Short paragraph about your Acha: Leave sand dunes for the soft and the weak, Sunset's heart lies in the deep, winding canyons carved from the red stone in the far north. She is often compared to the rocky cliffs of her home. Hard, unyielding, unforgiving, but with a depth and beauty open to anyone willing to risk the climb.

Sunset isn't prone to her kind's displays of art. She prefers running to dance, but in her winding canyons running itself is a kind of dance, winding around tight corners and sudden U-turns with an effortless grace. While she loves the songs of her tribe, she doesn't usually join in. Not because she can't, but because, in her words "It's not my place." She would rather be a joyful audience member than a mediocre singer trying to compete with the best in her tribe. She believes the best should only compete with the best, and raise each other up in the process.

Concept in three words or less: Playful, lackadaisical, epicurean
Short paragraph about your Acha: Birchwood takes life as it comes and just rolls with it. He believes in seizing the moment and living for the day, making him a poor planner and having a very short foresight in any predicament. Birchwood's songs are much like himself; a sweet melody akin to a lazy sunny day, dancing like the whisked grains of sand in a low breeze. He grew up with Sand Runner and they bantered, fought and picked on each other as only two friends utterly wild about each other could, taking those tendencies in maturity to the next level of affection and loyalty. When Sand Runner was made Hunter, she refused to take a step until he was at her side, and run with her, he did; inseparable and tight knit on a level deeper than physical, she's constantly nipping at his heels to keep up.

Acha name: Sunset Serenade
Concept in three words or less: Leader, vain, ambitious
Short paragraph about your Acha: Serenade wraps all the intrigue and sultry invitation of the night and makes it her own, an Acha that dances to her own music. She is very meticulous and rather a perfectionist when it comes to ... well, just about anything; her songs must be just so and haunting, her tail and horns immaculate, and her hunts to be the most concise and efficient possible. She plays the game of role model as well as anyone else but she plays for keeps. Raised with Sand Runner, she always kept on him to keep up -- even young, she longed to stand out and be noticed, eating up praise and donning it like a mantle. Though she loves to dance and sing, she found that the thrill of the hunt and the training therein was far more an enticing game, one she strove for with gusto. When she was awarded from her hard-earned efforts, she abruptly dragged Sand Runner with her, needing her steadfast companion and friend; for as vain as she is and proud as she flaunts, it was in he and his friendship that she found herself to be the most beautiful.

Short paragraph about your Acha: Dust's literary talents and her nomadic tendencies take her all over the desert, entertaining everyone from the loneliest hermits to the largest and most well-off tribes. Her ability to spin tales short and long on ANY subject gets her invited anywhere and everywhere just to hear her weave her magical words. Even though most of her audiences tend to be more captivated by the more sprawling yarns, she herself prefers poetry, and can often be found reciting brief smatterings of prose not just at other acha, but also at the nature around her. Despite protests from her many admirers in the desert, her wandering nature has compelled her to join those venturing off to the faraway swamp, seeking inspiration and a whole NEW audience.

Short paragraph about your Acha: Downfall has always wanted to be a hunter. He knows how revered the role is, and always looked upon them with awe while growing up, especially when they and their sand dogs brought back their prized kills, heads held high as they received their accolades from the rest of the tribe. And it looked like they had such FUN. The problem is, he's not very good at it. Even the sand dogs seem to know it, as most of the trained ones tend to shun his presence. Despite all of this, he is determined to prove he can bring home the bacon, so to speak. The other acha just shake their heads, and figure one of these days something in the desert is going to get him instead of the other way around.

Acha name: Jumping Mouse
Concept in three words or less: I can't dance
Short paragraph about your Acha: Mouse tries really hard. Really, she/he does. It just never seems to be enough. Mouse's dancing isn't quite dancing, it's more of a wild jumping around in some sort of rhythm that only Mouse can hear. Mouse's singing is, well, all right, but it just doesn't fit in with the harmony. Mouse's songs are simple, and his/her voice doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the gender. He/She tried hunting once...but the dogs were having much more fun chasing Mouse around than looking for game. Simply put, Mouse doesn't quite fit in with the rest. It could just be he/she is part of the wrong tribe, or part of the wrong race entirely.

