Edmund's eyes widened a little a Yoo's words before he broke out into a grateful smile. What Yoo had said really touched his heart. The garden was his pride and joy after all.
"Thank you Yoo that... really means a lot to me. I love this garden and really all growing things. It's my dream to have this garden grow and grow. For others to be able to walk through and enjoy it, kids with plant powers to be able to practice in it. Maybe one day when people start having kids they'll bring their kids by to play in it. That would be a dream come true. Well...one of my dreams anyway..." He brought a hand up to give the hand on his shoulder a grateful squeeze while giving Yoo a soft and happy smile.

Yoo was overflowing with happiness that his feathers fluffed up and without thinking he threw his arms around Edmund, hugging him. "Why are you so great!" Yoo said hugging even tighter before letting him go and moving away. "I'm going to love when that dream comes true and just thinking about how much more beautiful it will be fills my heart with so much happiness that I feel it will explode like a huge firework. BOOM." By now Yoo was holding onto both of Edmund's hands, still smiling so brightly. "I'm sure others will love to see that and bring their kids to see just how lovely it is and thank you for making it."

Edmund was shocked by the sudden hug and he made a soft omphing noise. Yoo's words soon left him blushing as well. He wasn't used to so many enthusiastic compliments from people he'd just met. The blush was half out of embarrassment and half from being so pleased by what was being said, and by such a cute man too. He stood in front of Yoo, holding his hands and eyes a little wide from surprise. His gaze dropped shyly to his feet, but he didn't draw away. Before he spoke he returned his gaze to Yoo's face.
"I'm really..... it um... it makes me happy you think all that. It's.... nice to have someone see that dream and be so.... excited about it." Be broke out into a smile. "I um... don't want to make your heart explode though, that wouldn't be good at all." He tried to say something light but he wasn't exactly sure he'd done a good job. Suddenly he was feeling slightly flustered with Yoo holding his hands and smiling so brightly. His smile did not fade, though he shifted slightly from foot to foot nervously.
"I'd um... like to hear about your dreams sometime too." Finally he managed to say something intelligent.

Hearing the other meta not only have trouble speaking but also be so very red made something spark inside Yoo. He had never really seen such a thing happen before or at least in front of him his very eyes. For some reason he could not understand it and why he found it interesting. It was getting to the point that Yoo was staring slightly intensely at Edmund rather bewitched at his reaction.
Yoo was so caught up in his thinking that he didn't notice he let a slight awkward silence happen. Snapping himself out of it he gave a nervous like smile hoping Edmund didn't notice anything. "My dreams aren't that special like yours. All I wish to do is paint for the rest of my life even if I don't become famous. Just that is ok with me." Yoo paused as he looked to the ground blushing lightly, feeling pretty embarrassed about what he was going to say next. "Well there is another dream I had but it's pretty silly and embarrassing."
There was that nervous feel get use to get around people as if butterflies just flew into his stomach and he had yet to reveal what he was going to say. Taking a deep breath and exhaling it out he looked back to Edmund, making eye contact with him. "I....my other dream is to....well... oh god this is embarrassing. It' to...well find someone and fall in love. You know like it moves and books." Yoo looked back down to his feet then to the hands that he was still holding, letting them go finally due to embarrassment. "Sorry. Kind of forgot I was holding them. I bet you must think I'm silly." Yoo let out another nervous laugh, feeling that he just wanted to hide under a rock.

Edmund looked at Yoo intently, all through the pause which had seemed like an eternity. His mind raced wondering if he'd done or said something too awkward. He almost pulled his hands away but then Yoo began to speak again and Edmund was set at ease. Hearing about Yoo's own dreams made Edmund happy, he could understand each of them very well. Once Yoo had dropped his hand Edmund almost didn't know what to do with them, putting them anywhere seemed wrong but finally he settled on sliding one of his hands into his back pocket and with the other one he reached out and touched Yoo's arm lightly.
"I don't think you're silly at all Yoo... I was kinda.... enjoying holding your hands." He spoke progressively more softly, becoming more embarrassed as he kept going. "But I ummm...I think that's a beautiful dream you have.... it's not silly at all." He smiled a bit shyly, letting his arm drop to his side again. "I mean that's um... another one of my dreams too actually. I really want to fall in love with someone and maybe one day have a family with them...... and together with them.... help each other live out our dreams. I really want that."
He fidgeted a bit. "So if you're silly I guess that makes us a silly pair then hm?" By now Edmund was smiling at Yoo happily again feeling kinda dazed that the two of them thought so similarly.

