Sorry, sorry, been busy.

Anyways, as interesting as this profession is, I don't think I can approve it. First of all, both base benefits are rather godmoddish. "For the Heart" pretty much grants a slightly higher bonus than medium chakra just for claiming some nearby RPC is your "Lover". And that's assuming you have low chakra, since it's even more if you have a higher base bonus. Besides the strength of the bonus, it also makes little sense. Just because this person is important to me, my chakra supply is suddenly larger than normal? It just doesn't work.

From the Heart, on the other hand, allows you to use free jutsu. Sure, it's limited, but it still doesn't make sense that somehow you're suddenly able to toss a jutsu out there without paying for it at all.

The weaknesses on the other hand, are pretty interesting. Reducing the chakra supply can easily be explained as you just not having the strength, apparently emotionally, to tap your full power.

Rule breaker is a bit odd. It seems to emphasize that the character must desire to save this person strongly enough to ignore rules or orders to do it, yet doesn't require that you even care about this person at all. Honestly I think it'd work better without the rule part, making it just being your "Knightly" desire to save people. Besides that, the permanent increase until the job is done has to go. Using that, one could claim that they have that bonus for an entire mission or battle, because the fight/mission is to save someone. I'd make it a limited boost usable for one post, similar to the "Mighty Rush".

What is the combo attack in Back-to-Back about? It seems to imply a jutsu or taijutsu combo, but by the rest of the description is more linked to just coordinating your attacks.

Shield of the Knight should be made as a jutsu, not a rank benefit.

Camaraderie grants a permanent one rank attack boost just for fighting with an ally... Rather overpowered.

And the last one once again allows the free jutsu usage...

All in all, this profession is highly over powered compared to the rest. It does have high requirements on some of it's bonuses, but all of them are easily bypassed in various ways. Especially considering anyone intending to take this profession will have plans already on how to do so. (The easiest bypass is to simply take the Soma no Ko bloodline and claim your second RPC as the important friend for all the benefits.)

I think it could work with some editing, but it needs to be toned down quite a lot. Biggest point of all, there are no free rides, such as magical chakra increase and free jutsu.

I haven't been able to update the profession since I last brought it up but after doing some polishing and alterations to it I believe it is ready for the application process. I also quoted it below for convenience.

Martin Spiralwave
Hunter

User Image

Base Benefit:
Shatterpoints:All hunter-ninja possess a thorough and intimate knowledge of human anatomy and are thus capable of reading body language with unerring accuracy and inflict debilitating injuries against an opponent by targeting weak points in the body.
[Damage inflicted by Taijutsu is increased by one rank]

Tracking FocusHunter-ninja are highly skilled tracking and are thus considered extremely perceptive in forensic analysis.
[Sensory techniques are treated as one rank stronger (or if this does not apply), extend the range by .5.]

Weaknesses:

1) Weaker Genjutsu: Due to their focus towards tracking and neutralization-based techniques, some hunter-nin take a little bit longer to learn the other primary shinobi skill and are less proficient in it's use. [+2 posts to master Genjutsu as well as one rank penalty to Genjutsu strength]

2) Weak-Bodied Hunter-nin are not used to taking damage, preferring to strike from a distance or while concealed. (When struck by a damaging jutsu of equal or greater rank, the shinobi receives an additional rank in damage inflicted).

Rank Benefits

Genin Benefits

1) Environmental Awareness: A hunter ninja must be able to track targets even when they cannot see or hear them. As a result, many develop the ability to sense the movement and presence of those around them with great accuracy for up to 15 meters. This makes sneaking up on a hunter-ninja extremely difficult without concealing one's physical presence.
[Able to track general movement and physical presence of those in a 15 meter vicinity]

2)Body Language Perception: Some hunter-nin are proficient in the art of body reading and are able to predict a targets movement with greater accuracy than a typical hunter-nin. [Sharper reflexes when target visible, rivaling the sharingan in perceptive ability(up to Jounin rank)]

Chuunin Benefits

1) Refined Extrasensory Perception: Hunter-nin with an acute awareness of their surroundings typically develop the ability to sense chakra but with a level of precision that escapes the traditional sensor. In addition to being able to distinguish individual chakra signatures across fair distances and determine their current movement and quantity of their chakra signature. Their ability to sense movement around them has been honed to the point where they can easily track and predict the movement of multiple individuals around them based on physical and chakra presence. The most distinguished feat of this benefit is the ability to differentiate between clones with great ease and the ability to detect slight variations in chakra flow by scrutinizing a target (as a post action.
[Enhanced sensor capabilities for up to 2 kilometers, precise tracking capabilities].

2) Shadowless Flight: Some Hunter-nin are able to quickly engage a target without warning due to their proficiency in a high-speed movement technique known as Shadowless Flight, that enables them to rapidly accelerate from a rest position to a state beyond their usual maximum speed by briefly and excessively enhancing their movement speed. It can be used to close gaps or simply arrive at another location without any sort of indication, rivaling the speed of Shunshin.

