Messy but readable, that was good, he had a teacher in school with similar writing. Taking the sheet with Matthew's information, he slipped it into his tote bag. He'd program it into his phone later, and he might leave a copy of it by his computer.

"A good tactic, but helping in others ways is also good. Is it hard...fighting senshi when you yourself are one? Even though your not the same?" He hoped that wasn't too personal, it could be. And he didn't care to make other members of the negaverse uncomfortable, it wouldn't do well to do such. So jobs weren't the same, but there was the allowance to do the same job, for the senshi who were corrupted.

"I have, just don't tell your sister. She told me to run if I saw an eternal...and I didn't. Well, I tried but I wound up sleeping. They didn't want to fight though. But I have a feeling if your sister finds out she'll put her little weapons to good use." Or at least threaten him, maybe just freak out? He wasn't too sure but he was sure it wouldn't be a good reaction.

"I see, so nothing in particular to expect, not something I like." Again he was finding himself disliking the mystery presented to him. It seemed things were changing for him, slow in some areas but fast in others. He'd think on it later, in private. It seemed his life, his way of thinking, was going down paths he'd never thought they would. He wasn't sure what path he would find himself going down in the end, what result would come of these new paths he was traveling. It hadn't all been so unknown to him. He knew he'd go to school, graduate, go to college and do well. He'd even recently decided to move in with Lily and possible open a flower nursery. Now he wasn't sure on anything beyond attending high school.

"That helps though, knowing at least some of what is possible." It helped a lot, he'd definitely be keeping track of such things in a notebook he'd keep under his bed.

"Did this, becoming a corrupted senshi, change your life? The way you think and see things?" He questioned. He doubted he was the only one. But he was noticing it in himself more and more as of recently.

"Not really, but... I've never been among them." He didn't have whatever... feelings for the side that others might.

"After this." He gestured to their cups. "I could take you to my apartment ? It's not far away at all, and we can talk a little more freely." There were things he wanted to say, but doing so here was just... unsafe.

Technically they were already unsafe as is, but Matthew was certain everyone else was too far away to hear their hushed words. He took another sip of his cup. Ah, perfect at last - so the little bag was discarded to the side of his plate.

"You got lucky. She could probably have killed you, you know. The senshi, not my sister. She'd probably go stern momma mode on you, but I really don't think she would stab you. It's counter-productive."

"I don't think it's possible to be in this and not have your life changed, really." He hadn't been in here long, and the question made it evident. "There's just... so much no one else even knows... Truths that others do not want to see... It'd a lot to take in, I know."

"That would be good, to talk freely, and to see where I may be called." It would be best if he knew where he was going, ahead of time. Just so he didn't get lost and wind up taking longer to arrive, in case he was really needed by the purple haired male.

"True, though I'm sure she wouldn't mind threatening me. But yeah, I was in a residential area. Near homes, no where to run over over fences and such. I wound up taking an attack, I didn't see or even hear it. I found myself waking up with her near me and my brush on the ground next to her. I'm lucky I got one who won't fight unless to defend herself." He'd been really lucky, he would talk more about it later though, when they were somewhere safer. He'd give whatever details he could. Maybe he'd find out just how bad it could have been, if this senshi was known and had a reputation.

"I'm already finding myself disliking the unknown, more and more. I've always liked mysteries, and being able to ponder them and not have answers. Slowly I'm starting to dislike them." At least when it came to this, he'd been content before to watch things on the tv and wonder just which story on the news was right. He'd thought the magical attacks CG'd in. Now he knew otherwise and he didn't like the idea of not knowing everything he could.

"Some things I still don't mind having left that way, but the fact I want answers rather than imagining all manner of things, is new." He saw the need for the change but he wasn't sure if he should be pleased or not abut it.

"Information is good. There are many who don't even know what they're fighting for." At least that he'd noticed. He thought it irresponsible, and it was perhaps what had decided him to take on part of Zinkenite's mission, so to speak.

"It... kind of feels like this is all some part of an elaborate story, sometimes." Another sip. "So surreal... but it's reality. And it shouldn't be."

"I think once I know everything, at least everything I can glean from others and find for myself, I'll feel like that also. Right now...I think I'm dealing with shock." Shock of a new reality, of an eye opening experience and a whoel new world opening up around him, not to mention he felt himself changing. The days of fairy's and unicorns was over, to put it whimsical terms, the fantasy and mystery loving was over. He needed answers and he needed to know everything which he could.

