Hi Diary,
well you are a skechbook but also a diary. I gotted you a looooong tym ago, but I never wroted anything. I hav a big famly!
Papa, Mama, Kindle, an' lotsa other peeple too.
Uncle an' Castor an' Pollux all gone on a trip! Papa sayd that Uncle sings to make money an' he gotta go on a toower, so they all lefted. Mama's sister Kyle went too!
Now its all kwiet. I like that.

met friens. nikki and sha. nikki is too loud. sha is nice.
Papa didn like nikki. too pink. too loud. nikki makes me think of caster an polluks. wunder how they doin. bye now, diner tym.

Hi Diary,
I grew! So did Kindle. I moved into the dorms but Kindle said she wanted to stay at home for now. I'm there a lot anyways, Papa is still unreasonably protective. He was really upset I wanted to move out! Mama convinced him it was okay though.
My roommate is cool. She's kinda weird in some ways but I have a weird family so I'm used to it.
There's gonna be a ball! I'm going. I don't care what Papa says about school events. I'm GOING to the ball.

Papa and Mama were gonna take us into town soon, so we could go pick out some things for our dorms, or well... rooms... Kindle doesn't want to move out. But anyway, then the Elders said there's a murderer or two on the loose? Now Papa is refusing to let us leave campus, and I think Mama agrees with him.
I guess I understand, but this sucks! I wanted to see what the outside world looked like... I feel stifled, even though I have my own room out of the house now. Maybe I can convince him to let me go if Uncle Sono takes me. Oh! I have a new cousin! His name is Quin, he's pretty funny.
I dunno... something tells me that Papa won't think I'm safe no matter WHO takes me.
I wanna grow up soon so I can take care of myself.
