Belial chuckled at the idea of his sister being called sweet and liking being spoiled. "I don't know about that, Athena. I think she likes the attention, but my little sister isn't the type to enjoy lounging about being spoiled." It was only the truth and probably one of the reasons, if not the main one, that Niade was taking so miserably to being pregnant. Belial did look forward to meeting these other lionesses to see what others were drawn in by the cheerful fluff-ball.
He smiled at Niade when she made her request.. He started to drag the carcass away before turning back and grinning at Athena. "Thank you. I think this will work out well for all of us."
He continued away, suspecting that Niade wanted alone time to speak with Athena. Not sure of the reaction of the lionesses to a strange lion without Athena around he settled in on the opposite side of the tree from where the lionesses were gathered. With a hopefull outlook he dug into his snack.

Niade just let the males talk about her and shook her head a little as her only response. It was acctually kind of nice to be spoiled once in a while, but she did prefer to be free to accept it or not rather than cornered into it. She grinned at her brother as he left.
The black and green lioness was silent for a time leaning into Athena's nuzzling attention and purring. Such an affectionate response from her should make it obvious she wanted him to stay. Finally she gave a contented sigh.
"I want to thank you too Athena," she said finally. "It means a lot to me that you're willing to welcome my brother." It felt more like family for her than it had since she'd left to find Belial. It really would be a family, and, no matter how horrible a mother she might turn out to be, with Belial's caring patience and Athena's sweet affection, she'd be able to welcome the cubs into the world knowing they'd be safe and secure and loved.

"True enough, she does like the attention... and protest the spoiling more than not. Eventually she will be back to forcing me to let her hunt for herself and such." Athena sighed dramatically at the idea. He really did enjoy the spoiling he got to do with Niade while she was like this. She was not in a position to protest as much. Though he couldn't wait to have her happier again and have the cubs to spoil.
Athena nuzzled Niade a bit more and shrugs his fluffy shoulders. "He is family to you and I would like him to be here with the cubs. I think it will do both of you good along with the cubs. I want you to be happy and comfortable, Niade." He purred and looked around a bit. Should he stay with Niade? Maybe... Bel could fend for himself with the women... well, maybe not. "I will come back and spend more time with you after I introduce Belial around to the others." He grinned at her and went over to Bel. "Come on, handsome, need to get you settled with the ladies."

Niade would have prefered to have Athena stay curled up around her, but yes Belial would need to be formally introduced to the others. She doubted his observation of the group had gone unnoticed and she'd made comments about her overprotective brother often enough to make it clear just what was up. "Don't be too long," she replied finally and watched him go.
Niade knew she wouldn't be going through this again, but she had to choose to make the best of things as they were.
Belial was surprised to have Athena join him so soon, but he admited it was for the best. "Sounds like a good plan," he said, and moved to follow the big fluffy male to finally meet the rest of the group. It would prove to be an interesting time he was sure, but he'd make it clear first and foremost he was there for his sister, for family....