That nervous and embarrassed feeling Yoo was getting disappeared with Edmund's kind words. Once more Yoo went in for a hug but this time it was a lot more gentle. "Yes a silly pair. Thank you." Yoo pulled away and and gave his smile at the other. "You're such a good person and I am even more happy to have met someone as you today." Yoo meant what he said and he only wished he could have talked to this person sooner so they could have gotten to know each other longer but the little time the spent felt like they had. The urge to hug Edmund again came strong but he resisted feeling it would be too much.
There it was again, that silence and when Yoo noticed he panicked a little thinking Edmund would loose interest. Yoo was having none of that right now. " Oh...um...uh..." There it was, he made it worse with his little nervous speech. "S-sorry." Yoo laughed a little nervous as he mentally hit himself. Now because of it he couldn't look Edmund in the eyes and he was sure he blow his image. Well what little image he had. "You must think I'm a nervous wreak now. You're just so wow. Amazing and I'm just...well ugh. Sorry again." Yoo only felt like he was making it worse and it just made him blush more.

When Yoo hugged him again, this time Edmund hugged him back just as gently and missed it when it ended. It was almost a bit overwhelming how many complements Yoo was giving him and his blush deepened while his stomach tied itself more and more in knots. He wasn't going to let his embarrassment get the better of him though, letting something like that get in the way of other feelings wasn't acceptable to him.
"You're fine....you have nothing to be sorry for." He reached out again for a reassuring touch for Yoo's arm. "I'm actually happy you um.... think so highly of me. Really happy." He searched for the words he wanted to say, unsure of how to express what he was feeling. "And if I'm making you so...uh nervous in the same way you're making me nervous right now then I um... think that would be really great." After he said it Edmund wondered if that had been overly confusing.
"Er.... if that makes any um... sense." He reached up and scratched his head and smiled a sheepishly.

Not only did Yoo feel nervous but now he was deeply confused at what Edmund said. He couldn't connect the dots at to what Edmund was stating other than it being a good thing or at least he thought. "I...I'm not sure what you mean completely but I really do hope it's a good thing. Well that's what it feels and what you make it sound." His voice became lighter and felt as if he was becoming that shy person he use to be. Yoo still couldn't even look Edmund in the eye and it was starting to bug him. Every time he tried he quickly darted his eyes somewhere else. He was getting hit with more and more confusion, wishing someone would explain it. It was feeling as if he was being rude by not making eye contact but he just couldn't do it.
In a shy manner, Yoo clung lightly onto Edmund's shirt with one hand as if he was a child wanting attention. There it was again, the feeling of butterflies fluttering inside of him. Yoo released his hold and looked up to him with an embarrassed look then quickly away. Whatever the feeling was it was sure new to him and it only made his mind race for the answer. "S-s-sorry. I-I don't k-know what's c-come over me. Oh darn." Now he was even more of a wreck which caused him to hide his face with his hands and turned away . Oh how he felt like just running off but he knew that would be rude. How much more could he handle of embarrassing himself? Yoo was thinking more seriously about bolting, yet he wanted to stay as well. It was a battle to decide in his mind, almost forgetting that Edmund was right behind him.

Edmund was a little horrified he'd confused Yoo so much, but his confused behavior only fueled Edmund's resolve more. He reached out and grabbed Yoo's hand gently, though held it firmly.
"I didn't mean to confuse you.... I'm sorry. What I mean was....um..." He looked down at his feet and took a deep breath. "What I m-meant was...." Mentally he kicked himself, stuttering like this wouldn't do, he had to say this right. He straightened up and looked Yoo in the eye. "Yoo would you like to go out sometime? We could see a movie... or get dinner... or whatever you would want to do."
It kind of occurred to him that a teen asking an adult out might be a little odd and he blushed even more then he already had been.
"I mean I.... understand if you um... would want to wait until I've aged up....but I really... want to go out with you on a date sometime...." Every bit of him felt tense and his stomach was tying in knots more furiously then he had ever felt in his life as he stared earnestly at Yoo waiting for his answer.

Was Yoo really hearing correctly? Had he really just been asked out? Yoo could hardly believe what he had heard. As he finally caught up with what Edmund meant with all he said before, Yoo blushed bright red. His feathers fluffed themselves as he tried to cover himself with his wings. There was no way Yoo would be able to look Edmund in the eyes anytime soon. Even having the other boy hold his hand was now making him flustered. How could he have done it before without feeling so.....? He didn't know the word for it but it wasn't a bad thing, at least that's what he was thought.
It took some time for Yoo to think it over, every once in a while looking at the hand that Edmund held and quickly looking away. Edmund didn't seem like a bad person at all. He was possibly one of the nicest he's met other than a few other people and to top it off he was rather handsome. The more Yoo thought about him the more his heart seemed to beat faster. He knew he had to give Edmund an answer, Yoo just hoped he wouldn't embarrass himself as much.
Clearing his throat he tried his best to look at Edmund as best he could averting his eyes a few times. "A-are you s-sure you w-want to? With me? I.......I think I would like to but are you really positive that you would want to......go out with me?" Finally Yoo was able to look the boy in the eyes. He didn't care much about the age thing but Yoo didn't want this to be some silly trick or something. Though he was sure Edmund wouldn't do something like that but still.
"Spending today with you was more fun than I had with anyone other than my family and I know if we did it would be just as fun. I would also be able to see you dream come true and thinking that makes me pretty happy but I just want to make sure that you really want to do something like that. I've actually never went out with anyone so I don't know what to do. I've actually never even liked someone other than fictional characters and family. I guess that's why I'm confused with what I'm feeling. My heart won't stop beating, I feel so nervous, it's hard to look you in the eyes now, and for some reason I just noticed how handsome you really are since you asked me. Oh god I'm just embarrassing myself even more." Taking his hand away he moved his wings to wrap around him, hiding the adult and the embarrassment he felt from the other. How he wished he could ask his fathers or even Vic about this but of course they weren't around. Sure he had read many books about situations such as that but he never thought it would happen and even more to him.

