He didn't retreat this time when she reached out t him, though he was watching her. She wasn't like he'd thought, but he still wasn't going to trust her. "I don't see why it matters how I am. A lie or not it's not your concern and I'm out looking to solve this...set back." He stated, the slow and measured way he said the last two words, and the dislike given to the words. He didn't like being in the shape he was in.
"And yet you fight a war against other people born here, the same as you say you are." He stated, calmly as he slowly climbed up to his feet. "My brush?" He questioned, looking to the paintbrush laying so innocently on the grass next to her.
She wasn't an alien, and yet she did as she did and he was told she was. he'd find out the answer to that, not from her though.

She frowned, "it matter because you are human. I would not see you die because you were out when you are ill," she said leaving no room for questions. It was a war and he could die point blank.
She sighed and shook her head, "Am I fighting you now? Yes I attacked you to stop you from running because I want to understand, understand you who calls me an alien, but I have no intent of hurting you. I fight to stay alive, to defeat those who seek to kill me when they know nothing about me. Is that really so wrong? Is it so wrong to defend my life and the lives of the other thrown into this war? They would see me dead because I am a senshi," she said before picking up the brush on the ground and handing it to the other.
She eyes probably darken some when she spoke the next part," they would see me dead or tool. A tool with its heart seed plucked from its body. A tool to do their bidding. Yes I fight against that. Not because I was told."
Maia was a far cry different from the senshi she had been even just a few months back. She had grown and she had matured surprising herself with how much she really knew and how her opinions reflected it.

Listening, even as he took his brush back. Listening and measuring her words he planned his own response. He didn't like to simply blurt things out, he thought out his words. Finally he found himself answer her words.
"A human who other senshi would kill, uncaring of such a fact. I was born and raised here. I've heard of the torture and killing that was committed by senshi, it would seem some are deserving of nothing short of the favor being returned. I don't trust those I do not know." And he didn't know her, and if she was like them or not. Or what she was like, though she was seeming more and more like she wouldn't torture, maim, or kill him. But still, where does ones draw the line with trust? When does one cross it, without knowing it, and trust the wrong person?
"You speak about wrongness, to be attacked and to defend ones self. It is not wrong, but why defend others in this war? Unless they are civilians they should defend themselves!" He stated, his voice rising and than lowering. "To allow someone else to fight for you, rather than do it yourself, the person who does that doesn't deserve safety. They should learn to protect themselves." Assuming she spoke of other senshi, and not civilians.
"Those who seek to kill you, and do not know you. The same can be said for us I am sure. It seems both sides can complain about similar things. That does not mean I will hold some kinship with you or your kind. This is war, and I intend to keep alive and defend the Earth from those who wish to claim it as theirs or another persons'. For those who have not the ability to defend their freedom and for my own." But he wouldn't attack her, not tonight. He knew better anyway, but also he didn't feel he was in danger right now. Though he could be wrong. It was why he was willing to take off again if he needed to.

Maia shook her head, "I care that you all we're born and raised here and I do not wish to simply senselessly kill those who stand against for reasons I do not fathom and have never been properly explained to me. I understand that you wouldn't trust someone you do not know and I'm sure rumors to not foster feeling of trust, but all you can do is judge for yourself. Beside the rumors you heard belong to a select few."
Maia looked up to the sky, " as for the defense of others. I defend those who need it. There are civilians more than capable of doing so themselves as well as senshi unable to do so. Is that not why you ran from me? If I aimed to kill you would you die than to have someone defend you, despite having the ability to defend yourself."
Maia stood and moved away, "I would not expect you to do so and as for claiming earth, I do not know a single senshi who wishes to do so, so it seems to me that you are defending the earth from nothing. I wish for you to find me again when you see fit and I would like very much to show you something. I hope your hands remain clean in the war."
With that Maia jumped clean up onto the nearest rooftop, but continued to look down at the other, listening if he chose to respond to her words.

"When all one has is the words of others, and not the time to have seen it themselves, I must go by the rumors and words of others. As for why, I cannot say the reason for the fighting. I have only gained some insight. Perhaps you should do some digging in that area." He spoke, perhaps he should as well. He knew it was an ancient fight, a Princess, and taking over the Earth when they were from the Moon. He knew these senshi weren't from here either.
Looking up, watching her on the rooftop. "And when the time comes to speak again, how is it that I'll contact you? And you will look into things on your end? Perhaps find your answers." And he would find his. Mysterious which needed solving, despite his usual dislike for such. He didn't answer her, about asking for defense; for himself, if it were needed. He didn't like the idea of dieing but would he call for someone? To continue this war he very well might, he was almost sure of this in fact.
Perhaps this senshi was the odd one, the one who wasn't like what he'd heard. And he'd gotten the lucky hand to find her. That was good, very good in fact.

Maia frowned lightly at him wanting to find her, but she answered him none the less. There weren't too many eternals so it wouldn't be to hard, "if you want to find me, go to the main park, if I am there I am sure you will know."
She was there a lot, not all the time, but often at different times in the night. She turned and headed off pondered the words of the other. He was right, she need to get more answers, but at least she had gotten what she had thus far and from a newbie at that. She wondered if one day she would be able to convince him of her words or to trust her.
She went to the point where it wasn't safe for her to be Maia and head to her house, so she hid away and turned back before heading home, going in the back, climbing the stairs and getting into her bed. She had a lot to think about, still in no time she was sleep tired from the night odd encounter.

He'd have to ask Flourite about things, as soon as he was feeling better. Right now though he had to work on feeling better, meaning energy stealing and going to bed. Energy was kept, to fulfill his duties, but some was consumed as well. Not a lot but enough. He had gotten close to his own house. He knew of some neighbors he had who did late night jogs. But he did get to the edges of the city in order to collect enough to feel safe in what he'd gathered. His pocket, for which he was glad to have it, held little orbs of energy.
He had been lucky tonight, no more senshi run in's. One his way back to Lily's he thought about what would happen at the meeting with Maia, whenever it took place. He had better have the answers he sought by then, they could puzzle things out. Or at least that was the idea, if what he had been told by Zinkenite and Flourite was correct than perhaps he could sway her to his side; their side? He didn't know what he'd do if she was more just in her side. He doubted it though.
Changing, when he was getting close to Lily's home, he felt faint but managed to get himself in through a back door and get up to his guest room and tucked himself back in to bed. He'd talk to Flourite tomorrow night.