Jounin Benefits

1) Hunters Precision:A select minority of hunter-nin possess a high degree of skill with projectile weapons and techniques. Those select few briefly enter a state of intense focus when using a projectile technique/instrument allowing them to precisely calculate the position and trajectory of a target and release the projectile at high speeds with such a high degree of accuracy that dodgding, even for a shinobi with Ushio-class reflexes, is incredibly difficult. Their skill with projectiles also grants all projectile attacks the 'Homing' modifier, allowing them to veer at moderate angles around obstacles even at high speeds.
[Enemies can only dodge a projectile attack if their speed and reflexes are at least one rank higher than the hunter-nin's]

2)Hunters Clairvoyance:Some hunter-nin have greatly refined their tracking abilities to the point where they are able to accuratel predict the past movements of individuals in an area via the strength and location of residual chakra signatures. They even possess the rare ability to read the residual chakra signatures with such precision that they are able to determine the owners thoughts and motivations at that particular time, allowing the hunter to pick up on trails that have gone cold.

Learning Info
N/A [Dependent on Weakness chosen HOWEVER, anyone who picks both weaknesses only has to pay 2 extra post to learn ANY technique(that cannot be increased or decreased in any way) and +3 extra posts to justify learning a Kinjutsu]

Firstly, I am sorry for the length of time you've been ignored. However, professions are currently under massive revamp and throwing more into the mix could well be suicide. (This thread is mainly for giving us stuff to work with, not for quick approval and addition like the rest.)

There are certainly some parts of this that could be mixed into other professions during the revamp however, so rest assured that it will be taken into consideration.

Not a problem. With the profession revamp will it be possible to switch into another profession however?

Depending on the circumstances. The change would still have to match the character.

Cook

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Base Benefit:

Fire Hardened
( Skin is naturally resistant to heat, and hardened against attacks. +1 to defence against Katon techniques, and +.5 against regular taijutsu attacks. )

Chakra Focus Being that they've mastered cooking normally, these shinobi are also skilled enough that by pouring their own chakra into the food slowly while creating it, they can make it even more tasty and rejuvinating.
( Can focus chakra into food to give it the benefit of recovering anyone's chakra at an increased rate. + 2% of maximum reserve per post of eating. )

Weaknesses:

1) Spatula: Only Weapon I Need Believing that all other weapons are obsolete and that the perfect weapon is found in the kitchen, these ninja reject any weapon styles that don't utilize the power of the spatula. Or any other kitchen untensil.
( The user only uses weapon styles that require a weapon one would find in the kitchen, such as knives, spatulas, forks, spoons, spifes, knorks, and the all important staple... The spork! )

2) Overburdened The ninja in question carries all the untensils they'd need to cook a four course meal with them at all times. While padded so as to not make noise, this just overencumbers them completely.
( -1 rank in evasivness at all times. A good cook never abondons his kitchen! )

Rank Benefits

Genin Benefits

1) Secret Spice Bombs Every good cook knows that in order to truly have a good attack, you have to have a distraction. Every cook also knows that there are those out there who can find someone solely on smell along, so regular smoke bombs are simply out of the question.
[ Every cook has a secret spice. This gives the user the ability to use a spice bomb which working much like a smoke bomb covers the area in smoke. However unlike a smoke bomb, it also covers all scents, and burns the eyes of anyone not used to the secret seasoning. So basically friend or foe, they can't tell where you just went. The spice cloud remains for 2 posts after it's initial use. ]

2) Suiji Jutsu Every cook has several secrets to creating a masterpiece up their sleeves. These shinobi take it a step further.
[ Shinobi with this benefit are capable of utilizing all of the Suijiton techniques, except for the Steamy Noodle Barrage. ]

Chuunin Benefits

1) Simmering Temper The ninja in question has become a kettle himself, capable of boiling noodles inside of his own body. Using this to his advantage, the ninja can injest chakra dough, and utilize a technique once per battle that no one else, unless they took this same path, can use, or even imitate.
[ This benefit gives the user acess to a secret technique that only Cook ninjas can ever hope to master, the dreaded and feared Steamy Noodle Barrage. This technique isn't mimicable, even if using the Sharingan.

Guildwide
Steamy Noodle Barrage
Rank:
C
Type:
Nin | Offencive
Element:
Suijiton ( Culinary Arts Technique )
Range:
Ten feet
Description:

The user begins to change shade from their normal shade to a deep red, reguardless of previous color. They then open their mouth, which reveals thousands of noodles. The noodles them reach out and hit the opponent, enveloping them in nasty disgustingness. While this technique isn't very painful, having around 100 pounds of noodles hitting you all at once can stagger nearly anyone. The noodles dry quickly, and are capable of imobilizing an opponent for a single post should the hit have been direct. ]

2) Tea Kettle, Loud and Hot
Capable of expelling Steam from their mouths, causing horrid burns, Rapid increase then decrease in temperature, and weakening earthy structures. The Steam can be used as a smoke screen for double the chakra, half the potency of the burns caused, and lasts for a number of posts equal to that of a smoke bomb.

