to take it if his best friend knew just how sick he was. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew the subject was unavoidable, and that it would have to come out sooner or later, but he was going to do his best to resist.
He wetted his lips and blinked, swiping a bit of cold perspiration from his forehead. It was beginning to grow obvious that he would not be able to attend his friend's wedding, but Bataar was choosing to be obstinate just now. Surrender would have meant he was yielding to whatever was wrong with him.

Some hours after pacing the living room, her mother had pointed out that she should be at the temple, as that was where Sara would be. So they packed up Yue's dress, though her hair was already made, and snuck her over to the temple. Yue Lao stood outside, staring up in awe, her jaw open. They were getting married here. She sucked in a breath, folded her arms across her chest, and chewed the inside of her cheek. Lately she was feeling occasionally overcome with emotion, which was a new and relatively unpleasant sensation.
Without further ado, she was ushered inside, before anyone could spy her. Her mothers were on either side. Yue kept looking back and forth, as if Sakn or Sara would appear suddenly. Instead, once she was inside, she heard a knock and a familiar voice though she had not been expecting it. No one else had ever called her Lady Yue but Huang-Fu. Yue's face lit up, and she knocked a table over leaping up from her chair to let him into the room.
Her othermother stopped her, and said, "Yue Lao, it is your wedding day; please sit, dignity for one day will not kill you. As much as you are allergic," she teased. Yowai let her go, pushing her gently back towards the chairs. She draped herself across a table, instead, grumbling.
"If it's my wedding, why do I have to be dignified?" she lamented, as Huang-Fu was let in. Yowai bowed to Huang-Fu and smiled softly, ushering him in.
"Please, welcome; if my daughter is this happy to see you, you must be welcome, assuredly," Yowai greeted him. Yue got up, brushing herself off.
"That's Huang-Fu, Yowai," Yue told her. Chichi was looking at Yowai with a tenderness which Yue could hardly grasp: that was the first time Yowai had called Yue her daughter in any kind of public situation. The mothers could not be happier on this day.
Chichi approached and greeted Huang-Fu warmly. "Huang-Fu, pleased to meet you; we're Yue's mothers. I'm Chishio, and this is Yowai Hone," she said, gesturing to them both. They would, naturally, screen ever visitor Yue had that day. Because they were nosy, but also hospitable. Yue, now exasperated by the semblance of structure, escaped over to Huang-Fu and hugged him tightly before letting go. Well, wasn't it her nature, after all?
"What brings you here? Is Jianyu okay?" she asked, her eyes narrowing in concern all of a sudden. She pursed her lips, thinking. Was Jianyu nearby, or...?
Yowai seemed to perk up suddenly. She excused herself, navigating through the temple halls. She found Kiran alone. Although she did not know his name, she recognized him: once, he had been to their home, though he had not entered. "Good afternoon; I believe you are a friend of my daughter?" she asked, tentatively, folding her hands into her sleeves.

Nivritti wouldn’t miss the largest event going on this fall, but she would be there for business. The girl was curious as they why they didn’t choose to buy flowers from her, and her gardens. The arrangements usually spoke for themselves. Nivy was a bit arrogant when it came to her gardens; and she wanted to see just who had sniped that business. Not knowing that the grooms own staff had done it themselves with homegrown flowers.
Pulling her deep purple hair back from her face Nivritti had to make sureshe looked like she belonged. She had never met any of these people before, and regardless of that, first impressions were everything. But not that she thought about it… She looked at herself in the mirror, her arms over her head as she was tying her hair. The two getting married were both Legion. One was of higher standing if she was right…
Her face contorted slightly as she mulled over this. Maybe she could sneak out from the wedding early and take a look around his home. Not like anyone would notice her being there in the first place. But, if someone she worked with in the past recognized her, this could get a bit messy. Her web of secrets was all around her, she saw her contacts everywhere she went… Shaking her head hard, her hair fall out and just bouncing back into its place against her back. No, this was a wedding. Even she didn’t want to ruin that for someone. Karma could be a b***h. Her eyes stared back at herself for a moment, and then she turned to go clean up.
Today was a lovely day for a wedding. Nivy had to double check her formal Sari to make sure she had pleated the front right before she left, causing her to reach the temple a tad later than planned, a gift in hand of a large vase with a formal arrangement of flowers. Her eyes caught sight of two gentle men walking in, all dressed for the wedding. Least she was in the right place, not having been to this temple before. Quietly making her way in, the large temple took Nivy by surprise. And it echoed the voices of the people talking, not too far off.

