Mai blinked wondering what was going throw his mind as he looked back at her. Eventually he spoke up. “Oh… cave? Ah if you’re okay with it I wouldn’t mind getting warmed up a bit.” Mai stated. She felt bad having him do all this stuff for him but she wasn’t quite used to the cold. Perhaps once she adjusted she could come back and pay him back for all the help.
With a plan in mind she blew upwards to warm her nose before waiting for Rehnard to start moving again. He looked as if he was in deep thought and after being nice enough to help her she wasn’t going to interrupt him.

Rehnard shook his head banishing the thought to the back of his mind, before walking foreward. His home was close now, he cleaned uit up since that permakit got loose in there.the rest of the time there Rehnard was silent.
when they reached the opening of the cave Rehnard looked in making sure there was no dangerous animals that decided to sneak in while he was away. when he didnt see anything he walked in looking."Come in please..."he gave a barely noticeable smile.

Mai let him finish thinking and moved accordingly when he started moving again. She hoped he wasn’t too troubled, but she hadn’t interrupted him because sometimes you just needed time to work through your problems. She didn’t know if that was the case here but always better safe than sorry. Mai began looking around at the cave interest and taking small things into detail. She tilted her head to the side when he looked in the cave. Was it not his, but then he could be checking for stragglers using his home as well. “Alright, thank you” Mai replied with a nod on her head and followed him into the cave.

Rehnard stepped into the cave and took a seat near some white fluff that was covering a certain spot, before staring at her."his ear twitched and his eyes focused on her. The woman in front of him was now visable outside the snow. After a moment he stood up and walked over to her sniffing her fur."I smelt an interesting scent coming off you before, now that we are in closed quarters The scent is more noticeable, its very pleasant though so dont worry."

Mai was still looking around and taking notice of her surroundings. She looked for the best places to stand if something attacked or the exits if she suddenly had to leave. It was an almost unconscious habit she had, because even though she looked like a push over she knew things in life didn’t always turn out ideal and you should always know the area you where around. Stepping into the cave and out of the snow she lightly brushed her self of some straggling snow flakes before she turned back towards Rehnard.
“I… I have a smell?” She asked tilting her head to the side. Well he seemed to be okay with it, although it did slightly worry her. To make matters a bit more complicated she couldn’t really smell herself. Ah well it was best to push it aside, after all it was a pleasant one right?

Rehnard stopped smelling after a moment."yeah everyone ha a scent, It tells where you've been what you've been through... seems you've been through some hell..." He always had a good sense of smell, while this girl was a good fox for caring for young Rehnard was a good tracker.A skill he had learned in the wild having to hunt for food.
"oh and by the way are you hungry?"he asked raising an eyebrow.

“Hmm well I guess at the time it could have been called hell, but considering much worse things happen to other foxes looking back it wasn’t really that bad” Mai replied. Sure she had gotten separated from her family and was probably never going to see them again but she had at least had time with her family, and knew she was wanted.
“ah thank you for asking but I did just eat a little while ago, so I’m fine” she nodded.

Mai could tell Rehn didn’t have too much company over, but it made her a bit happy that some one was at least trying. “Ah yeah I am a little cold” she replied and then snuggled into the fur. It was a bit rough since it was bear fur but it was definitely very warm. “Thank you, its very warm” she smiled.

Rehnard turned away and smiled."Glad to hear it...." he shook his head and walked over to the girl wrapped in the fur, then layed down. he really didnt know what he could say now."You know its not everyday such a cute girl comes through here." wait that is what his brain decided to spout? crud....why say that out of every other possibility he had to say that...

Mai was starting to finally be able to feel some of the stuff she was convinced had frozen earlier. She wiggled her toes a bit finally getting feeling back into them. Tomorrow she would try to adjust to the climate again. After all she needed to be able to live in what ever type of terrain her feet brought her too. Mai chuckled a bit and shook her head. Her host said some rather funny things at times. “Yes I would imagine so, thank you for the cute compliment however”

Mai just smiled even though her reaction was to first laugh. However it wouldn’t be nice to her host, even if it was just in response to he looked awfully cute trying to keep from blushing. She had a feeling he didn’t deal with many foxes, or at least many girls. “I’m okay at the moment, finally warming up. I probably should have stayed down an elevation or two till I was ready but I got sidetracked. It’s a nice blanket”

Rehnard sighed before giving her a smile."glad you like it." He continued to stare at her, until her comment about elevation."well your in a pretty low laying area here. But Its true higher up it gets alot colder and the air is pretty thin."Maybe after you rest some I should get you to a place thats a bit warmer.who knows maybe some of your family will be there"

“Well I want to get used to this kind of climate before I move on. Since I’m on my own I want to be able to survive anywhere just in case you know” Mai replied and then looked at him with a warm smile. “Oh I wish they would be there but truthfully they aren’t anywhere on this continent.” Mai replied. She had been on quite a journey and she had finally come to grips with the fact she wouldn’t see any of them ever again.