Edmund watched the other retreat behind his wings and returns his own hand to his side.
"I do really want to go out with you... I've had a lot of fun today too. I think um... I think you're really cute and... I want to get to know you better." He shifted a bit on his feet and looked down before returning his gaze to Yoo.
"It's ok if you aren't sure what you're feeling now... that's what date are um... for right? Getting to know someone and figuring out how you feel about them..." He offered Yoo a soft smile. "We can take it slow while you figure it out... I don't mind. Having feelings for someone can be...scary." He said the last part softer then the rest. Edmund just hoped Yoo didn't feel like he needed to retreat anymore, he wanted to see Yoo unfurl his wings and smiling brightly again.

Hearing Edmund calming words made the adult meta withdraw his wings slowly. Yoo hadn't been called cute by anyone, other than from his family but to hear someone else say it really made him feel happy. He stared at his feet for a while before he looked up to the teen in front of him slowly beginning to smile. "If you promise to make it as wonderful and as fun as today then yes. I also wanted to know more about you, even before you asked me out. Just something about you draws me in like how in some paintings you're drawn into a certain part of it. Your artist must be so brilliant." Yoo was giving his soft smile, feeling that whatever happened would happened and if he really did have feelings for the boy in front of him it would feel like winning the best prize at a carnival.
Yoo kept his sights on the boy in front of him until he realized he was staring and got embarrassed then looking away. "Sorry." He said but the adult was still smiling and even more as he looked back to Edmund. He kept feeling that happy kind of feeling until he remembered something very important. "I just have to warn you that my family takes a lot of trips from time to time at unexpected moments due to my father's job. So if I'm not around or something you'll know why. I don't want to make you think that I'm avoiding you and make you feel bad."

When Yoo's wings slowly came down Edmund felt relieved. He'd been able to reassure Yoo and soon enough the other meta was even smiling again. this made Edmund smile even more. He was smiling so much today it was almost making his face hurt, but definitely in a good way.
"Thank you for telling me that, I would have worried." He was blushing still from all of Yoo's compliments. "You keep saying such nice things about me.... my face must be um.... the color of those tomatoes over there." He gestured a bit over his shoulder. "But I'm glad you think them all."
Suddenly Edmund found himself fidgeting and made himself stop. "Is there a way I can get in touch with you so we can plan our date?" Edmund had a cellphone but he barely used it and he didn't want to assume that was Yoo's preferred method of keeping in touch either.

A small laugh came from the adult meta from the moment about Edmund being the same color as the tomato. He tried to cover his mouth but even then his laughter could be heard. It really had been enjoyable for Yoo to be around the other boy. "It's true but I could say the same for myself too." The laugh had seemed to take away the last but of nervousness Yoo felt and it seemed that the two could have a normal conversation again. "I could give you my phone number and email address since I can use both on my phone." While saying that Yoo dug in his pocket and pulled out his phone that looked like it was one of the newest models. "My father recently gave it to me to keep in contact with him and my other family members. I keep with me at all times so it would be the best way to talk to you. Unless you have another way? I wouldn't mind anyway. Just to be able to keep contact with you would be very nice." Yoo said feeling happier by the second. He did enjoy traveling with his family but now he had this strangle feeling that he wouldn't want to or at least be away for too long.

It was relieving to see that Yoo seemed more comfortable again, the mutual laughter breaking the tension. It made Edmund more at ease as well, and soon enough his ace was back to its normal color. He began fishing for his own phone and pulled it out.
"Number and email is fine by me. I've never been big into using my phone but..." He glanced happily at Yoo. "I think I'll be motivated to um... pay more attention to it now." He scrolled through the menu, looking up his own number on his phone. It was a little embarrassing that he didn't know his cell number off the top of his head but he figured Yoo didn't care that much. He gazed at Yoo once he had it up. He was really glad that Yoo was giving him a way to keep in contact though frowned a bit as he thought of the last time he'd stopped hearing from someone he felt this way about. Edmund quickly pushed it out of his mind though. Now wasn't the time for that.
"But here let me give you my um number while I have it up." He read it off to Yoo.