Today was the big day. In all honesty she could not wait, excitement was pulsing through her veins to the point were the young conduit could hardly control herself! This morning had been a bit of a disaster and the teal haired Mongolian found herself actually having to sneak away for her duties in order attend the wedding. She might have had work to do at the temple in which she studied and practised her art, but she felt like the wedding of one of her best friend was more important by far, ( maybe this was a example on how Yue's nature was rubbing off on her, she had noticed her and her friend had not spent a lot of time together recently, it was something Sara was determined to correct! ).
Today she was wearing a quite decorative traditional dress and hat, after all she wanted to make a effort for the only and only. Her hair was down by her waist, straight and long as always. Her fringe was exactly how Van had done it, made to cover and hide the scaring on her face. All in all she thought she did a pretty good job getting ready, to say she only had ten minuets to prepare before having to literally run away. She had made it, that was all that mattered. Now she was here it was all beginning to feel a little like a dream. Yue was getting married.
When she reached the temple she was amazed by its size, her pale eyes looked around to take everything in, the music, the decorations, the lights, it was all just so breathtaking. Clearly this place was meant to impress and to be used to celebrate special occasions (such as today). It had a totally different feel to the temple she was accustomed to - mainly used to treat the wounded and train healers. In short, this place was beautiful, like something out of a fairytale if not better. She looked around at all the faces, some she knew, some she didn't. It was still hard for her to beleive that Yue was getting married, everything felt a little like a blur - though now the day was here, the sense of surrealism was even stronger. She asked herself how becoming a wife might change her friend, if it did at all. Today was life-changing, she wondered if she was feeling the pressure of that. She somehow doubted it, Yue was not the type to get cold feet about anything.
She had noticed the purple haired Lunarian in front of her, she was not a face she recognised - however she could not help put give her a warm look she gave as she wandered past, her eyes welcoming. Sara was in a good mood today which could be predicated from the large smile painted across her face. "Have a lovely day, your dress is really pretty!" She complemented her in greeting. She turned to give a small polite bow before darting off on her way. She hoped she could find Yue before the wedding started, she needed to deliver the wedding gift she had promised. Though admittedly she had no idea where to start. This place was huge, finding Yue would be near impossible on her own.
As she explored she found someone who she had not seen in a while, her eyes lighting up as she moved towards him. "Kiran." She called as she waved, the long cloth which hung off her body swirling behind her as she moved, her beads and bells jingling a enthusiastic song. The last time they had met was at the kite festival, him and Yue seemed to really get along. She thought that maybe the two could go looking for Yue together! No doubt he wanted to wish his best to the magenta eyed bride. He might even have his own gift for her.
It seemed like he already had some company, Sara turned to face the woman who had asked him if he knew her daughter only a moment before she ran over, it did not take a genius to realise who this person was. Yue had often spoken about her mothers and even though Sara had never met them in person, she felt like no introduction was needed. "Yowai, I mean... I am Sara, I do not know if Yue has talked about me - but she has talked about you." She stated with a low bow, a small blush coming across her face as she talked. If she had mistaken her this could be horribly embarrassing. Though she was pretty certain that she had the right person. She looked at Kiran before resting her hand on his shoulder.
"Are you looking for Yue too?" She asked with a small smile.

(I ... have never tried RPing before ........ >A< Sorry if this is shite)
It hadn't been easy. Tian had spent the entire morning doing any myriad of acts that, in his opinion, made for quite the adventure: squirming past guards, shimmying along rooftops, scurrying though the shadows.... all just to get a look at the wedding. Tian was excited. Nobles and legionaires all dressed to the nines! Lanterns enough to light the entire city! And that was before the bribe and groom even arrived at the temple! It was prime entertainment, and Tian had every intention of compiliing stories to regale his friends with afterwards. I hope there are fireworks, he mused. Tian couldn't resist scanning the sky, despite every instinct of his that they'd save the fireworks for the evening, and that even if there were night flowers, surely he would've heard them before he saw them.
Tian's belly rumbled greedily. No, no time for that, he reasoned with his stomach. Tempting as food was, leaving the safety of the rooftops - and potentially being discovered and manhandled out the doors - wasn't worth the risk. Fancy occasions like these generally did not send invitations out to peasants running odd jobs to pay for a stable to sleep in. No, no, he was perfectly fine on the rooftops. All he had to do was sit tight and enjoy the festivities. All in all, it was a fine deal, Tian thought. But, he conceded, the experience would've been much nicer if he'd remembered to swipe some bread before he started the day.

