Roch looked at the star blankly for a long moment before letting his guitar disappear and patting his pockets. He frowned a bit more darkly, then stuck his hand into his pants pocket, digging around. "No... no... no..." he muttered, pulling his hand out and moving to another pocket. He spent a good two minutes rummaging around in that one, as well.
"I could have sworn I put it in here!" he said, moving on to the next one, then the next. "When I was at the festival I went to Riley's booth. She was shooting these stuffed cannon cats out of a cannon and I shot one with a paintball gun. She tossed me a star, kinda like those," he said. "But... I can't find it now. Jackdammit, I forgot that these were the pants Danny burnt," he muttered, feeling the patch he'd sewn on. "I must have forgotten to fix the pocket."

Petro did recall that there was some form of shooting event at Riley's booth but he had wandered off before he got a chance to try. He wasn't really one for projectiles. "Y' think Riley got hers from here? But that don't sound right. Why'd she even be messing with my traps?" It didn't sound like something the mind flayer would do. Or was it? Naw, if she wanted something in the horse boil's traps all she'd have to do was ask for it. His thumb brushed absently over the red gem within the star when it jumped out of his hand, beginning to vibrate and emit a bright, blinding light. When the light faded, standing proudly atop the pile of other stars was... was that a pony? That looked frighteningly like Petro? Petro slowly turned to Roch, looking less than pleased by how cute the minipet was. "Y' mind taking one off'v my hands?"

He looked at the pony, then grinned. "Sure!" Roch said cheerfully. "Those are awesome, man, they look a lot like you, but... a lot cuter. No, like, a million times cuter. You're a lot more terrifying," he added in a reassuring way, holding out his hand. What he didn't say was that he could see Riff riding the poor little pony everywhere.

Petro looked darkly at Roch, folding his arms across his bare chest to glower, "Y'r jacking right I ain't cute." He plucked one of the other stars amongst the traps and handed it over to the reaper. In the back of Petro's head, he was sorely hoping only this current pony would look like him and that the other stars would imprint on whoever held them for some time. The monster horse was going to be in for a most unpleasant surprise. "Y' don't gotta stick around anymore. Don't think there'd be anything other'n these jacking stars to catch now," he muttered.

"Alright, but hey, if I ever catch a couple of bunny wunny we can have a barbecue together, okay?" Roch offered, careful not to put the star in the jean pocket that was holey this time. "Thanks, by the way," he added with a grin before walking off.
Barbecue. His mouth was drooling just thinking of it. Maybe he should start hunting, too!
