Yoko finally got to the forest area his prey’s scent seemed strongest at and looked around familiarizing himself with the area. It was always a good move when you might get into a fight and it was easier to sneak around with. Now how to best get his ruby back. Well a bit of exercised never hurt he supposed.
Yoko reached Hiei (he still doesn’t know his name but I got tired of writing “the prey”) around the same time the Daeva snorted in disgusted amusement and briefly wondered if he was still under the delusion that Yoko wasn’t who he said he was. Besides who in their right mind tried to pretend to be him. Hmm now he could get up into the tree and steal the ruby but that would probably alert Hiei. He could step on something to alert his presence but that would make him seem weak. Ah well plan C then. “Mind giving back my ruby?”

Hiei froze, not wanting to show that he hadn't heard the Yoko after all, though he perked his ears in the Phim's direction. Not even opening his eyes, the Deava swished his tail and chuckled. "No. It's mine now, I stole it fair and square." The Deava opened his eyes and looked down at the Phim.
"Besides, who's to say I even still have it. You're not the only one who stashes their treasures away." All completely true. He wasn't the only one to stash treasures and, technically, Hiei had stashed it, he just did it on his own person. "So go away, Fox."

Yoko smirked and waved up at the daeva. This would be the second time he snuck up on the daeva. Now he just needed a way to get his gem. “mmm I suppose you stole it fair and square but I thought I would be nice and ask first before taking it.” Yoko replied. Next step was to get the daeva out of the tree.
“Oh you still have it, but how I know is for you to guess and for me to know” Yoko smirked. Sure his cave might not have his scent in it any longer but that didn’t mean he didn’t have other methods of keeping track of what was his. “so I think I am not going anywhere until you give me back my gem. It was a lovely gift from my last partner.” Okay so that wasn’t entirely true he had stole it from Yomi but that was all semantics.

Hiei raised an eyebrow at the wave, but didn't return it. Waving was below his dignity. "Isn't being nice against your reputation as a ruthless thief? Discrepencies, 'Yoko'." he said, showing with his tone that he still wasn't convinced. Hiei knew there were many ways the Phim could tell that he still had the ruby, he just had to be observant.
"You can just stay there all night then, Phim. I'm not giving it back." Hiei twitched his tail again and yawned. He snorted in complete disbelief that Yoko had ever gotten a 'present' that had been willingly given. Hiei had gotten tons of gifts...all without the owner's permissions.

“You know one should never truly believe everything they hear, its bad for a thief trying to make it in this cruel world” Yoko stated with a slight click to his tongue. Eh try and have manners in the world and you got chided against, what ever was the world coming too. “Although I will admit you are correct. I am quite known for that trait, however perhaps I’m bored and wish to pass the time and thats why I am acting nice." he shrugged.
“Well if I am going to stay here all night.. I better think of something to do to pass the time” Yoko stated. There where a couple things to mind and the cold smirk spreading across his face hinted he was thinking of fusing the two together. After all hadn’t he just said he was bored. “Fine so I took it from Yomi as a way to remember him by before I went to go try to kill him, semantics. Point is I AM getting that ruby back”

"I never said I heard that you were mean. I just said that your reputation doesn't seem to include you not being 'nice'." Hiei replied. "Bored, huh? I suppose that makes sense. Being dead has to be pretty boring."
Hiei eyed the Phim's smirk and aprehension gripped him a bit. That smirk was definitely part of the 'ruthless' description, even if the manners were not. He tried killing his partner? Hiei shifted, readying himself to move and move quickly if he had to. "No."

“Of course… Yomi did ask for it” Yoko stated. Oh he had given fair warning and told Yomi plenty of times he was out of line and endangering the group. However Yomi, was arrogant and didn’t listen. It was only natural that you then got rid of the problem.
“Hmm are you any good with that sword Firefly?” Yoko asked. “Never found human weapons all that interesting. I lean more towards plants myself. So we’ve come to an impasse, you don’t want to give my ruby up and I’m not leaving with out it. Why don’t you come down from that tree or are you afraid that I’ll actually win because you cant do anything but run away?” queue for the smirk to appear again.

