Wait... He was not impressed nor flustered when he took his bacon? Rosenthal frowned - well, as much of a frown as a Pata-Pata could manage - before pushing the tray aside with his nose. When that was done, he sat down on her haunches, right in front of the boil, and stared into his eyes.

Stare down competition.

PostPosted: Sat Aug 06, 2011 12:40 am

He was staring at him.

Mot stared back, clearly unnerved by the beady stare of the threatening mini pet. Mot shifted uncomfortably, wanting nothng more than for Lizzy to hurry the Jack up and save him. He had half a mind to knock on the bathroom door and hurry her up. But he didn't even know where that was.

Mot was actually sweating in discomfort.

"Lizzy!!!" Mot finally relented, pushign out his chair and letting it fly backward as the boil raced out of the room.

He.

Was.

Victorious.

Rosenthal would be found by one of the hired help an hour later, curled up happily on the chair Mot had been sitting on in the dining room with a rather creepy grin on his maw; whatever he was dreaming of must involve a certain pair of reaper boils. The plate of breakfast prepared by Lizzy was gone, the plate licked clean.

Meanwhile, in her room, Lizzy had gotten dressed after drying and brushing her hair; she had only taken 45 minutes in the shower!

... And 15 minutes to do her hair. 1 hour, on the dot.

She hummed happily, grabbing her handbag before looking around her room to make sure that there was nothing she had missed. Then, opening the door to her room, she was met with the sight of a running Mot... Whatever was he running from, anyway? Giggling, she stepped out of the room, closing the door behind her, "Finished breakfast already?"

Oh finally! There she was.

Mot slowed down, panting once he reached Lizzy. "Uh.. yes. Finished. It was very good." Maybe that evil mini pet had finished it for him.
That's when it hit him. Mot had just fled from a pink mini.

A tiny, pink mini.

Shame.

Mot turned on his heel and walked back with Lizzy. "I met your mother." Mot said after a moment. "Shes very nice. Offered me a hat and everything.." But not his hat. It wasn't even cool How was he supposed to feel like a rugged bad-a** with a hokey cow print hat?

Mot had a sad.

"I'm glad!" She beamed, obviously happy with Mot's compliment as she grinned, "I can't seem to cook anything good unless I have someone there to guide me every step of the way, but I'm hoping I'll get better... Well, gradually anyway." She smiled sheepishly at that, knowing that 'gradually' probably equated to 'a few years'.

"She did?" A giggle soon followed, "I bet she gave you something really weird... Which would also explain why you don't have it on your head right now." She made her way straight towards the door, noticing that their shoes had been left where they were from the previous night. She quickly slipped into her boots, wiggling her toes in them before looking up at Mot with a grin, "Ready to go shop- Uh, do a market research?"
PostPosted: Sat Aug 06, 2011 9:07 am

"I'm sure you will. Practice makes perrfect." Mot encourgaed with a smile and a nod. He'd never eaten her cooking previous to that morning. How was he to know if it was bad?

"Yeah, she did." Mot chuckled lightly. He didn't want to dis the woman by not wearing the hat but... believe it or not, he would have rather not wear a hat at all. Although the boil made a fuss about being hatless, he was plenty able to function without one given the circumstances.

"Market Research. Born ready." Mot smirked, slipping into his boots. He sighed as he stared at the door, then back into the house. Where could that hat have gone to?

"That's Mother for you," She giggled before shaking her head, giving Mot another sheepish smile, "She means well though..."

Nodding at the boil at his answer, she couldn't help but let out an 'awwww' after; she didn't miss the sigh nor that wistful stare he was giving the house, and she was pretty sure she knew the cause of his "misery". After unlocking the door and pushing it open, she walked to him and patted him on his forehead, "Don't worry! I'm sure we'll find your hat by the time we're back! The whole household is looking for it, after all!"

As much as she was all for Mot going without his hat (hello there, pretty eyes!), she didn't like seeing him so... Defeated. Hatted Mot or not hatted Mot, it was still the same confident, sweet Mot - that was what she liked to think.

Lizzy had some sort of obsession with head pats, but the fact she couldn't even reach the top of his head was adorably funny. Mot smirked and shrugged. The whole household? He somehow doubted that, but the thought was nice. He'd just have to go on a hat finding adventure sometime during the stay at Lizzy's.

"Alright, then. Let's head out." He almost moved to adjust his hat in the way he usually would, but stopped short and simply ran his hand through his hair. Right, the hat was gone.

