A few footsteps echoed from the enterence of the cave, making a small pitter-patter noise, as if it were the mere whisper of a few raindrops falling onto the solid coldness of the ground. The light of two pale silver eyes shimmered faintly in the current shock of darkness from within the cave, though the darkness was something she was used to. Though her eyes were brightenned with life in their depths, they also appeared as if they had been glazed over with a smoky layer of melted snow--the girl who they belonged to was blind, her entire world being made up of one dark mass, although she wasn't bothered by it. She had grown used to it. The smooth features of the pretty, delicate-seeming face that belonged to Alice were relaxed yet cold, flat and seeming to not give away even the whisper of an emotion. Her arms streched out in front of her as her delicate fingers brushed across the cave walls, her feet moving across the ground tentatively as she tried to sense her surroundings. The girl's sightless eyes stared forward blankly, her hair's tresses of soft golden ringlets kissing the back of her neck as they fell past her shoulders in a cascade of blonde. Alice thought she heard a whisper--a noise so soft that would be most closely related to cashmere if it were ever woven into a fabric. The single whisper quickly grew into a fast stream of other whispers as more joined in. Won't these ghosts ever leave me alone?, Alice thought to herself with the brisk shake of her head. She was not an average human, but had been born a necromancer--a sorcer-like person who posessed the abilities to communicate with the dead and also specialize in using black magic such as voodoo. Alice had never grew a liking for the ghosts that seemed to follow her every movement, the ghosts that only she could see, and the ghosts that had always annoyed her. She couldn't actually see them since she was blind, but she could hear them perfectly as each shout and whisper they let out reached her ears. "Can't you just leave me alone for one minute?" Alice hissed at the ghosts through clenched teeth, her soft soprano voice rising an octave higher. To most ordinary people, it would probably seem as if she was talking to herself, although she wasn't. But Alice didn't care what others thought of her anyways. She began carefully moving forwards through the cave again as the whispering of the ghosts began to fade away.

Alice paused during midstep as she heard someone call out 'Who's entered my cave?', though she did not issue a reply. Instead, the slender form of her figure grew tense as her gaze grew more reserved and careful, as she tried to determine wether this person was a threat or not. Her hand flew to the silver form of a dagger hidden within one of the pockets of her ruffly black skirt, the delicate ends of her fingertips curling in a fist around the engraved handle of the blade. Alice knew that she had surprisingly quick reflexes, though lacked accuracy due to her obvious condition. Her dagger was an old fashionned 50's switch-blade, the blade instantly popping out in a blurr of silver with the mild flick of her hand. Alice stared blankly out at wherever this stranger was standing--she guessed it was somewhere in front of her, as she had listenned carefully to the quiet noise of his footsteps to determine the general direction he might be standing.
Alice remained in a calm silence the entire time, making a quick decision that he probably wasn't a threat the moment he asked if she needed help. She slipped her knife away although did not yet fully let her guard down. Alice instinctively flinched as she heard the stammer in his voice as he seemed to realize she was blind, though quickly regained her mental strength and allowed the silver irises of her sightless eyes to glare up at him, giving away an icy wave of annoyance. "Yes, I am blind. My apologies, I hope that isn't an inconvnience or anything." She responded without much thought, the bell-like chime of her delicate voice now dripping with sarcasm. Alice let out the soft whisper of a sigh, forcing her annoyance away and daintily cleared her throat. "Anyways, I was just exploring. And actually, I don't need any help." She added, trying to speak calmly rather than with the usual sarcastic edge to her voice. Alice began walking again, and though she was being reletively careful, she half-stumbled as the sharp bump of a rock caught her foot. She felt herself lurch forward, and while half-muttering a swear word under her breath, Alice managed to catch herself by grasping onto a small cleft on the side of the cave's wall. Okay, so maybe I need a little help; she thought to herself, rolling her eyes at her own mild mistake. ((Thanks ^_^))

((Oh, okay then. XD)) "Nice to meet you I guess. I'm Alice." She responded with the slight shrug of her shoulders. "And maybe help would be nice. Thanks." Alice added reluctantly, her words sliding past her lips in a soft mumble. It wasn't that she wasn't thankful for him offering to help, but it was more so that she didn't like receiving help from anyone. The last thing Alice wanted to be thought of was some damsel in distress, or a weakling who couldn't take care of themselves. And though her eyes appeared sightless, the faint fiery edge of self-determination never vanished from within their silvery depths. Her arm streched outwards as she daintily brushed the palm of her hand across the cave wall, feeling the almost metallic-like coldness it held and the rocky texture, along with each bump or indentation. Alice assumed the cave was dark inside, as most were. She liked darkness, due to the fact she had grown used to it and had lived in it her entire life. Alice didn't like the light, because she didn't know what exactly 'light' was other than a heated warmth against her skin from the rays of the sun.
Her hearing strained to hear the faint whispering of what must be ghosts, ghosts that were there and only she could hear and whose presence she could easily detect. Alice was curious as to wether they were there naturally, or wether they had just followed her like lost puppies. She didn't blame the ghosts for following her. To her, all ghosts were were souls aimlessly wandering around, lost in some sort of limbo, with no connection to the living whatsoever besides her.
Just as if she had happily waved them over--which she would probably never do--a ghost seemed to have floated up behind her. Alice paused, sensing it's presence. The ghost, along with every other ghost, felt like a cold spot tainting the air with a strange lingering sense of death. The ghost began to speak to her, rattling a chorus of questions that all had to do with family members whom it must have left when it died. "I do not know about your family, and I don't care either. Please leave me alone." Alice blurted out without thinking, speaking to the ghost which would probably be invisible to anyone else. She then shot a nervous glance in Aster's general direction. "Oh, sorry, I mean, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to someone else, I was just...." Her normally well-recited words became lost in a blurr of shaky, misplaced statements. 'Well great, he probably thinks I'm a schizofrantic too now or something', Alice thought to herself and shook her head in self-annoyance, her soft golden-blonde curls brushing across her shoulders in the same motion.

"Yeah, something like that. I guess you could also say I'm also some sort of witch or sorceress. I specialize in something called 'dark magic' which has to do with voodoo and stuff....." Alice responded, lightly shrugged her shoulders as she absentmindedly twirled a strand of blonde hair around her index finger. Her shoulders tensed in alarm as she heard the sharp crackling sound of splitting rock, the noise bouncing off the walls of the cave and echoing throughought the atmosphere. A small gasp of surprise slid through her lips, her sightless silver eyes growing wide with alarm as she prepared to leap out of the way--or in the way of the falling rocks, depending on her luck. It was long until Alice felt him pick her up and heard the final sound of the rocks crashing against the cave floor, kicking up a cloud of dust and causing her to let out the smallest sputter of a cough. Her long eyelashes fluttered almost innocently as she glanced forwards, searching for the right words to say. "Um...thank you." Alice finally said and gave the polite dip of her head. "So, since you already know what I am as a necromancer, then what are you?" She added curiously to change the subject.
