Roshan fell silent, staring awkwardly at his paws. He had no business here, in this family squabble. He thought Kamiya should stay within the pack, tend to her children. But then, what business of his was it? He certainly had no pups to tend. Maybe there was more to it that he didn't know.
Kamiya bared her teeth at the pup, backing away. Tears sprang in her eyes as she did it, but she could see no other option. This beautiful boy -- her clone, in miniature -- would simply need to learn to be tough, and forget about her as soon as possible. He was young. He'd be fine. She had to believe that.
She growled, hoping he would get the hint to back off, and turned without further explanation to run away before the tears spilled over onto her cheeks.
"Mama ....!" Nakine knew what was about to happen, but it still shocked her. She yelped, stumbling forward, half planning to chase her mother -- but Roshan's paw caught her, and pulled her close, holding her down before she could follow.

The tears just ran down his cheeks as she bared her teeth to him, ears pinning against his head. He crumbled on the ground and let out a sob as she ran off. He wouldn't say anything, but as soon as the other male came over to him Abhidi bared his own teeth and bit down hard on Lalita's foot. "I hate you!" He screamed before running off past Roshan, praying he was quick enough. He headed the opposite direction of where his mother hand run, back into the pack. Where he was going, he didn't know.
When he was bit like that, Lalita hiss and growled but didn't stop him. He knew how hard a change of paws was, especially to a male he didn't know. Sighing, he looked to the other puppy and wondered if she hated him, too.
"He'll be fine..." He didn't know if he was trying to calm the sister down, or himself, but it needed to be said either way. "...The pack will find him and calm him down..." He looked to the other male and sniffled a little more. "...You're welcome to stay, like I said before..." He was listless as he said it, no longer excited. He had growing up to do before he could ever want to be responsible for these pups. "...I'll be needing your help a lot."

Nakine strained against Roshan's paw, and he finally let her go so she could run after Abhidi. If anyone could help, Roshan figured, it was the sister.
He sighed, heavily, and raised his eyes to meet Lalita's. His eyes were tired and worn and filled with sadness, but they were kind. He offered him a beleaguered smile that he hoped said enough, as he couldn't find the words himself.
