The mare grinned and batted her yes at him, quickly trying to change the mood in their conversation. "I don't mind a little biting, as long as you don't leave a scar." she winked at him again, letting him know that it was indeed a joke. "I don't mind spending a little time teaching you. If not.." she shrugged "your loss. I find it fun"
Clearing her throat, she looked at him. "I know this, but, it doesn't stop the way I feel. I've looked for them, but to avail" ((One basket was lost and given to natty and the other owner disappeared)). She would see them someday if the gods premitted it.
"I'd love to hear it" she smiled, leaning her head against a rock.

“Well I don’t like the biting actually…I find it to be a little too rough depending on how hard it is. But I can take whatever is thrown at me.”
He shrugged and looked away from her still finding it sad that she probably would never see her other two children.
“Ah I see…well if you need help in finding them I can offer some assistance. It might take awhile, but it’s kind of my job to find people.”
He nodded and sighed a little bit wondering when the hell he was going to find Adalyn.
“Well….I was born into a family where all the male’s were sent into battle. So as a foal I grew up getting trained very hard and I mean very hard. I have watched relatives die from the amount of intensive training that we go through. But anyway…I only have brothers…4 to be exact and I don’t really get to see two of them. They left the herd a long time ago and haven’t been back. But anyway….When I grew up I really was and still am unstable. I treat everyone the same whether it be male or female. I don’t like kids all that much either, but that is also because I was never exposed to them a lot. I protect them in the herd, but I don’t talk to them nor do they try to talk to me.”
He paused and sighed a bit.
“I only know battle and outside of that I follow my duty with my family. So fun isn’t an option for me, but I’m pretty loyal with whatever I do.”
He told her looking back at her and giving a slight yawn.
“I’m not the most fun Soq out there, but I’m a very loyal friend, but the thought of children….scares me a little bit.”

She sighed heavily, deciding to give up on the whole flirting thing. At least for now. This stallion really didn't know ANYTHING about it, did he?
"You find people? That must be interesting and definitely involve alot of travel. Have you been to the desert?" It was one of the places that she'd been putting off going to because of how hot she heard it was. "Are you searching for anyone at the moment? Because I would like to find them, with your help." The thought made her smile. To finally be able to see her son and other daughter again. "It wouldn't be for free. I would repay it somehow.. since it would probably take a while.."
She flipped her bangs out of her eyes again and stretched. From the sound outside, it was still raining, but not as hard as before. She glanced to the tree blocking the entrance of the cave before commenting. Her eyes focused on what lay beyond. "It must have been a really hard life, battle is never something to be taken lightly and often changes those involved..." shaking her head, she snapped out of her daze. "Wow.. children are enough to scare a hardened warrior like yourself?" she smiled widely. "Don't worry. They scare me too... Which is why I haven't had anymore.."

“It is a lot of traveling. No I haven’t been to a desert, but that is only because anyone I had to find wouldn’t dare go to a hot place like that. I was looking for my cousin Adalyn since I just found her twin brother recently, but it’s not that serious at the moment. Do you happen to know where to look first?”
He asked her flicking his tail behind himself.
“Repay me? I don’t want to be paid for anything…I know it would take awhile, but it’s my job and what I like to do.”
He nodded to her as he thought about kids again. He had been thinking about them a lot lately and he didn’t understand why. He knew he wanted a son. At least one son that would be willing to be as strong as him, but he was scared he was going to end up with all daughters.
“Yeah…I guess because I never really thought about how I would act around them. How I would treat them and so on.. You haven’t had anymore? So I’m guessing your single still?”
He asked her tilting his head a little bit.
“Why are you scared? You have already had kids. No need to be.”

Melanie shook her head slightly. "I'm not really sure. I mean, Nevara has pretty much stayed around the woods she was born, so I guess we could start around here." She was thankful for the small things. Thank goodness she never did leave or Melanie would be looking for her as well. "And really, I insist. Like I said, I could always help you with something, maybe help you find your cousin? That is if you can stand being around me a little longer." she snorted and flipped her hair.
She turned to face him and nodded in understanding. "I get it. Sometimes I feel the same way. Though, I think for me, it's more that I'm scared that I'm going to messed them up in someway. I mean, look at my daughter, she was messed up for a while after I left her. I don't know what I would do if I disappointed more. Which is why I haven't had anymore." sighing she nodded again. "Yes, I'm single. As you can tell, I'm not much to stay in one place very long so I haven't found someone that can take it." If they got to clingy, she'd leave em faster than you could say "beat it". So, there wasn't much romance in her life, ever.

"I see. What does she look like? Do you know or remember? No you don't have to help me find anyone. I told you that it's my job to find others and I will find my cousin one day. Just will take me some time."
He nodded at her as he continued to walk behind her wondering if they were going to find this Nevara right away or after a long time of searching. He didn't mind the adventure as long as they weren't looking for years on end for one mare. He usually gave up after awhile or that is what his mind would tell him to do. He followed closely behind her, keeping a very close eye on her through his skull mask already giving this mare respect. She seemed very strong even if she didn't look it. He admired that in mare's, but that was as far as he would go with them really.
"If you hold onto the past and everything that you didn't do...you won't be able to live your life happily. I don't think your daughter would want you regretting and holding onto a past that can't be changed. It will only bring stress and more heartache. If that is what you want then keep doing it otherwise I suggest letting it go. I saw what it has done to my mother. She regrets not being there for my father the day he died and I regret the same thing...I watched him die, but there was nothing the either of us could do. She died a little on the inside and so did I, but I had to let it go."
He told her truthfully with a nod before raising his brow some.
"I see. I am pretty much the same way, but then again...I'm not really looking for romance. It's something I don't think will come easily for me, but I have thought about kids of my own."
He told her as he kept himself closely following behind her still.

Moving towards the entrance to the cave she paused, pushing her muzzle through the branches and leaves of the tree to look outside. "Well, it looks like the worst of the storm is over.." she said, looking over her shoulder at Gabriel. "We should eat something before we start anything."
"I guess my other daughter should look like me and Nevara.. at least in some way. Perhaps with my hair style, pinks, blues, and maybe green like her father. That's pretty much all I can give you. She was just born the last time I saw her..." she nodded reluctantly when he said finding others was his job. It had to get lonely traveling all my ones self. She after all, hated it. "If you insist, I guess so..."
Melanie lifted her head slightly to meet his eyes. "I feel badly for what I did when I was younger, but I know I can't change it. It may have taken me a while to realize it, but I know all that matters is today and what I do with it." she shifted a bit in place, but continued to meet his eyes. "It's just something I'm embarrassed and about... even if I didn't understand what would come of my actions." Over the last couple of years she had definitely grown up and had time to sort through what she had done wrong in past.
"Thank you.. for everything.. This does really mean alot to me." she smiled.
"You know. I could see it now.. A little colt, every bit as handsome as his father" she snickered good-naturally . "Not all of us are meant for romance I guess. Some of us just have to settle for what we can get." she shrugged and turned to exit the cave without another word, knowing he would follow shortly after.