Hiei snorted. The poor Yomi guy had probably accused Yoko of wearing a dress too. Still, Hiei didn't even have a partner, so maybe the guy did ask for it. He tried ignoring the phim, but that didn't seem to work very well. Hiei glared down at the golden eyed Phim. Firefly? What the heck kind of...AFRAID? Hiei was afraid of no one! The Deava growled.
"I'm not afraid of you or anyone else. And yes, I'm good with my blade. I watched the humans for a time and learned just from observing." Of course, he also had to modify everything since he couldn't grip the sword with his paws. Growling lowly, Hiei dropped down, glaring at the Phim.

“You know you snort a lot; I don’t think that’s normal. You should go to a shaman and get that checked out” Yoko taunted as well. Yoko smirked as he noticed he was finally starting to irritate the daeva. Well more than just his presence was already doing. Oh that hit the spot. Of course that normally hit the spot on most adult males. Yoko just chuckled back in response with his trade mark grin.
“Mmm really, then you wont mind showing me, because after all you could be lying you know.” Yoko stated. Normally he wasn’t one to start a fight but the daeva in front of him was just so amusing, more amusing than he had met in a long while and if he had to think about it he would notice he hadn’t once thought of kuronue. “hmm and now your down.”

"And you're picking a fight with a sword weilding Deava. Maybe you should get your head examined." Hiei growled back. He knew he was allowing himself to be baited, but Hiei wasn't a patient fox by nature and this Phim was getting on his last nerve. "If you want to be cut down, Fox, so be it." He snarled.
Hiei drew his sword with his teeth, adjusting his hold minutely to give him the best grip. Growling he studied the Phim, searching for an opening.

“Yes… yes I am picking a fight. However I do believe I expressed my boredom of the world a few sentences back. Everyone knows that boredom leads to insane things” Yoko replied his smirk still on his face. He wanted to know what his opponent could do. The adrenaline from the anticipation of preparing to fight had already started to sink in.
Yoko watched back with cold calculating eyes waiting for Hiei to make a move or an opening in his opponent. He could tell this would be an interesting challenging fight.

Hiei may not have been the most patient of foxes, but he did know how to fight. And fighting, more importantly winning the fight, took thought and patience. Stepping cautiously to the side, Hiei used his speed to suddenly launch himself at the Phim. Using one of the more advanced techniques, he slashed at the Phim. He felt the jar of a hit, but immediately knew that the blow was merely glancing. He growled around the sword hilt and turned back to the Phim.

He barely dodged the blow having not expected Hiei to suddenly attack. Yoko then noticed a sharp pain in his shoulder, he looked down at it keeping all his other senses trained on Hiei To say he was a little bit surprised that Hiei had managed to injure him if only a little would be correct. He had to hand it to the Daeva. Then again he might be getting rusty. He should know better than to take opponents lightly. His calculating gaze narrowed. He had just barely dodged getting a more serious wound. He would not let it happen again.
Only mere seconds past between the time Yoko was examining his new wound and before he was lunging out at Hiei. Hiei might have gotten the first hit and attack but Yoko was not going to make this battle easy for the larger fox.

Hiei dodged out of the way, barely getting away from the strike in time. The Deava was surprised at exactly how fast the Phim was; he had been the fastest thing he'd ever met. This Phim...might actually be telling the truth. Hiei snarled and attacked again. He wasn't going to be bested by a Phim. Even if he was Yoko.
Usuing as much speed as he could, Hiei lunged, swinging his sword in what should be a killing blow if it connects. Considering the Phim had dodged one of his blows already, Hiei was no longer a hundred percent sure this strike would land.

When Yoko missed he quickly rebounded back a bit just in case Hiei was able to react to hit him when he was off center from the failed attack. However Yoko was okay with missing each movement added to his understanding of how the other worked and fought. Even know he was quickly calculating his next move. He needed to get that sword away from the daeva.
Yoko didn’t actually see when Hiei first started to move but luckily he didn’t always rely on sight when fighting. He dodged the sword that would have probably ended his life and in the same momentum pushed him self to the side and back into a lunging position. Hopefully Hiei would think he was aiming for him again which would make it easier to remove the sword from his grip. Seconds later he was looking down at the daeva with a new type of smirk.