Kiran was busy taking in the sights of the temple all decked in a fantastical arrangement of lights and flowers and other decorations for the day's special occasion. He hoped he, at least, looked like he belonged and knew where he was going, though in truth, he was completely lost on where to find anyone in the large temple. It surprised him when a woman that he didn't recognize approached him. But her question made him realize who she must be.
He bowed deeply to her. "Good afternoon," he greeted with only a hint of stiffness. He had only been to Yue's house once, and even then, he hadn't gone inside it or even met any of her family. Realizing that this was Yue's mother and they were only meeting for the first time on the day of her wedding made only a little more self-conscious than usual. "I am Kiran Tambe, and yes, I am a friend of Yue's."
Someone shouting his name drew attention off the woman briefly. "Ah, Sara," he greeted with a smile as she approached him. He was glad for a familiar face as it helped him to relax. Some of the awkwardness about attending a Legion wedding melted away. As long as there were some familiar faces, and ones that he was on good terms with, he thought he could enjoy the wedding without feeling like he might get jumped by a group of Legionnaires who were unhappy with the presence of a Noble in their midst.
Yowai? So that was Yue's mother's name. In the time that he had known her, Yue hadn't talked much about her parents to him. He hadn't wanted to embarrass himself by admitting out loud that he hadn't even known his friend's mother's name.
Kiran nodded to Sara's question. "Yes, well, I only have a little gift to give her," he answered, indicating the wall scroll that he carried. "Though it's not really anything much. I'm still wondering if I should sneak out of a moment and pick up something else as well." He reached up and scratched the back of his head. "I don't really know what's proper and appropriate for wedding gifts."

When the invitation for Jianyu and Yue's wedding had arrived at the temple, Xiu had been ecstatic. After that last fight, things had been a bit tense and he wasn't sure where he stood with the couple. Now he knew though. Smiling to himself as he remembered opening the envelope, Xiu was pleased that he was now walking through the streets of Lunaria towards the biggest event of the season. He couldn't say that his outfit was particularly nice enough for the wedding, but his robes were clean and pressed with no ink stains of the hems of the sleeves. Who'd have thought that he'd ever find use for his formal scholar robes?
"No Bai, we don't have time." Xiu chided the big tiger gently, patting the creatures head when he had stopped. Already Xiu was at the entrance of the wedding and he could hear the murmuring of voices from inside. He wasn't sure why Bai had stopped, but the huge bengal tiger was sitting back on his haunches, his head craning to look up at one of the nearby roofs. Xiu looked up as well for a moment, following the tiger's gaze. He wasn't sure what Bai was looking. All Xiu saw was an empty rooftop.
"C'mon Bai," Xiu urged again, however the the tiger merely chuffed at him and laid down at the foot of the building, hidden in the line of shade it gave. Frowning at his friend, Xiu merely shrugged and wished him a good nap before continuing on, clutching the wedding gift he'd brought tightly to his chest. He hoped to find Jianyu and Yue quickly, or at least someone else he knew. It'd be nice to re-connect with everyone now that he was back in town from his three month sabbatical.
((It was beautiful Khele! I couldn't resist leaving Tian with mah tiger. /shot))

Sakn hadn't meant to be late. It wasn't really his fault either. His mother had caught him at the door just as he was leaving, and like a raging harpy, she had swooped down upon him and nitpicked him right out of the clothing he thought he would be wearing. After dragging him inside by the fin, Bopha had continued to undress and redress her son. She even dared to do his hair. The redhead did not enjoy it, and when she demanded he wear a traditional sarong, the fighter down-right refused, which of course led to more arguments.
Not surprising really.
But now he was here, dressed in royal blues and pale golds, his wedding attire clean and pristine. In his hand was a small pouch as well, a gift for the newly weds.
If he ever found them. Sakn gapped at the high ceilings, beautiful buildings and wonderous decorations as he wandered through the temples. He had glimpsed Bataar walking up earlier, and had seen Kiran speaking with another woman and Sara(how strange to see everyone together), but he had yet to find Yue, and that was who he wished to see.
The redhead fiddled with his braid as he walked, eyes flickering back and forth as he looked for his friend, and more recently, his half-sister. It was strange to think of Yue as a sibling, but when their parents had revealed the information, Sakn had to admit it wasn't as shocking as it could have been. Yue was feisty and eager and energetic, much like himself (if not a little more wild). It had been when she had asked him to walk her down the isle that stopped his heart. The idea of being asked to do something so important was a surprise to Sakn, but he had quickly agreed.
Of course, to walk her down the isle, he had to find her first, right?
Sakn growled and huffed, because really, this place was too big! How hard could it be to find a bride in a temple!? He was just abut to start yelling her name when he heard familiar voices drifting from down the hall. The redhead grinned and picked up his pace. The woman was Yue, he knew that, but the male voice was slightly unfamiliar, and there was another female as well. Maybe one of Yue's mothers? He had never met them before, so it could be for all he knew.
"Yue," he sing-songed as he came up the hall, "Yuyu, don' tell me yu're hidin' from y'ur brother!", he liked the way that sounded. Brother. How strange to go from no siblings to having one. He slowly came up to the door, but didn't peek in. He didn't know the rules of weddings, after all. "Yuyu, can I come in?" he asked, polite and over-excited all at once.
