She certainly wasn't very receptive towards him, or at least, that's how it felt. It caused the cub to pause and peer at the female more closely. It wasn't as if he'd done anything wrong and he'd even offered to bring some bubbly water back with him but apparently, this wasn't a very good offer at all. Unsurprisingly, he pulled a slight face to indicate his discontent and shook his head - well, he really shouldn't have been surprised, there were very few in this pride that he'd met that were happy.
Apparently 'living for the moment' wasn't really encouraged in everyone's family, even if his mother had raised all her children in this manner. He'd been encouraged to have big dreams and experiment, he'd been nudged towards investigating what made him curious. So long as he was aware of his limitations and didn't let himself get hurt then it was all okay!
"Well..." he said finally and rolled his shoulders, at a bit of a loss as to what to say. "Then you don't have to come see it when I bring it back," he concluded with a small nod.