Jounin Benefits

1) Fire Woks Just like most jounin weapon masters can redirect an element, these shinobi are capable of completely deflecting any Katon technique with nothing more than their trusty wok.
( It costs half of the chakra cost of the technique, however, it can only be deflected, so it can't be launched back at the opponent. This technique has a 1 post cool down. )

2) Sashimi Slasher
Capable of using a technique to slash a target 20 times in rapid succession, each cut precisely an inch deep, and over all releasing enough blood to make the target woozy. If arms are used to block, hands become difficult to move. The attack requires that the target be more reactive by one rank to dodge half, faster and more reactive than the user by one rank to dodge all of them.

Learning Info

+3 to learn Genjutsu techniques
-1 post to learn any Suiton or Katon techniques.

This entire thing is able to be changed, this is just a prototype if you think people would play this class. ( I think it is pretty good, since you can deflect Katon, or bleed an opponent at Jonin rank. )

Also, I'd like to say that the Hunter class proposed by Martin is awesome. >.>

Nintaijutsu

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Base Benefit:
Increased Chakra Pool: Due to Ninjutsu Specialist's heavy dependence on the ability to use jutsu, they train themselves to increase their chakra reserves beyond that of the average nin.
(Increases base chakra modifier by +2/10.)

Strong Bodied: Taijutsu Specialists prefer to focus first on strength more than the techniques of a weapon style, spending more time toughening up their bodies for training to come rather than instead training through the pain. This results in a shinobi whose strength outshines those around them.
(Physical strength of the Taijutsu Specialist is increased by half a rank [+.5 boost])

Ninjutsu Training: Ninjutsu specialists have a higher understanding of how jutsu work allowing them to learn higher level Ninjutsu than other shinobi.
(Can learn one additional ninjutsu up to three ranks above the user.)

Muscle Memory: Through their constant training, a Taijutsu Specialist's body becomes adept at learning new moves quickly, at a much more advanced rate than their counterparts.
(Can learn one stage beyond RPC's rank in one Taijutsu style.)

Muscle Memory: Through their constant training, a Taijutsu Specialist's body becomes adept at learning new moves quickly, at a much more advanced rate than their counterparts.
(Can learn one stage beyond RPC's rank in one Taijutsu style.)

Rank Benefits

Genin Benefits

1) 1) Clone Specialist: Ninjutsu Specialists often work best when teamed with themselves. Their reliance on Clones, teamed with their natural understanding of Ninjutsu allows some rare geniuses the ability to create cheaper clones, as well as understand more complicated versions.
(Can learn Clone Jutsu one rank above the user provided all other requirements are met. All Clone jutsu are also one rank lower in chakra cost. (Clone jutsu do not count against the user's max number of higher ranking jutsu.))

2) 2) Pain Tolerance: Taijutsu specialists see far more pain than most other professions due to their focus on close combat, as well as the use of their body as their weapon. Through their training many specialists can learn to ignore severe pain from injuries. This allows them the ability to resist most physical tortures, as well as last longer and keep a clearer head in battle.
(Cannot completely ignore injuries more significant than a broken limb. Ignoring Injuries may result in causing more damage, for instance walking on a broken leg could render your leg completely useless.)

Chuunin Benefits

1) 1) Chakra Regeneration: With enough focus, some ninjutsu specialists are capable of accelerating their natural chakra regeneration to incredible rates, becoming able to recharge their chakra even during battle.
(After one full post of using no chakra, the specialist begins to regain chakra every post for as long as they do not use any chakra. This rate begins at one point, and increases every second post by one point, until a maximum of five. (Post 2 +1, Post 4 +2, Post 6 +3, etc.))

2) 1) Muscle Augmentation: Taijutsu Specialists, fighting in close quarters at all times, require great strength and speed, hopefully surpassing their enemies own. As this is not always possible nor guaranteed, some learn to augment their bodies with chakra in order to even the odds.
(The user channels chakra into the muscles in a specific area of their body (Torso, head, arms, legs etc), enhancing that limb's strength or speed by 1 rank for the remainder of the post. [Cooldown 2 posts])

Jounin Benefits

1) 2) Multi-Casting: The ninjutsu specialist has dedicated his training to being able to cast jutsu quickly in order to overwhelm his enemies. In doing so he has learned to cast a jutsu multiple times simultaneously, despite only performing the seals required once.
(Able to cast a single jutsu up to four times simultaneously for jutsu two or more ranks below the user, and twice for jutsu one rank below. Each cast must be paid for individually. This cannot be used on A or higher ranked jutsu. Hand seals are required when using this benefit, regardless of whether the user needs them normally or not. This benefit can only be used once in a single post regardless of other benefits, and has a one post cooldown.)

2) 2) Subtle Fist: Telegraphing an attack is a fatal mistake to many taijutsu users, as there are many ways to read one's movement. To prevent this, some Taijutsu Specialists perform extra training, learning to remove any unnecessary movements from their attacks, and even telegraph feints to confuse their enemy, making them much harder to predict.
(-1 rank to enemy reaction speed, Traits such as Sharingan can no longer predict the specialist's movements.)
