I have recurring dreams a lot too, Fresnel! Gets kind of dull after awhile, yeah? ^^;;
I'll often dream that I'm walking into my old house with all the lights off, and I find my dolls and stuffed animals chained to the furniture. Except they can talk. And they tell me someone chained them up and whoever it is is wandering around in the house somewhere. So of course the rest of my dream is spent looking for this mysterious person. It's almost set up like a video game, since every time I have the dream I walk the exact same path as I always do, sometimes searching through more or less rooms then I had before. And I've never found the person, though once I walked into the rec room and saw a shadow move across the floor. Then of course I woke up.
What I find the most strange is that I've been dreaming this since I was five (which makes sense, since the dream takes place where I lived when I was that age). Maybe it means something?
Yes, recurring dreams do get kind of boring after you've been having pretty much the same one for years. And in my case, it's this big searching dream, so I generally wake up tired.
Yours sound like some sort of anxiety dream, Fishee. Perhaps you felt trapped at that age, and very insecure, or still do? My dream, in which I'm endlessly searching for a place to live, means, I think, that I am looking for my place in life, that I never feel "at home". I'm just remembering the vivid feelings I have in the dream, and I think this is dead on. This was definitely true in years past, less so now, and I have the dream less now.