He then stopped outside the door, smiling. He was actually excited to see Lizzy's hometown! He looked back to Lizzy with a grin. "Show me around while we're out, okay?"

Poor Mot poor Mot! She couldn't help feeling sad at the sight; he was trying to adjust the hat that wasn't there!

After locking the door and turning the handle to make sure that she had locked it correctly, she stepped out into the garden; it was a sizable garden, with a hammock slung between two trees at the side, and flowers all around... Some of which looked like flowers of the poisonous variety. It was hard to tell, really, but it might be good not to go around plucking the flowers. A single stone path links the front porch to the main gate, where the letter box was.

"Of course!" She grinned back, "Some of the residents are a little... Snobby though." She sighed, shaking her head, "Mother told me she chose this area because it's a nice neighborhood compared to some of the more "prestigious" areas-" She raised her hands and wriggled two fingers at 'prestigious' before letting her arms go limp, "But most of the neighbors are pretty nice!"

Most of the nice neighbors also happen to not be demons.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 06, 2011 11:20 am

Snobby? Oh dear. Then again, Lizzy was a demon. Most demons were very well off, weren't they? Money seemed to make some people kind of haughty. Heck, the community he came from was a bit snooty as well, and they were all simply working class reapers! Close knit communities weren't always a blessing.

"Well... hopefully we run into the nice ones." He said with a smile.

"I hope so too... Although I'm more concerned about if we should hire a cab or take public transport," She chuckled softly, taking Mot's arm and leading him down the path. At the gate, she unhinged it and tugged Mot out before closing it behind them; the houses around the area were all at least two floors high, with similar dimensions.

"What's your hometown like?" She tilted her head, looking up at the boil, "You came from... The city? What's it like, living in the city? I've lived in the suburbs my whole life... It's nice and quiet here, most of the time." She imagined the city to be quite different!
PostPosted: Sat Aug 06, 2011 12:07 pm

"Either works, I suppose." He had no preference, really. "I suppose public transit is cheaper."

"The city?" He titled his head, walking along side her. "I've only ever lived there my whole life too. In a subdivision of just reapers. It was kind of noisy." He laughed and continued. "Really stuffy. Everyone has this air about them, like everyone else around them are ants in comparison to their self-inflicted importance. Most of them, anyway. There were a couple here and there who knew better." It always felt like they needed to prove themselves, and it made Mot sick.

"But, if you travelled into the slums? There were some places where people knew how to have a good time." Lucky for Mot, he'd never run into anything too dirty, the area he had lived in being one of the nicer ones. "Of course there were some rough patches. I got addicted to gambling in those slums, and often found myself on the wrong end of a fist or two."

"It is!" She nodded in agreement; saving seeds was important, even if she... Wasn't that good at it currently.

"Ohhh?" She blinked, looking thoughtful as she smiled sheepishly, "That's... Something new... I mean, there are actually a couple of reapers living in this district, but they're not that way at all! You actually sound like you're describing some of the... So-called high class demons I've met at parties mother had been invited to..." She knew from her mother and Bones that reapers probably work the hardest, compared to everyone else, due to their whole 'not scary' factor; she actually admired them for that.

"T-the slums?" She sounded and looked surprised, "But the slums... It's supposed to be a shady place...?" As Mot went on, she started to frown, "You are addicted to gambling? Addicted?" She knew that the reaper had a fondness for gambling, but addicted?

Her frown grew at the mention of fights, "That doesn't sound fun at all..."
PostPosted: Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:31 pm

"Well, I don't know why, but a good portion of them had some kind of bug up their asses." Perhaps were probably too hard working. Maybe that was why? Who knows. It was possible to become completely jaded.

"No, I was addicted." Mot corrected with a raised finger. "I don't know if you noticed, but I never touched the games at Prom."

Mot smiled softly, nodding a bit. "It was fun at first. But it got bad. I ended up in real trouble with my mother when she found out."

Whoa whoa... LANGUAGE.

She pouted at Mot at his choice of words before looking slightly worried. Tugging at his arm, she frowned, "I hope you never, ever end up like that! Or Mac... Or Shun." Even thought Shun was pretty close to what Mot had described, for some reason, "Stay this way, alright? I mean, change is inevitable, but don't... Uh, well, become another constipated reaper."

Constipated was a good replacement word, right?

She then nodded, giving the boil a grin, "Ohh, that's right! Yay! I'm glad!" Her grin grew; it might not be the healthiest pastime, but it beats having gambling as an addiction! When the topic moved to his mother, she couldn't help feeling curious, pausing before asking, "Oh...? What is your mother like?"
