He might have argued the point with her, but Carnivore was more focused on Love at this point than anything else. Facing his mentor eyes narrowed Carnivore's left ear turned to face Tilly behind him. Well she may think the she wasn't his right now but soon she would realize that she did indeed belong to him and openly accept that in front of others. For now, for this very moment, he would allow her to think and believe such things for he had a bigger problem on his hands.
Snarling Carnivore flashed his sharpened canines at Love. How dare he laugh at him! Tossing his head Carnivore snorted. "Not forget about training." He said in an irritated tone, he had merely had to take care of something first before meeting up with Love. "Tilly walk is she want to, Carnivore not stop her from using her legs." Stupid Love. Stupid little mare. So many frustrations in life. "Can train after get Tilly place to rest." His ears were pinned back, letting Love know that he would not give up on this, training could wait a few moments longer, besides they trained from practically sunrise to sundown every day, missing a very small portion of that couldn't be that big of deal.

Tilly flicked her tail and carefully looked over love. She yawned. "Well love...Carni...If you will excuse me...im planning to walk my aching bones to that patch of trees." She moved her ears to Carnivore. "Aren't you going to walk me Carni?" She glanced at love and then started forward movement until she was rudely blocked by the paint stallion. She grumbled.
"Fine... you win... " Letting her ears swivel back she heard the distant roar of thunder moving in... "Can we at least talk on our way to the safe dry resting place i have been so nicely teased with... ok... ok..." She took a step back before gathering herself to move through the hulking stallion if need be.
She snorted and kicked off only to be let past and so she was running for the trees.

Love rolled his eyes and watched the small mare. Dear lord she was bossy. He watched her fidget and he watched her movements. And he smirked when she puffed up. He was intrigued... very intrigued. However, when she started moving he stepped in front of her. "Tilly, my dear, why would you want to walk with that beast of a stallion? Let me walk you instead..." As she bolted by, Love glanced at Carnivore and reared up to trot after the small mare.
Calling over his shoulder he flicked his tail "Lets go Carni... your... mistress beckons..."He smirked. Oh...Carnivore was going to have hell to pay... at least from love stories... the jokes filed unbidden into his brain...

Carnivore tossed his head angrily as Love stepped in the way of Tilly. Just what did he think he was doing? He better not try to steal her away when he wasn't looking. Obviously he would need to pay attention to the stallions location whenever they were training or his prize may get taken away from him. As Tilly bolted away Carnivore followed suit, being sure to shoulder Love aside as he did so. "Mine!" He growled in a low tone for only the stallion to hear before placing himself beside Tilly.
Lowering his head so he could whisper into Tilly's ear. "Stop calling Carnivore Carni, name Carnivore." Honestly part of his didn't mind the nickname but he couldn't stand the laughing and jokes from Love. Another boom of thunder in the distance and Carnivore used his nose to urge Tilly onward. "Storm coming, Tilly get to safe place. Carnivore protect Tilly...Love mind his own business." He said the last part loud enough for Love to hear and waited for another onslaught of laughing and jokes.

Tilly glanced up at Carnivore with a smile. "Thanks." The fact that he was worrying about her and what she assumed was her fear of storms. She walked just a smidgen closer to the body next to her. When Love came up on her other side she grinned. No one would dare want to come and try to take her away with her lovely new body guards.
With a glance over her shoulder she tossed her head. "Come on Carni... you know you fit the name better then Carnivore... Carnivore is so serious..." Tilly smiled and flicked her tail. However when the thunder roared she startled slightly. "Alright boys... lets play... get Tilly to the trees."
Her eyes watched as the storm clouds grew darker. Trees... she needed trees. Anything. She felt the rain start to drip down. One drop landed on her rump... and then the next landed smack dab on her nose... and then the sky opened up and fell. She shivered and moved a bit more to trot under the stallion. Her nose peeked out and she laughed. "Carni... you make a great cover."

Love snorted as Carnivore passed him. He flicked his tail and shook his head however he took his place next to Tilly. However the little mare surprised him by finding a way to get out of the rain. His tail flicked.
Carefully he smirked. "Tilly... im taller then Carnivore... it may be easier to walk if you come over here." He glanced at Carnivore... "Im sure Carni wouldn't mind... Would you... Carni?" He glanced at the small mare who was having to trot to match the slow walk that they were moving at. Poor dear... it must really be a scary worked without the size that normal horses.
He snorted and heard the rumbled of thunder and then the first flash of lightning.

He couldn't help but huff, Carni did not fit him well. How could he strike fear into the hearts of his enemies if he went by Carni. At least with Carnivore it was a bit more intimidating. When Tilly startled Carnivore's head snapped up ready to kill whatever had done that. It had just been the storm and if there was a way he could run into the sky he would and teach that storm a lesson or two. As the rain started Carnivore got a smile on his maw as Tilly choose him for shelter over Love. He had flashed the other stallion a slightly look before Love starting going on about height differences.
"Tilly use Carnivore to keep dry, not Love." He made sure to slow down his pace so Tilly didn't have to struggle to keep up. It would mean they would take a bit longer to get to the trees but Tilly would be safe and dry where she was. Snapping his teeth slightly at Love Carnivore continued forward, towards the shelter of the trees making sure to keep his pace good for Tilly and keep her as dry as possible the way the rain was coming down now.

