"Interesting things? Yeah, you could say that. Sometimes more interesting than others, mostly it's just broken would and ripped cloth." Every once in a while there were gold circles and shiney gems. The female seemed to be quite interested in the abandoned human dwellings. "Would you...like to come with me? I'm on my way to check one out right now."

A wide grin broke out on Psyche's face. "Really? You wouldn't mind me tagging along?" So what if there was mostly broken wood and ripped cloth? It was something new to do. Something new to experience. And with Rui off in his cave, he might not even find out about this excursion. "Is it near here?" Psyche hadn't heard of one nearby. Then again, she hadn't explored most of the nearby areas.

"Well," he hedged, "it's not too far away...but you probably wont be home till after nightfall. If you don't mind the walk, you can absolutely come with me. Company would be nice." Kylar hoped she'd say yes and go with him. Her enthusiasm was infectious. The fact that she was rather pretty didn't hurt either, and he smiled at her.

Psyche smiled back, tail moving back and forth in excitement. "Of course I wouldn't mind walking. If I had wings I'd fly there." And to be out after nightfall? Walking under the stars was think Pysche loved to do, whenever she was awake enough to do so. Some of the time she was asleep before the first star came out when the adrenaline wore off. "Shall we go now?"

Kylar watched in amusement at the female's show of barely caged excitement. "Yes, let's go now." He replied. The purple fox was filled with amusement at the fact that he was stealing Psyche right out from under the grumpy deer fox's nose; Kylar did like to take things that didn't belong to him. With another smile, he rose and trotted off into the trees, "This way, Psyche."

Psyche grinned and hurried after the other. Out on another adventure. And with another fox too. Surely Rui won't see any harm in that. That is...if he ever figured out where she went. She giggled at the thought of Rui looking every where, if he still cared. Sometimes after their usual fight she couldn't tell. Psyche waited until they were a ways away from where Rui went before speaking. "So.....what else do you do besides explore?"

Kylar gaze slid to the side to look at Psyche and shrugged. There really wasn't any reason to hide it, besides, he could stop her from fleeing long enough to explain. If she still didn't like it, then she could go home if she wanted. "I steal. That's what I'm going to the human dwelling for. They have gold disks and shiney gems sometimes." He wanted to find something rare, something he could give to his elder.

Psyche's eyes widened. "Steal? Like take an item that doesn't belong to you?" Why would a fox do that? Especially with human objects. Did he do it just for fun? "What do you do with the stuff you...steal? Hoarde it?" That would make sense. Especially when Rui mentioned gold disks and shiny stuff. What use did foxes have with those? She tilted her head slightly and her grin grew as a thought occured to her. "And is it really stealing if the human dwelling is abandoned? Doesn't abandoned mean never coming back to?"

"Well...yeah." Kylar replied as if it were the obvious answer. Then he remembered that not everyone stole and softened his tone. "I bring it back to my elder...well, part of the booty I bring back to my elder. The rest I keep. I suppose hoarde is as good a word as any for what we do with the swag."
He watched her grin and raised his eyebrows, wondering what she was thinking. She soon told him by way of her question. "It is true the building is abandoned and has been for a while...but that doesn't mean no one's going to come back. Both humans and foxes will use abandoned human dwellings to hide their hoarded goods. It's always a risk that a human pitrate or thief will come upon us while we're looking. Or another fox."

"So....your elder has the biggest hoarde of all then?" Why give the items away anyways? "Do you give them to him because you want to? Or because he asks you to?" She tried to imagine her companion dressed as one of these...pirates; as well as a human dressed in her idea of one and giggled at the silly image. She sobered quickly once the fact that others went to these places was voiced. "Have you ever been in a fight as a result of someone else coming?" She hadn't realized that there could be danger to going to the human dwelling. Climbing cliffs was one thing. She could control somewhat what happened. But if someone else came to the dwelling...she couldn't control other people.

"She demands a tithe. That would be a certain small percentage of what you steal yourself, so yeas, she has the biggest hoard, but you get to pick and choose what you give her. And then, if you want something she has, you can always trade for it...though you have to find something really rare that she will like." Kylar explained, smiling when she giggled.
Kylar turned to give Psyche a reassuring smile. "I haven't gotten in a fight yet because I'm very good at hiding, and very good at being patient. The best time to get into a human dwelling is when the scent is just beginning to fade. That means the humans just left and are less likely to show up when you're stealing. If the humans are there, we don't go it. Okay?"

"Something rare to trade her? Does she have everything already?" Where did the elder put everything if that was the case. Psyche almost gave a sigh of relief. "Sounds like a plan." She really did not want to get into a fight. She always hated the thought of it. Maybe that was why she only hung around Rui. Her companion now was honestly only the second fox Pyshce had met. Maybe if all went well, and maybe while traveling, Psyche would meet more. She'd like that. Psyche started bouncing again. "So how much stuff have you hoarded? Does it fill up your den to where you have to sleep somewhere else?"

Kylar chuckled. "No, she doesn't have everything. Rarer items are just more valuable, so she wants more of them. I'm just starting out, so my hoard isn't as large as some of the other's. And we don't hide them in our dens; we have a special hiding place that we hope our other tribe mates don't find." A tribe they may be, but they were still theives.
Coming around a thick bush, Kylar caught sight of the human dwelling. He stopped Psyche and dropped to his belly, motioning her to do the same. "Alright, I want you to stay here. I'll go look around and make sure there isn't a strong human scent. Okay?"

Again the image of foxes dressed like pirates crossed Psyche's mind, causing her to start giggling again. Eyes widening, she put her paws over her mouth to stifle them. They were out of sight of anyone by laying on their stomachs. She didn't want to alert anyone that they were here simply because her imagination was being funny. She seperated her paws from her mouth a little. "Alright," she whispered.
She wasn't going to insist that she help scout the place. She was a newcomer to all this. He was the expert. Let him go ahead and do so. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long. She decided to try to imagine what types of rare items that Kylar's elder might want. What could they possibly be? What items did Kylar have stored away too?

Slowly and with infinite patience, Kylar made his way down to the dwelling on silent paws. Nosing about, he determined that some human had been there in the last day or two. It didn't seem to be there now, though, so Kylar felt fine bringing Psyche in. Still, he needed a back up plan. Eyeing the back of the building, he began to dig.
Kylar shook some dirt from his fur as he returned to Psyche's hiding place. "There's no one there right now. Come on, let's go check it out." He nosed her cheek and turned back the way they came.
*do you want them to get 'discovered' by the human theives?*
