Sato sniffled. She thought about the strange Angeni's words.... thought about them with all her heart and sould. She loved Zeeke. She really did. He was her world.... had brought light to her stubborn world, fun and laughter surrounded him. Yes he was stubborn, his parents had even revealed that he was at times a womaniser... treating the opposite sex as less than equals. But never her. No, to her he was charming.
She closed her eyes, and even if the stallion hadn't expected it she found words pouring out of her mouth. She just wanted to talk... now the flood gates were open she simply couldn't stop herself.
"I love him." It was almost a whisper, "He.... is...." She didn't know the word she wanted so instead simply smiled, sure that the simple action would reveal more than words ever could.

Drashi understood without her explaining more. "He is your missing fragment." He said, it was something he had heard his father Maion say from time to time... that he had once been missing a chunk of his soul, and although he didn't know it at the time it became obvious when he met Sengdroma... he was whole. Drashi had never understood this before, never realised that everyone was born with a fragment missing.... not until he met Serenity. Then everything had changed, even Arianna hadn't been able to make him as whole as he felt now.... sure her leaving had broken him but he felt that he would be shattered to never recover if anything happened to Serenity.
"I understand," he found himself saying, "Relationships aren't easy, you have to work on them Sato." That was something Drashi knew far too much about.... so much so, he wished he didn't.

Sato found herself smiling, much more relaxed now. For a moment she couldn't help but wonder if all Angeni had that effect... that soothing, calming effect? She supposed it was only appropriate given how their opposites caused such fear and agony in their wake.... Kalona's. That was a breed she was happy to not have any involvment with, something Joseph, Zeeke's father agreed with.
"You have someone too.... don't you? Someone you would change everything for?" She wasn't sure why she asked, usually she was quite happy to simply stand by and do nothing, too selfish to show much interest in others... but that had started to change, she hadn't noticed at first but now she felt like a new person.

Drashi smiled, a feeling so pure washing over him. "Indeed I do." He said no more on the subject, not wanting to place Serenity in any danger, even from someone who was an honourary member of an allied herd.... he simply couldn't risk it.
"So.... Zeeke. If he is worth it.... then talk to him." He smiled softly, knowing instinctively that the words that were to follow were true, even without knowing Zeeke, "He will understand. I am sure he would do anything to make you happy." He paused for a moment.
Then, after a moment he spoke again, "You know I am right, don't you?"

Sato didn't speak she simply nodded. A soft blush covering her cheeks.
She stopped walking, looked back to where she had come from and knew what she needed to do.... "What do you take a male when you want to say sorry?"

Drashi stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her, a smile lighting up his features. "You take yourself." He said, knowing that she had decided to do the right thing, to take the path he had suspected all along would be the one she would pick.
He looked back towards his home, it felt so far away yet so close, almost as if he could hear the children dancing and playing, feel the warmth everyone shared with each other. "Smile," He said, looking back at her, "It will make his heart skip a beat, "Lay a kiss upon his cheek, and he will melt for you," and most importantly, "Whisper you love him into his ear, and he will forever be yours to command." He was speaking from his own experience, knowing full well that if Serenity did that he would melt to her will, no matter what it was! And in truth he would have done the same for Arianna; at the time he had felt their love would have shook the heavens and beyond! Echoed for all of time and space leaving a lingering love that could never been extinguished.... he was wrong.....
It still pained him to think of that time, and it was only lessened by the thought of Serenity.... perhaps now he could face his son, build connections and bonds that were well overdue?

Sato found herself blushing like a school child, especially as she asked - "Do you think that will be enough?" Her mind was already thinking of perhaps collecting his faviourite fuits and berries, of making a great feast for him.... though that would likely attract the attention of his family and she would rather have some time just the two of them..... maybe he could plan something special, a trip or a wandering like they used to do. She smiled remembering a similar time, a time when it had just been the two of them.
She looked to her neck, seeing the bottom of the green stone that hung in the necklace he had given her.... he had protected her when she had been most vunderable. Her wing was still tender from being broken all those months earlier, but at least she could use it.... she had Zeeke and his family to owe for that.
She contemplated something for a moment, "Do..." she paused, hesitated, gulped then finally spoke; "...you think it would be wrong of me to ask for some time alone with him?"

Drashi paused again, he longed to get home but this was just as important.... his knowlegde of romance wasn't very good, half was rubbish and half was magical, but in the end it all came down to the person you were with. To trust, to true love, to wanting the same things.
So Drashi nodded, "Yes, it will be enough. You do not have to try hard to keep a flame ignited. He loves you Sato, of that I am sure, and because of that he will indulge in every little touch no matter how brief or soft. He will dream of you, hold you close and long to protect you from all harm. He will want to be selfish, to keep you all to himself, yet at the same time want to grant you whatever your heart desires." He smiled at her, pausing for a moment so that she could think about it. "Go to him. I am sure he is waiting."
And with that Drashi turned back to his own path and continued on, it was only as he took several steps that he realised he had not directly answered her final question, so shouting over his shoulder he said, "He will do anything to please you. Just ask."
It wouldn't take Drashi long to get home, he longed to see his family.... and perhaps today he would tell his father of the new developments in his love life. A smile licked his lips, or perhaps he would keep her his little secret... for now at least.

Sato stood still for a moment. Thinking about his words, about the truth she heard ringing in each and everyone. She had known this deep down, but hearing someone say it was reassuring.
"Thank you!" She called after Drashi, before turning and sprinting as fast as her legs could carry her back to Zeeke's side. For him she would move a mountain.... cross oceans and desserts.... she would do anything. She had simply needed reminding that the cloud that covered her thoughts was not a perminant one, that it was simply a cloud shroading the way, her true hopes and dreams were the same as ever.
He legs nearly crumpled beneith her from the exersion. The mountain side was great.
"Zeeke...." she called, panting and huffing, "...I'm home!" The biggest smile of her life hung upon her face like a shining moon.
