Carnivore watched as she set the stones in a circle around the twigs. He was confused when she tossed the special fire stone at it. So he stood in silence watching as she moved the twigs and then threw it again. His eyes went wide as the fire came to life. Oh so that's how one got fire from a stone. It gave him an idea that he could use for later and so he locked this information away for later and continued to watch.

Seeing Tilly prance around the fire, adding things they had gathered and chanting words made him feel...well he wasn't sure what it was, but he kind of liked it. Of course all that went away when he saw her rush to get the bird on the fire and then walk away dejected. Something had gone wrong. Carnivore walked over to the bird to see it lying atop of blackened sticks. Was the bird supposed to come back to life? He touched it with his hoof and then gave his shoulders a shrug.

"Can gather again." He said as he turned to face Tilly. She looked so sad, he wanted to fix it, he couldn't explain why be he needed to make her feel better. Walking over to where she lay Carnivore lowered his head, bumping it gently against her before nipping at her ear - not enough for it to hurt, but in a sort of playful manner. "Carnivore not like Tilly sad." What could he do to make her feel happy again? Where was that feisty little mare that he had taken as his pet the other day? He bumped his head against her body, Carnivore wasn't good with affection, he didn't really know how it worked, but he vaguely remembered as a foal his mother touching her nose to him and it making him, well Nameless, feel better.

Voodoo? Magick? He...had no idea what she was talking about really, but he nodded his head as if he understood. She was obviously trying to accomplish something, exactly what he wasn't sure. His eyes moved to the bird. He was hungry after a day of training but she still needed it, he would just need to hunt himself up a meal later. At least Tilly was looking and sounding upbeat once again.

What did he wish for? Well there were a few things but one stuck out more than anything else. "Carnivore want to be strong, to defeat father." He walked back towards the middle of the clearing as she set about doing whatever it was she was doing this time. "Carnivore want Tilly. Want Tilly to..." He faded there for a moment as he tried to think up the right word to use. He wanted Tilly to what? Never leave his side, stay with him for eternity, be his and only his. They were all pretty much the same thing really.

"...want Tilly to be Carnivores." He finally finished his thought and as she moved past him he nipped at her flank gently. Oh the spell had worked alright, whether it was the voodoo or not was hard to tell, but Tilly had Carnivore wrapped around her little hoof and he could do nothing against that - not that he would change that really.

Carnivore could not help but bobbed his head very enthusiastically at Tilly. Oh yes, he wanted her. Wasn't it obvious? Perhaps not, but seemed she knew now. He would need to make sure she remember this in the future. "Carnivore want Tilly." He repeated the words with another bob of his head. It's why he hadn't let her leave his lands. "Tilly stay with Carnivore...forever." He didn't know exactly how long forever was, but it seemed like a good amount of time for them to be together.

He had nearly forgotten about his wish for strength when she told him to stand in the middle of the circle. He made his way to the center, careful not to disturb at of the sticks she had so carefully placed. Once there he stood still and looked towards his mare. "Carnivore be strong for Tilly, Carnivore protect Tilly."

Ah if only her voodoo could make Love disappear. Though until he had defeated his father he sadly needed Love still around to make sure his training was complete. After that Love could damn well bugger off and leave him and Tilly alone.

Carnivore tried to keep his eyes on Tilly as she moved about. He listened to the words of the chant, he liked the sound of them. They gave him purpose, it felt like the chant had been written just for him. Maybe it had, he would have to ask. When she stopped Carnivore looked down at her and then saw her smile quickly fade away. He wasn't sure if it worked, he didn't know what would happen to signal his new power from her voodoo but there was no flash of light, no boom of power. And yet...he felt pretty darn good right now, better than before she had placed the magic upon him. Of course it could be all just in his head.

"Carnivore feel...different." He finally said after she apologized for it not working. "Carnivore think it worked." Even if it didn't the knowledge that she had tried to improve his strength meant more to him than anything else. He bend his head down and nipped at her. "Tilly do for Carnivore. Carnivore do something for Tilly. What Till want?" True, he had already gathered the necessary items she needed for her voodoo, but surely there was something she wanted that he could do for her. Especially if the spell did actually work and he became stronger, powerful, he would need to repay her for her work.

He instantly say the change in her face. There was hope there and he liked to keep it that way. He pranced out from the middle of the circle testing his muscles. They moved fluidly, pulsing under his coat with each step. Carnivore circled around Tilly for a moment. "Feel stronger." He gave a bob of his head. While that was truth or not it was hard to tell, but he did feel confident and he had already been strong before he met her, so perhaps she added strength to him in a different way.

When she stated that she wanted to remain happy like this forever he lowered his head and gave her a small bump on the nose with his. "Carnivore make Tilly happy?" He was certain that he did. "Carnivore keep Tilly happy...forever."

Love snorted. His hooves were dragging. That stallion was getting a bit too strong to be sparring with on a daily basis... Groaning he peeked up at the sky... it was growing dark.

Walking in Love saw Carnivore and Tilly... "Guys seriously... go somewhere private to do that..."

He sighed and walked through Tilly's circle and to his bed. Plopping ungracefully down he glanced at the dead bird the fire pit and then the two of them. "What happened here?"

Tilly grinned. "Alright." Her head was tossed and then she moved out into the open. "Don't worry love... its all normal... I got a bit cold... and Carnivore thought a fire would warm me... " Sidling up to Carnivore she glanced at love. "We will see you tomorrow ok... I wanna watch you boys train... I may learn how to protect my self... then i wont need to very burly bodyguards..."

Smiling she flicked her tail and shuffled her feet slightly... "Its getting dark... we wanna make it to where we are going before its too dark we cant see..."

With one last look to Love Tilly left the clearing... she would wait for Carnivore and Love to say good bye... she didn't know how emotional it would be...

Carnivore found Tilly's description of what had happened in the clearing a bit off, she hadn't gotten cold and he certainly hadn't thought up the idea of starting a fire. He watched Tilly watch out of the clearing, he could still see her in the trees so she hadn't gone too far before stopping to wait for him. Attention swiveled back to Love. "Carnivore not done with training. Be back in morning. Carnivore want to be alone with Tilly." Hopefully Love would catch on, mare and stallion wanting privacy, he really shouldn't have to completely spell it out because honestly he wasn't sure how to explain it.

He looked towards where Tilly was waiting and then back to Love. "Carnivore go now, ready for training in morning." And with that he turned and headed to where Tilly was then began to lead her to where a nice little clearing was, it wasn't all that far really. "Get there before dark." He assured her giving her rump a nudge with his nose. Besides, he could see in the dark pretty darn well, a skill that would come in very handy once they arrived.