It was a shocking thing to realize and he was doing just that. Slowly at first, starting with Zinkenite and their words, and now even more so. It had started even more with that Eternal senshi. He was on the ropes with her, in speaking terms. She was lacking in information but she clearly knew more than he did, and he felt that so clearly that evening. His challenge to her, to find her answers and he'd find his, to meet again. He would go through with his end of it, his love for the mysteries of life were shattering even as he sat here speaking. He needed answers, to have the answers for whenever they met again, and for himself. He had gotten into this to fight for his own freedom, he wouldn't allow someone else to fight for his freedom, but there was more to it.

A continuation of an ancient war, a Princess, and aliens. The senshi were aliens and yet that Eternal had said they weren't, she was born here the same as he himself. He needed to know how a senshi was both. More importantly to understand this past war that had jumped how many years; hundreds he assumed, had continued and why? What was the goal, he'd been told to take over the Earth. But then what? There had to be more, you didn't just take over and then sit on your hands and do nothing.

Distantly he felt the hold on his cup tighten as he brought it to his lips. Sipping slowly, calmly even, he didn't care to give away that his mind was running a marathon in his head with all manner of thought. But he needed to understand, to know, every little detail he could. He needed to know it all and organize it all into his head, and likely on paper.

"I believe I compared the senshi to Harry Potter, when I met Zinkenite." He spoke finally, coming out of his own thoughts. "Just a general lack of wands being the only difference."

Matthew wasn't sure how in interpret the blonde's long silence, but did nothing to rip him out of it. He knew what it was like, to be new at all this.

He didn't even have all the answers he sought, even if some days he was convinced he had. It looked more and more like the senshi were beyond hope, but a part of him didn't want to stop thinking that somewhere... Somehow... One of them might understand, at least.

Most days, it only felt futile, and after the eternal... He was even less convinced it was possible.

He wasn't much for Harry Potter, so the comparison was more or less lost on him. "I still... Don't have all the answers I want. I don't think it's possible to have all of them."

He finished his cup calmly, then waited for Alexandre to do the same.

"Likely so, unfortunately. I would like to have as many answers as possible though." He answered, finishing his own drink in a few gulps. The warm liquid helping to calm him as he set the cup down.

He'd be up a good part of the evening, as a result of the late night caffeine, but he didn't mind that. He was a late night owl in the summer, and somehow managed to get up at a fairly decent hour; some time before noon.

"I don't like the fact I came up short in verbal come backs against the senshi I met a few evenings back. It made my lack of knowledge apparent and shook my beliefs only because I do not know if her words or what little I know is true. I don't want that to happen again. I'm sure were right, but I need the proof." The answers, so he had ammunition.

"Shall we go?" To the others apartment, to talk in private.

"We should." Matthew said with a nod. He had an idea of what could convince him... But he hadn't been there then.

Fluorite had... but would she want to talk about it ? Would she be upset if he spoke of it ? He was weighting those options while the waitress came, and the boys paid for their drinks.

"Did you come on foot ? It's really not far from here."

"No, by car." Car being an suv. "I don't mind walking. But from home to here is a distance I'd prefer not to walk." He lived outside the city, so the walk to the city was one he didn't like and doubted he could honestly make. He was not a walker, or athletic. Sports and such were simply not his thing, and likely never would be.

"I do apologize, in advance, if my questions are in any way beyond what I should ask. I simply don't like being in the position I was in the other evening and wish to correct that." With the waitress paid he stood slowly, grabbing his tote bag and his cell phone. His phone was slid into his left side back pocket, the right one holding his wallet. His tote bag tossed over a shoulder. The jar sitting on the table still.

"That's fine." Matthew certainly would have no problem telling the boy to back off - hopefully not too rudely, but given how blunt he could be... But if he could help, he would.

The jar was taken and slid into Matthew's own bag, and he winced a bit when he got up. "...Would you mind driving to my place ? I think the painkillers are wearing out..."

Through he had been on an energy high when coming here. It had probably helped.

"That's fine, better you deal with as little pain as possible." Motioning the other to follow him he head the way out of the cafe. Parked a few shops down was a black suv, luxury edition. It wasn't anything too expensive, or well maybe it was. He honestly was clueless in that regard.

"Just point me in the right direction." And hopefully there would be a parking space near to where they had to park. Matthew wasn't the only blunt person, though he was learning to hold his tongue at some points. It was still a hard thing to do. Hopefully the talk went well.

