Vavalion made a small, disconcerted noise as Paestri brought up the icky malicious plant, huddling into his cloak and wrapping his tail about himself. Loki's decision to bother Linneas wasn't helping, and he cast the elder Legend a frustrated pout.

Loki glowered, before wrapping his arms around the two Legends and pulling them close, ignoring Linneas. For now.
"It looks like a vine," Loki them murmured, his curiosity getting the better of him, before spotting Vavalion's look. "... what? It does."
He missed the point completely.

Every muscle in Linneas' body tensed at the sight of Loki's arm around his sister. It wasn't as if he thought Loki would hurt Paestri, he just didn't want her becoming fond of such a rude boy. Why couldn't she have made friends with someone nicer? More amicable. Someone Linneas approved of!
He kept a watchful eye on Paestri, shrugging off any calming effect the large tree had.
Paestri blinked at the foreign word, her tongue sticking out as she tried to wrestle her mouth into pronouncing it.
"Bayn?" she blinked then shook her head, noticing the look on Vava's face. "Wai?" she asked, reaching out to Vavalion with one hand, while the other curled around Loki's arm.

"Vvvvvvvvvvvvvvv..." Vava pouted and decided to give up on trying to pronounce "vine" himself, instead pointing at it and declaring "Uck!"

"I imagine they don't taste good," Loki sneered, his lip curling upwards. "You, dare I say it?, have good taste." He stuck his tongue out at Linneas, before shifting to stand, attempting to examine the tree more.

The Tale glared at Loki wordlessly, "It looks a bit dangerous as well, Pae." Linneas added. "But what sort of plant are these?"
Paestri released her hold on Loki in order to crawl closer to Vavalion. "Uc'?" she echoed, quirking a brow before she mimic-ed the serpent Legend's pout. Now that she looked at the vine, and with the three opinions the others had of the menacing looking plant, Paestri decided she didn't like it either. "No li'e!" she declared proudly, grinning to Vavalion and cautiously touching his blanket.
No taste there, inanimate objects didn't seem to have a taste when she touched them. Only living things.

Vava nodded back vehemently, giving her a small smile. "Uck!" He chewed on the edge of his blanket-cloak some more, giving her questing hand a curious look.
His tail had relaxed some, sliding down from being wrapped awkwardly around his torso so that the tip of it was resting in his lap, wiggling a bit.

Once he was free of both of the kids, Loki walked swiftly over to the tree, pressing his hands against it. Both of his eyes flew open in alarm; the sheer ambience of it was almost overwhelming, but he accepted it with an almost open heart.
There were so many good spirits here! He had never felt so many good ones before!
He felt a sharp pang, and his face twisted into a slight scowl. Yes, there was hate here, too...

Paestri coo'ed at Vava's tail, never having seen anything quite like it before. Tentatively she reached out, and after the initial taste that came when touching another person, she realized just how smooth and cool to the touch it was.
"Wai?" she asked, wondering how come his skin felt so different from hers.
Linneas inclined his head ever so slightly as he observed the Legends, his golden eyes sharply observing Loki. He felt far more protective of Paestri when he was around, for some reason.

Vava's tail twitched a bit as she touched it, trying to curl gently around her wrist in much the same way as an infant curls its fingers around anything that meets its hand. He hesitated, giving her a confused look with his wide reptilian eyes. Why what? He hadn't registered or noticed the physical differences between himself and others.
"Uh?" he asked, before getting hit by a wave of awe from Loki. He reeled slightly, feeling dizzy from it, then rubbed his head and glanced towards the tree in further confusion. It was almost as if he didn't quite recognize Loki for a moment or two.

Closing his eyes, Loki leaned against the tree, breathing out as he actually smiled.
He could have stayed here forever, really. It was so... peaceful.

Paestri blinked in confusion as Vavalion reeled, did she do something? She crawled closer to the infant Legend, no longer fearing that his taste might be scary, and was practically nose-to-nose with him.
"Wha hapen?" she asked in conern.

Vava seemed a bit startled to find Pae right in his face as he turned back, but he settled at her questing concern, feeling a bit abashed to be the subject of it.
"'Ok'ee," he replied, waving his hand in Loki's general direction. He chewed on his cloak again as he stared at the tree once more, then frowned, looking quite confused. Loki seemed to have vanished into the calm, peaceful aura of the big tree! Oh no!
"'Kee go!" Vava exclaimed in alarm, pointing at the tree. "Ussssssssshh?" It wasn't any real word, just a confused, upset sound. Where was Loki? The familiar bundle of snide, slightly grumpy snarkiness seemed to have vanished!

((Kanth, just tell me if you want me to delete this post. Did Loki physically disappear or is it just how Vava's perceiving him?))
Paestri canted her head, "Lo'ee?" she blinked, following the direction of Vavalion's gaze. He was right there, standing in front of the tree, wasn't he?

(( It's Vava's perception. heart I had to ask her before, too. xD;;; She can explain it far better than I can. ))
Loki was completely relaxed, this time giving a full smile to Linneas. "You should try this." No malice, no snark, no anything.
He looked very happy.
