yeah ive been hearing about it being repealed. but im not buying it. i severly doubt it. i always keep my gaurd up. hell my NCOs hate us. they think it will be appealed if they have too many violent incidents w/ too many miltary members being discharged due to that. it infuriates me when i heard them talk about it. im just saying. im pretty negative in the subject.

My cousin was administratively processed from the Coast Guard for being homosexual... So I'm just glad this is be done away with. He was really enjoying his time in there, and wanted to serve the country. But because he liked boys, he isn't fit to serve? That's ridiculous!
I'm heterosexual, but I was so happy when we received the DADT training (even if I had to fight to stay awake)! This is a step in the right direction and it makes me proud to serve in the Navy.
Even just where I work, on a tiny base, I can tell some people are trying to hide it. It has to be horrible to listen to people say cruel things about your sexual orientation, and not even be able to take up for it.
I work with someone whose desk is right in front of mine, and she's severely homophobic. She won't even claim her sister because she's a lesbian, won't let her kids know their aunt, etc. Every time she says something homophobic, I have to bite my tongue. I want to just scream at her that it's not disgusting, that SHE is. It's a normal, common thing now and if she can't accept it, she needs to leave the military. Now, am I going to say this to her? No, because she holds more rank than I do. XD But if she were to say anything like that after 20 SEP, you best believe my CMEO will hear of it.