It was, indeed, just a short way from the cafe to his apartment complex - up the road, turn left, and it was right there. "The visitors' parking is at the back." It would have been easier to have him take his own parking slot, but it was occupied by his own car.

Through he noted that Sebastian's car was gone. Did he have D&D tonight ? If it was the case, then his roommate wouldn't be here for awhile. Which... was nice, actually, in this case, given what they would be talking about. Sebby didn't need to know about his double-life, or worry needlessly.

Once parked, it was an easy way in, The stairs took him some time, embarrassingly enough, but eventually they reached the door and Matthew unlocked it.

It was clearly an apartment shared by two nerds - gaming posters everywhere, game systems clearly visible, but it was kept rather clean.

Matthew sat on the couch then, hoping his guest wouldn't mind him going for his own comfort. "So... What questions did you have in mind ?"

It really was nearby, not that he doubted the others words, but it was closer than he'd thought. He didn't know why he didn't think it was that close. But it was nice to know the other hadn't walked so far.

Alexandre had considered helping the other with the stairs, but didn't think it proper to do in public. Least someone get the wrong idea or think the other weak or any such thing. Instead he walked right behind the other up the stairs, in case he was needed in a supporting manner.

The apartment was indeed clean, though it was obvious two nerds lived here. That didn't bother him, it was clean and organized enough that it didn't bother him. Alexandre liked order, neatness. He made sure his room and greenhouse were both organized, so he liked to see it in other places as well.

"I'm told the senshi are aliens...and yet the one I encountered assured me she was born here. How are both things, which are by nature incompatible, possible?" He asked, going right for one thing which had been nagging at him, as he found a seat for himself. One leg crossing the other, and his bag seated on the floor. He wasn't worried over it becoming dirty here, as normally it never touched the ground. "And what evils have these senshi done? Seeing as I've yet to see any proof to their less than honorable actions."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 30, 2011 5:59 pm

Matthew could answer both those questions easily, but... He gestured for Alexandre to take place beside him. This was going to be a long story, especially the latter.

"Well, the thing is." He started. "Senshi... were reborn here, as humans, until the day the power awakens within them with the help of a guardian cat. But, you will find, every senshi is named after a star, a moon, an asteroid, a constellation... a celestial body. This is the star they were born on a long time ago, the star they protected and lived on. Each of these stars, from what I heard... Were populated, much like Earth was. The emphasis here... is were."

Indeed. "Each of these stars were destroyed by the hands of those who were supposed to protect it. Their populations died, their stars and moons and asteroids wiped of life. And now they are here... And they are likely to do the same of Earth, as it's own senshi once even achieved."

Sailor Earth. The tale was chilling. He wasn't sure if the other boy was ready to hear it. It had shaken him to his core.

There had been a certain guilt in his voice, as he spoke the latter part. The guilt that, yes, he had done the same to his own home... Whatever it had been. "Senshi... hold power and are unafraid to abuse it."

Moving from his seat, across from the other, he sat next to him. Toeing off his shoes he drew his legs up. Settling indian style as he faced the purple haired male fully. Listening to him speak. So that was it, reincarnations, that explained things better. So they were born here, but their soul...wasn't from here. This was really sounding like a book found in the fantasy section of a book store, or library.

But this was real life, and he was a part of it now. He had to know this all, and understand it, as impossible as it may sound. "So they...destroyed their own homes? But how, and why? Why destroy their own home over this one, which isn't theirs?" Why would someone destroy a whole star, a whole populace which depended on them? The very idea was horrendous, unjust, and cruel beyond words. People who depended on you killed them, destroyed your own home.

"They come here, from another place, and wish to take over but not abide by the laws here? What would they do if they won, if they took over? And would it than all turn into a battle between them all, to decide who would rule here? I doubt they all could, ego's and the like. But...why Earth? Why do they not return to their original homes, nurture it. Why still seek what was never theirs?" Was it greed? Was there something here they wanted or needed?

hearing the guilt, it wasn't hard to notice and put together with what was being said. "That was the past. Your making up for it, defending the Earth and freedom of the people here. It's the best, and the most, you can do. It's what were all doing." Somehow he didn't like the guilt in the others voice, it was wrong. He didn't like it being there. "These other senshi...they should feel shame and guilt over their past and continued actions. But I completely doubt they know such things, at least in regard to this." He spoke honestly, his voice serious and also trying to sooth the others guilt.

"Why do you not bare the name of a celestial body?"