Acha name: Ochre
Concept in three words or less: Off-beat artist
Short paragraph about your Acha: Ochre is like other Acha in most ways. The only difference being she has no rhythm. She can't dance or keep a beat no matter how simple. Her voice is as good, though, even if she is always a little off. Sometimes this bothers her, when she stops painting to think on it. Painting is her passion, Ochre will paint anything or anyone. Not just make pictures to represent specific Acha, but actually paint on them. It doesn't bother her that the color never lasts, it just means Ochre will never run out of Acha willing to be painted on. Her favorite paints are those made of her namesake, ochre ground and mixed with water. Or cactus juice if water is unavailable, as it often is. Even blood will do in a pinch, though it is highly disliked for it's own strong color. But anything with color to be extracted will be used. For her the joy is in the creating and not what others say about it, even if they generally say it is beautiful work. Stories of a swamp have drawn Ochre to go exploring, hoping there will be even more things to make. More colors to extract, more people to paint - of and on - and more things to see. Probably more then Ochre could ever possibly paint in a life time. Not that anything will stop her from trying.

Short paragraph about your Acha: The first thing that Dusty loves is to run through the sands of his home, jumping clear over dunes, throwing up long clouds of dust in his wake. The second thing that Dusty loves are the ladies. All doe are beautiful in Dusty's eyes and if he could, he would woo them all. He often uses his athletic abilities in addition to his singing to attract the females to him, including jumping over large ponds in oasis, off large sand dunes, and any other tricks to make the girls swoon and fawn all over him.

Short paragraph about your Acha: Mirage never strays far from the oasis that she calls home. A bit of a hermit, her only companion is her sand dog. It's not that she doesn't like other acha, she's just content to be alone and stay in her home. Others call her home the haunted oasis because Mirage sings her favorite songs, the ones rejoicing the moon, at night, the winds carrying her voice far and wide. Those who are considered brave enough to go to explore the "Haunted Oasis" never see hide nor hair of her or her sand dog as she often hides from them to further spread the rumor that her home is haunted by an Acha ghost.

Short paragraph about your Acha:
She knew she couldn't sing from the very beginning... Well, technically she could sing, she just couldn't sing well. At all. She would open her mouth, her voice would rise -- and crack, and she would cough, and then choose to just not sing anymore. But she decided very early on that she was not going to let that define her. She refused to feel less than anyone else just because she didn't fit the mold of what an Acha "should be". Besides, what she couldn't do with her voice, she made up for in her spirited dance. She loves dancing, she enjoys running, she loves tumbling down the sand dunes in a flurry of dust and jumping up at the bottom to run away and find a new sand dune to re-create. She'll be your best friend! As long as you don't see the need to harp on her lack of a singing voice.

Short paragraph about your Acha:
Poor Mirage. He remembers his dream so vividly, but it is the only image he has to remember. Blind in both eyes, Mirage relies on sounds and, sometimes, animals or other Acha to guide him over the sand dunes or across the plains, or (as they arrive) through the confusing terrain of the swamp. He loves to listen, though, and appreciates all of his still-intact senses. He enjoys singing with the other Acha, glad to have a beautiful voice that can join in with all of the others, and he thoroughly enjoys dancing, despite the fact that he sometimes trips over his own feet or surroundings that he cannot see.
[ Ultimately, I will aim to get a sand dog for him to rely on as his eyes, but I didn't want to include it in here because I'm not sure how quickly I'd be able to get him one. xD; ]

[ The gender of each of these concepts could be switched, I just see them more easily in these genders; as such, the preference lists are broken up a bit as I see them differently for each personality? Though ultimately, I'll take what I can get. xD; ]
