I have been down in my room for the last few days, making sure most of the weapons that survived that strange storm are in fair condition. I finally got finished with those damn weapons, and I really need some time out on the deck. I think the fresh air will do me good.

While I was working I heard some commotion on the deck. I wonder what it was all about, probably better not to ask though, I don't need to start more conflict, at least not between people I will have to live with.

Well, I am running out of ink, so I best go and fetch some more.

Well, I finally found some ink so I can put in more entries until it runs out.

I looked over most of the cannons today, while keeping a low profile. They seem to be in pretty good condition, so there is no need to do any repairs to them yet. I might want to check them over a little more in the morning.

Well, I seem to have a mouse in my room, I probably should catch it, and toss it to the sharks, but it is so cute. I might just catch it, clean it up, and keep it in some of the small wire cages I built a while ago. Might be a good pet as long as it has no diseases. If anyone catches something bad I will make sure to toss it into the sea.

*that last paragraph seems to be crossed out*

I should probably get some sleep. I will have a big day ahead of me tomorrow.

Well, it is valentines today, though it doesn't really mean much on the ship. Other than that, I haven't seen that mouse today. Someone else probably found it and threw it into the water, poor little guy.

Before I run off to check the rest of the cannons, I am going to grab something to eat, and maybe talk to a few of the new people.

Today was a rather strange day, I remember waking up and leaving my quarters to get something to eat, much like any normal day before checking things over. I took an apple and began to eat it, after eating about half of the apple, I blacked out.

I awoke several hours later, around an hour before I wrote this entry. I was down in a dank room, with a torn up training dummy, my hand felt as if I was using my sword for at least four hours. I think I was in the small training quarters I use to keep my swordsmanship skills at their best.

This isn't the first time I have had strange blackouts, but I usually get them before we get into a battle, and I usually wake up with slashed bodies all around me. This one was rather different since it happened to me while I was eating an apple.

My mother told me that at times, I would get angry at the other children and I would beat them up until they stopped squirming. I used to get in a lot of trouble from their parents, and the tribe leader. My mother called it skit... something; maybe I need to talk to someone about this.

But, back to the story, I came back to my room to write this entry up, I have a very bad headache, so I am going to go to bed, and maybe I talk to someone about this in the morning. I just hope I dont blackout again tomorrow.

I seem to have a strange little scar on my index finger on my right hand. I also see there is a strange entry in my journal that appears to be written in smudged blood. I will get to the bottom of these blackouts, and that message.

I have been trying to stay away from the deck for the last few days. I don't need to pass out on deck, or am I even passing out?

I still haven't talked to anyone about these blackouts, I probably should sometime soon...

I still don't know how that entry made in smeared blood got in my log... Strangely though it is signed "Rachel," even though I sign off my entries as "Manah," it still seems strange that that entry was signed off with my usual name...

Maybe that little scar that was on my right index finger has something to do with it... Could it have been written in my own blood?

Well, I am almost out of ink again... I should go and get a little more.

Well, I finally figured out why I was having those blackouts, and why there was that strange message written in blood in my log. I remembered when I would go into battle, I would turn into a completely different person, but I would know what happened.

With the blackouts, I believe it was my other side taking control, and shutting out the normal me, restricting my ability to retain the memories of what happened, which would cause it to seem like a blackout. To fix it, I needed to re-create the "bond" between the two personalities, to my luck; the bond was re-created when we had that fight on that merchant ship.

I got the bullet out of my arm, and I now, now have a piece of cloth wrapped around the bullet wound from the fight, so hopefully it can stop bleeding and heal. So it can heal, I am going to stay in my quarters for the next few days, resting up should help the healing process.

Well, I better get back to my resting; I don't need to be hindering my healing just to write in this old log.
