"Hmm yeah that's true. The dorms doesn't really seem like your style. But you're right I was worried I might get with someone more like Nadia or something." Willow rolled her eyes before giving a sigh.
"I wonder though if my mom will decide to move here once we're all grown to be near us. I think she'd be lonely all by herself in that big house. Though maybe one of us will decide to move in there. I wouldn't be surprised if Edmund did." Out of all her siblings he seemed the most likely to want to keep his mom company and to stay in the family house, even if he was having a family of his own. There would certainly be enough room for everyone, even if Edmund had a bunch of kids.

Hank shuddered, convinced that rooming with Nadia was a curse no one should have to live with. Ever. Nadia wasn't that bad to him, it was more he just . . . didn't trust her.
"Nah, what will happen is that my mom, your mom, and Aunt Shiny will live together and be these three old bats who do crazy things like parallel park and than honk the horn to get the other cars moving, and terrorize the neighborhood, and than sit in the kitchen and talk about their kids. Not yet, I mean, but eventually. And I hope Edmund won't have to put up with all three of them at once." Hank loved his mom, but geez, could the three women talk. "If we all had kids, they could start their own colony of metas, practically. We could even be self sustaining."

Willow brought her hand to her mouth and giggled a bit. The image of the three women holed up in a house together was hilarious. They would likely get up to all kinds of ridiculousness and mischief. She kinda wanted to see that.
"I bet they will! I'd go visit them all the time just to see what they'd gotten up to. Buuut you're right, if we all had kids..." She giggled again. "That's so weird to think about. Us with kids." Another stray giggle left her mouth. "Anyway, if we all had kids we definitely could be self sustaining. Also I wonder if soon enough all the metas would end up being related unless they're new from the school and not just born."

"It could happen. But there aren't enough of us to have a self sustaining population yet. We need over two hundred, I think. You should find someone and get going, if you want that to happen, Willow."
Hank raised his eyebrows and attempted to give a rakish waggle, as he imagined Gavin did when propositioning ladies, mainly for the ridiculous effect.
"I am not being serious of course. The last thing your mother needs is a slew of grandchildren in her hair."

Willow's cheeks darkened at the suggestion she should get started on having babies. Her mind had instantly turned to Theo. She giggled nervously both at the idea and at Hank's suggestive eyebrows.
"Are you kidding? She'd be thrilled. It's me who wouldn't know what to do with kids at this point." She fidgeted a bit. "Buuuut I guess at least finding the right guy at this point wouldn't be such a bad thing. You know... just to plan ahead for out self sustaining family."

"It's always best to plan ahead." Hank gave a sage nod. "All of us will have to have ten kids to make this happen, so if you start planning now, our mothers may be the matriarchs of some huge brooding clan of metas in a mere three or four generations. It's too bad I can't just spread like a fungus; we'd get there in no time." Hank laughed. Holidays were crazy enough as it was; but with kids?
A daydream passed through his head - a child with Adeline's golden eyes - and he stopped it before he got too goofy.
"Just make sure the father of your part of the colony won't be too scared by having a family the population of an island nation."

Hank earned more giggles from Willow.
"I can just see it now, all these mini mushroom Hanks all over the place!" She rocked on her feet.
"But as fast as we metas grow I bet they'll manage matriarch status it before they get a grey hair anyway. But.... I'll make sure to..." She had another stray giggle. "Make sure that my future husband wants lots of kids." Another blush. "And I guess you better be sure your Lady Adeline is ok with it too hmmmm?" She grinned at him teasingly.

The mention of Adeline brought Hank right back to earth. "I don't even think that's on the table for now. I still have to call her back and all. Jumping the gun, I think, figuring out kids now. I should probably call her. Soon."
The sooner the better, right? He should call her before she forgot about it. Or got another date. Or something.
"Really soon."

"I think that's wise Hank." Willow twisted her umbrella. "I would think it would get harder the longer you wait. Don't put it off ok?"
She promised to herself she'd figure out a way to tell Theo how she felt too. Some way, somehow, she'd let him know and hopefully she'd be able to catch him.

"I won't. Not much longer anyway." Hank sighed, and looked at the sky. "It's getting late, though. I'm going to need to head to my car and get home. I want to make sure dinner is not for when Mom gets home. See you around, ok, Willow?"
Hank waved goodbye to his cousin and began his slow trudge across the grounds to his car, thinking about Adeline the whole way.
