Gishoni grunted as pain flooded his face causing him to wince and close his eyes. He had to hand it to the SOB that had him pinned that he was just as ruthless as any Kalona.... and that was something he could actually respect.
Plus... in truth Gishoni was in the wrong place. He needed to find the Imp herd and fast, he had a little mare who needed to be tore a new one and he could only do that alive and kicking. "Fine." He grunted in defeat. "But first you have to get the ******** off me!" He narrowed his eyes and watched his opponant.... now the ball was in his court.

Haishan Fai watched in disbelief for a moment... surely there was some kind of trick to the Kalona's words? After all.... it seemed to easy.
"And how can I believe you will actually leave?" He asked, unwilling to simply give up his hold incase he was tricked....
...yet with each moment that passed he could feel himself drifting closer to unconsiousness. He was loosing blood and fast.

"You can't I suppose.... " Gishoni growled in frustration, flashing his teeth as his anger bubbled. He did not like being pinned like this.... much less by a wind.
"So.... you will just have to trust me. Or I suppose I can simply wait for you to pass out from blood lose, eat your sorry arse and be on my way. Your choice."

Unable to think completely clearly as his head started to pound he knew he had no choice but to trust the Kalona... something he had always swore he would never do. But the beast was right.... much longer and he would be out cold, with no means to protect himself, his mate or his herd.
"Fine," He reluctantly said as he eased up his hold on the Kalona before jumping backwards. It was taking all of his concentration to stay standing on his four hooves.
Now it was Haishan Fai's turn to wait. Would he be betrayed? Most likely.... he braced himself for an attack, using the last reserves of his energy to stand strong. For his mate, his herd, himself. He repeated the words like a mantra in his mind, gaining strength from them. His life could not end here.... not today, not like this.

Grunting Gishoni got to his hooves again. He looked at his opponant... tempted for a moment to finish the job he had started. But for once he decided to honor his words, a rare day indeed.
Turning Gishoni started back the way he had come..... he would find what he was looking for. It was only a matter of when rather than if.

Haishan Fai let out a deep breath of relief as the Kalona turned around. Today was his lucky day after all it seemed. "Thank Moon." He said as he watched for a moment longer before finally giving into the pain of his injuries.
Slowly he started back to the herd lands, knowing deep in his heart that someone would find him and heal him back to health. Guilt tore through him. He had promised Tuli that he wouldn't fight anymore, knew in his heart that she would be worried he had returned to his old life... or that something worst was headed towards her family. So much bad stuff had happened lately, and he didn't want to worry her.... but what could he do?
Nothing.
He would simply have to make it up to her... somehow.
