I really don't mind non-con, so long as it's well-written and not overly cliched (but then again, it's hard to write a non-con that isn't!). Like I said, non-con's ok with me so long as it is believable, and as many of you have said, the victim does not fall in love with their rapist. Furthermore, I'm more of a fan of dubious-con because it seems a little less... how should I put this? "Distasteful" isn't the word I am looking for, but it seems to be the closest I can come up with... it's when people start thinking that it's ok to rape others because they read it or saw it somewhere that it becomes a problem. Do you think it would be irritating to have a "DO NOT ATTEMPT AT HOME" label on all rape-scenes in anime, manga, and fanfiction???

I don't like non-con that much. Too much blood. Rape isn't my thing.

I don't mind it as long as it's not one of thouse "You raped me and now I love you storys" I think if someone rapes you you hate them! I don't mind it though if it brings like someone else closer in as a comfort thing.

I'm an angst-whore, so I'm defintely okay with NCS fiction-wise. I like the whole hurt/comfort thing...
Of course, the story has to be good/well-written. Sometimes, they're so over the top...but then, that's probably the author's style that squicks me and not the NCS.

I don't mind it though if it brings like someone else closer in as a comfort thing. I agree. Those kinds of stories usually get me rolling my eyes. I'm like, "Hello?! He just /raped/ you- you're not supposed to instantaneously like him!!"

I would say I'm quite a torute whore, but only because I like stories with realistic ideas, that the person will live in fear in the attacker, may be hesitent around their partner, but helps regain trust.
I cannot have the fall in love with the person hurting them, unless I'm in sci-fi and its mind control, but thats not willing. They need to hate this person, and have trama.....wow...I am a real b***h sweatdrop

I enjoy the types of non-con fics where the uke suffers from Stockholm syndrome after being captured by the big bad seme who made it his prerogative to rape the uke as many times as possible. Twisted? Yes. Hot? Hell yeah.