Tilly appreciated the slow down only under the lightning came. then she really wished to be galloping. But the trees were only a bit farther ahead. She could wait that long.. she really wished that her two glorious knights would simply get along... for all she knew they would rather tear each other apart rather then get her to where she needed to be.
And that was just a few more yards ahead.
Tilly looked out from under Carnivore and glanced at love... "Love... can you go on ahead and make sure its all safe when we get there?" She was deliberately trying to get rid of Love... he was pissing off Carni who was simply fueling love's fire... "Carni did promise me a SAFE dry place..." She gave a smile and as she tucked her head under Carnivore once more... she brushed the side of her face along his leg... unintentionally ... of course...

Love looked from Tilly to Carnivore and back his eyes narrowing slightly... "ok... if you insist... Plus... carnivore couldn't do it... This is a job for a strong horse." He snorted and then flicked his tail. Lovely. Just lovely... he was the one being sent of. With a start he headed forward back into his home. He knew it was safe... not even a bunny inhabited their home... Carnivore would have seen to that...
With a snort he pushed his war into the underbrush. The places where he slept and carnivore slept were dry... everything else was soaking wet. He glanced back out to see them still a small bit away... He would have just enough time to make Carnivore's bed wet enough she wouldn't want to sleep over there with him...
Then it occurred to him that he was fighting one of his better friends for a mare... that talked to much... was too small to be anything but a pain... and had the looks of a free thinker... He snorted and rolled his eyes.. Pushing his way out he flicked his tail to give the all clear... and then moved to go lay down and listen to the storm.

Carnivore tossed his head in victory as Love was ordered away by Tilly. That's right, go check to make sure it's safe he thought as he continued to be a walking shelter for the small mare. The small bump on his leg caused him to snort, but in a good way, with a flick of his tail as Love indicated it was safe before disappearing again Carnivore led Tilly into the trees. It wasn't thick enough cover at first to protect her from the rain so he made sure she stayed underneath him until they finally reached the clearing.
He gave his mane a shake and then lowered his head looking between his front legs at the small mare. "Dry now, Tilly come out." Or she could stay there, he didn't mind...just a shame Love was around. Maybe he could move them to different clearing once the storm had passed, somewhere more private. For now, here in this clearing she would be dry, safe and well protected. There was plenty of grass for her to eat, even if he thought the stuff was disgusting and he could take her to the river for a drink once the storm passed.
At least Love didn't seem to be interested anymore...unless that was a rouse, well he would need to keep his eye on him for now. And pray also that Nameless didn't screw this up for him.

Tilly smiled and Wiggled her way out from underneath the stallion. "Thank you Carni...." she shook herself. While she wasn't wet it still felt good. She glanced over and smiled to Love. "Thank you for making sure everything was safe..." She grinned and brushed against Carnivore as she made her way to curl up in his little bed area. She yawned and lied down. "Carni... you can hear the storm so well from over here. "
Closing her eyes she smiled. There was something calming about a thunder storm... well once your safe that is. She grinned and peeked one eye open. "Thank you for helping me Carnivore... It means a lot... "
She sighed closing her eyes to listen to the storm move across the fields...

Love watched from his bed. It was kinda cute if he let his inner jealousy take a break. He smirked and watched Carnivore. This little mare had bewitched him good if she could pull the black stallion off his training regime... He tossed his head the smirked.
"So now what Carni... "
Loves eyes glimmered and looked around the clearing. He glanced to a pile of bones in the corner of the clearing. He wondered just how themare would react to knowing the stallion that she refused to call Carnivore... actually lived up to his name. Love raised an eyebrow and snorted. "Just because she is here doesn't mean you get to slack off..."

Once Tilly had moved out from under him Carnivore gave his body a thorough shaking. His eyes narrowed as Love spoke. The look silently told the older stallion to shut up and leave him alone. "Carnivore still train...not slack off." He would be almost willing to go out and train right now...except chances were the older stallion wouldn't want to, which was fine. "Love teach Carnivore more after storm." Like it or not the rain was coming down pretty darn hard out there so even if they did decided to train at this very moment they wouldn't be able to do much, visibility was pretty much nothing at this point.
With a shake of his head Carnivore walked over to where Tilly was laying down. Carefully he circled three times, his usually routine before laying down to sleep, before lowering himself down beside Tilly. He long thick tail draped over her body. The storm had made the temperature drop a bit and while he could handle it chances were Tilly would really feel the chill. Lightning flashed overhead followed closely by a rumble of thunder, it would be a while before the storm passed. After a quick glance at Tilly to make sure she was comfortable Carnivore turned his attention to his mentor, the fight over his mare temporarily forgotten - but only because Love seemed willing to give it up as well. "What Love teach Carnivore next?"

Tilly snuggled down beside Carnivore. She popped one eye open to glance at him and then sighed before tucking herself down for some seriously needed sleep. She was finally safe. No more running... She would be protected from the men...all she needed was to lay low for a while... and then she would be fine.
The words the two stallions spoke puzzled her though. "Training?" she mumbled the word but was already falling fast asleep with the warmth of carnivore surrounding her and the soothing sound of the rain.
She never heard an answer... and she was probably glad she didnt...

Love looked at the stallion across for him... What was he gonna teach next. They had almost exhausted his knowledge... "We just need to put more muscle on you before we go stalk down Thanos..."
He shrugged. "More sparring..... learning to control the anger... But thats about it.... you are almost ready Carnivore.... you just have to pick when..." He tossed his tail. "I would bet on you any day.... now that is..."
Love sighed and looked out past the line of trees. Looking back he tossed his head. "What do you plan to do with her?"
